The "heavy claw" discovered in 1983 by amateur fossil hunter, William J. Walker in Surrey, England and described by Charig & Milner in 1986.
Baryonyx lived during the Early Cretaceous about 140 to 112 million years ago. It was 10 meters (32.8ft) in length, 2 and half meters (8ft) in height and 4 tons in weight. Although the only completed skeleton is thought to be from a sub-adult.
Baryonyx can be found on both Isla Nublar & Sorna, though never witnessed on the tour on Nublar or by the expeditions to Sorna. It could be seen listed on the JP Brochure Map found in the Ford Explorer tour vehicles and on lab equipment in the lab on Sorna. Baryonyx was going to be the main star on JP/// but was replaced by a larger related species called Spinosaurus aegyptiacus.
