Battle theme song!In peaceful city located in the heart of Japan a feudal lord flexes his might upon the people. An individual store had failed to pay the ridiculous taxes force upon them. The lord angered with the store sent a few of his samurai to take care of the problem. Alas the samurai had made the mistake of angering a ronin within the store who was purchasing a few keepsakes. A battle enraged and a few minutes later the samurai were noting more than corpses at the feet of the ronin. Take his few trinkets the ronin was off. The Lord angered by this lone ronin placed a large bounty on the head of the man. Many samurai failed however to defeat the man and soon the Lord would even start to hire other ronin to take care of the man. Now however a battle upon the stone bridge was about to occur. Chaos the ronin, slayer of those men, stands face to face with Soul. Soul would try to defeat this man for the Feudal Lord and for the nice pay check that would ensue.

*Soul stood silently across from this sword wielding man. He had a gourd of Sake' strapped to his left hip, and flint pieces in his belt; obviousely he would use these two objects at the same time. He kept his left hand gripped on his sheath, for if the battle would insue, with a flick of his thumb, his blades would be out. A calm wind blew, blowing through his red locks. With a low tone, but loud voice, he spoke*
You....Are you the beast that slayed the Lord's samurai?

Chaos said nothing for a moment, just standing there. He didn't have his hand on his blade but instead had a bowl of fruit in his hands. "Slayed the Lord's Samurai? If you mean those fools who keep coming after me then yes..."
Chaos shook his head from side to side as he knew a battle was soon to erupt. "If you are one of those men then you do well to leave this place in peace, unless you wish to stain this bridge with your blood."

*Behind his black face mask, Soul gave a smirk. He bent down for a second and picked up a small rock, no bigger than a coin. He stood up straight, tossing it up in the air, watching fall back into his hand continuosly*
I am not one of those men, but i was sent by the Lord...
*Soul quickly shot the rock at Chaos' hand, smashing the fruit bowl. Fruit pieces hit the bridge with the bowl. Soul chuckled, egging the ronin on*

Chaos just watched as the fruit rolled on the ground. He didn't say anything for a moment and then looked up at Soul. "What did my peaches do to you? They were not going to harm you... Now they are all bruised and half of them fell into the water." Chaos walked over to the edge of the bridge and watched as a few peaches floated down the river. "Those were expensive too..."

*Soul shook his head in disapointment, seeing as the Fuedal Lord's own samurai could not defeat this man. He slowly walked forward to Chaos, his hand still on his sheath. Each step gave a clack from his wooden sandles*
I can see now that you're an idiot, meaning those last samurais were completely morons. To avoid getting blood on myself, i'm just going to bring to the Fuedal Lord.
*Soul was now no more than three feet away from the ronin. He unstrapped the sheath from his waist and began poking Chaos in the side with the end of it*

Chaos sighed and turned towards Soul, gazing at him through the one eye of his mask. "Well... I guess I will just have to avenge my fruit..." Chaos said as in a flash he had drawn his blade and was slashing upward at Soul's chest and face. An attack like this was difficult to block and would leave him unable to defend against an upcoming kick Chaos would deliver.

*Soul, caught off guard, stumbled backwards. He took his sheathed sword back, and luckily for him, that is what Chaos had hit: his sheath. Already off balance, Chaos' kick landed well on Soul's abdomen, knocking him over onto his back. Knowing he couldn't waste time, Soul flowed with the roll, rolling onto his neck and then getting to his feet. He quickly removed the sheeth from his katana and hild it firmly with both hands*
Ah, so you are responsive. Well then, it won't be as boring as i thought.

Chaos took a combat stance as he held his sword in one hand. "Why do you inferior sword users challenge me..." Chaos said as he drew his second sword, Chaos was a user of a two sword style.
"Two handed style has twice the power but two sword style has twice the options and twice the opportunity. Prepare yourself!" Chaos jumped onto the rail of the bridge and waited for Soul to make his move.

True, but you must split your strength in two!
*Soul made a fast, full 360 turn and smashed his blade into the railing, splinters flying and the snapping of wood filling his ears. He then pounced to the side, doing a tuck-and-roll away from the railing. He jumped up to his feet and turned to Chaos, he back in his normal stance*
Oh, and you will soon learn that i am nothing like those fuedal goons.

Chaos flipped into the air and landed on the other rail as Soul smashed the the railing. There he reestablished his combat stance. It was an odd stance; his left handed blade was parallel to the surface perpendicular to his body, his other blade was above his head its blade pointing at Soul. "Those who stand before a god get cut down like the rest."

Well, i see no god before me.
*Soul, too, changed his stance, holding his blade like a baseball bat. He crouched as low as he could and sprinted along the other railing, swinging his steel and cutting away the bars that held the railing up. When he took out enough, he turned around and faced Chaos, slinging his blade over to his right shoulder, right hand gripping it*

"Heh!" Chaos said as the rail under him gave way causing him to stumble, forcing him to the ground. As he jumped down Soul's blade came crashing down at him, using both his swords however he blocked Soul's attack. Yet he was on one knee, limiting his mobility. He had to do something or he would be rendered unable to defend.
Using Soul's strength Chaos leveraged himself and pushed himself off of Soul's blade as to slide under Soul, this would get Chaos out the situation and throw Soul off. Soul would still be exerting to much pressure on his blade to move fully, Chaos would take full use of this. Sliding under Soul, Chaos flipped both blades over as to cut the ankles out from Soul.

*Soul was already pushing forward as it was, so to dodge Chaos' counter, he pushed off the ground with his legs, doing another pounce-like tuck and roll. As he got back to his feet, he turned around to face his enemy. He began walking forward, his wooden sandles clacking against the wood of the bridge. He was going to try to take advantage while Chaos was still on the ground. He jumped up high, his blade held up high over his head. He was going to smash his blade down onto Chaos*

A smile formed on Chaos's face as Soul's blade came crashing down only to be caught in between the gap in his sandals. Chaos's sandals had steel plating on the base of them. "That won't work on me!" Chaos said as he suddenly went to sweep Soul's feet out from under him using his other leg.
This kick however wasn't the attack that Chaos planned to unleash. Once Soul dodged the attack Chaos would use his momentum to get himself to his feet and to slash upward at Soul before he could make a move.
