Name Meaning: Lin = Fine jade; forest
Matsumoto = place of the (divine) pine tree
Alias: LiLi, Mattie
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Height: ~5'9"
Weight: ~135 lbs
Skin: Healthy peach
Build: Athletic skinny
Ethnicity: British
Hair: Her straight hair is light blonde and when undone goes to about her waist. Although usually she puts it up in matching pigtails that brush her elbows. Often enough, Lin uses plain bands than the decorative ones. She also has side bangs that go to her shoulders.
Eyes: Her eyes are a dark, earthy green.
Clothing: Lin's style far from being preppy, her clothes usually tend to be on the darker side and with muted colors. To some it up in a few words, she dresses up in a punk/rocker style, but also has some other casual clothes that stray from her usual tastes.
Likes: Lin is a social butterfly. She likes to meet others. Whether the meeting is good or bad doesn't matter to her. She likes to try new things and have fun. Always the curious one, Lin likes to figure things out and ask questions, especially if it ends up pestering someone. A lover of all things loud, she likes shouting and loud music as well as roller blading
Dislikes: The blonde dislikes having to do tedious and boring things, such as schoolwork or cleaning. A girl who always likes to constantly be on the move, she doesn't like staying still or in one place for long. She also has a bad view of those who're killjoys, but there have been known to be a few exceptions.
Personality: As one can figure out, Lin is a loud girl with an open mind towards just about anything and everything. The type who is never down for long if at all, she's somewhat optimistic and always looking for something new and fun to do. She's friendly and eager to take care of her friends and help others. With a bit of an ego she can easily be seen in a negative light, but is usually seen as a good girl to be around with.
Background: Left at the doorsteps of an elderly Japanese couple with only a letter, Lin doesn't know her real parents and doesn't particularly care to find out. She figures that if they don't want her than she doesn't want them either. The young adult is content being housed with the Matsumoto couple anyways. Growing up near the Shibusen school, it was only a matter of time before she figured out her abilities as a technician, especially with her (also adopted) younger brother, Ren.

Alias: Matt, Matsu
Gender: Physically female, mentally male
Age: 16
Height: ~5'7"
Weight: ~119 lbs
Skin: Light beige
Build: Lanky
Ethnicity: Japanese/Chinese
Hair: Black with tints of blue, neat, short hair that ends to chin (. . . for my sake and yours, let's just say his hairstyle is similar to Kouno's from Princess Princess. -shot-)
Eyes: Ren's eyes are, from a distance, black, but upon closer inspection is actually dark chocolate brown.
Clothing: His clothing style is serious yet cool, with little layering, but still somewhat stylish. Unlike Lin who, although wears punk/rock clothes, also has a rainbow of colors in her wardrobe, Ren has more dark and plain colors. He sticks to wearing sneakers.
Likes: A total opposite of Lin, he prefers to quietly read by himself and likes peace and quiet. Although both are curious, Ren is curious in the sense of wanting more knowledge rather than learning up on his classmates. A perfectionist by nature, he also likes neatness and order.
Dislikes: Obviously, Ren shies away from loud noises and dislikes those that meddles in the business of others without permission. He doesn't like messiness and chaos.
Personality: Unlike the loud and boisterous Lin, Ren is quiet and serious. It's most likely that he meets others by being pulled away from his books by his older sister. A cautious perfectionist, he always likes to think of a plan before doing anything else. Despite the aloof personality, he is also loyal to those he calls his friends and upholds the law.
Background: His childhood is somewhat blurry in certain spots. At the age of six he can recall waiting at the park for someone that never came, most likely his parents. He was then taken in by the Matsumoto couple and raised with his sister Lin.

The two certainly made quite a pair. One would have thought that they would have been biting at each other already. It was just that the many years of living and growing up together rectified that. Despite the fact that the other was normally someone that they would dislike, they cared for each other and ignored that fact. They were family after all, blood-related or not.
Lin grinned and wrapped an arm around an unsuspecting Ren, his eyes instead glued to the lines of words in his book. Viridian eyes leaned over the younger boy’s shoulder to see what he was reading. The blonde’s face scrunched up, appalled at the topic that he was reading. “Geezus, ReiRei. A kiddie like you shouldn’t be reading stuff that are serious business!” she proclaimed and with her free hand reached out towards the book.
Without batting an eyelash he placed a bookmark at the page he was reading and slammed it shut, nearly taking his sister’s fingers in the process. Dark-colored eyes turned to stare at the woman. “I’d rather you not fiddle with what I’m doing, Lin,” Ren answered with utmost seriousness.
She laughed it off and slapped him on the back. Hard. Ren buckled forward and winced, a perplexed look on his face.
To say this happened often was an understatement. It was more like this was a daily occurrence and Ren now had an eternal bruise on his back.

Since the siblings already live near the school, they live in a house with the Matsumoto couple. Grateful to their parents, they manage to keep the small house in shape and sparkling clean (although this is mainly Ren's doing).
Although their personalities somewhat clash, because they both have a sibling love for each other Soul Resonance is possible. Rather than one blade (or whatever it's called OTL) on the chainsaw, it'd be multiple ones and they would be sharper than ever.
