A lot of skeptics wonder why ghosts wear clothes if they are a human spirit. However, ghosts in the sterotypical sense usually wear flowing nightgowns or even tuxedos carrying a monocle with them. If they are a human spirit why are the clothes seen? Does that make them vain? lol
I've heard clothes was worn because of the shame that Adam and Eve had when they at the apple...in that sense, wouldn't it mean that they haven't been purified/forgiven (whether by someone else or themselves) since they are wearing clothes?

That's a really cool idea. I've never thought of it that way before.
Maybe the way you see a ghost is the way they imagine they are supposed to look. Meaning a ghost could see himself/herself wearing what they had been wearing before they died, or the way the ghost thought ghosts were supposed to look.

ghosts wear clothes cause when they die if they r wearing clothes it stays witht he spirit but if a person is dead without clothes she or he spirit is without clothes and some spirit actually wont go to heaven or hell they will stay where they die if they were murdered or made suicide and died of naturall cuase its only when the spirit nos he or she family or who loved them and the spirit loved them is calm if they ppl they new just forget about them or anger them the spirit will stay untill calm once again

All good theories, However, Little Mintchan... There are some "ghosts" that people have seen that wore different clothes from when they have died.
Also, if that person dies old, how come they can be a younger self?

when some ppl die they image themselves younger beautiful and in clothing they love if i died i would image being in a silk dress with long white hair
its kinda like that

I dont really know what to say. People die and seem to have clothes. I'd have to say they are all good theories but im almost 100% positive no one will know things like that for sure.
