Views and Beliefs The Healers` Pledge: The healers are very strict in their code to heal everyone that needs it. They also refuse to hurt anything - which is why hunting is left to the actual hunters. It does go against their code to hurt anything, but they understand that they need meat to sustain themselves.
Hunting: Hunting is left to the hunting sector that provides for the whole pride. However, the life they took is honored with a blessing of thanks for their food and supplies, and pray for the soul to pass on to a new body.
Attacks: Attacks against the pride is usually avoided, and at a young age they are told to run from attackers. Hunters fight back, Crafters use traps and Healers use a special mix of herbs to put their captor to sleep so they may escape.
Violence within the Pride: There may be an occasional bad seed with the mix within the ranks. This is dealt with swiftly, and without any harmful means as it is against the violent one (or group). They are quickly put to sleep with a special mix of herbs and placed on a stretcher to be carried away from the pride lands. Those that are removed this way are permanently exiled from the pride.
Leaving the Pride (Journeyman): This is a rather momentous occasion for a Journeyman. It means they've graduated from being a simple apprentice and are good enough to heal/hunt/craft on their own. This is when they are set out to view the world and help in any way they can to the world around then and to find there new name. Journeymen come back to the pride as adults and graduate in rank. They are encouraged to travel with two other companions from different sections, for example if it is a healing journeyman they are encouraged to travel with a crafter and a hunter journeymen.
Right of Passage (returning from journey): This too is a momentous occasion for this is when a Journeyman returns to the pride with his or her new name. They are welcomed back into the pride with the full understanding that each knows his or her own craft. Leaving the Pride (Permanently): Other then those that have been exiled, youths, apprentices, and patients, the pride has a 'open door' policy, meaning that anyone other then those mentioned are welcome to come and go as they please.
Visitors: Visitors are welcome, if they are peaceful. Those that come with harmful intentions are made to leave.
Familiars: Familiars are treated as full members of the pride, each has a useful skill and so are normally paired up with someone.

Non-Lions/Hybrids: All members are treated equal amoung the eyes of the pride, no matter the species or gender. As long as they are peaceful and mean no harm to the patients or the pride members, they are welcome to stay and help or join, even leave again if they so wish.

Ranks by Sector Healing Sector Head Healer The head healer is also the head of the entire pride. Though they heal with the rest of the healers, they have the most experience in the field and is often the oldest (but not always). They must keep a level head against all odds and have the leadership skills to keep everything together. The Healing Sub-head and the Heads of the other sectors will report to the head healer.
Sub-Head The sub-heads are part of a council that help the Head Healer make the important decisions so everything is fair and equal.
