And being a female she was shunned by her family members when she was just a baby. Her father gave her away to one of his brothers, Sia's uncle. She never met her real brothers until the day Itachi found out about her and told her why she was not living with them. She was determined to become a ninja to prove to a family she could be just as good as her brothers. The age of 9 she finally met her twin brother Sasuke and the whole clan was killed, except her and Sasuke, by Itachi.
She knew why the clan was killed but Itachi forced her not to tell Sasuke until Sasuke got his revenge.
