This is very much a work in progress as you can see. Just scrolling through, it's rather... blank. xD;
Just to put it out there right away, this pride is based on the community structure of Hogwarts, we opted not to include the magical aspect, but we stuck to the houses, which were renamed in latin. If you read through, it'll become much clearer.
Suggestions are always welcome.
Both myself and Seaki are working on this pride together feel free to talk to either of us. We're availible through PM or AIM. (Or screen names will be located at the bottom of this post.)
Thank you, Cajanic, for letting us steal the Suka'Fumo concept Layout.
Not everything is here yet but feel free to look and post. The history will be similar to what is actually in the HP books, minus magic. Over the next while more stuff will be added.

Summary It's gonna be like... Four 'regular soa' founded the pride, only know to pride by their latin names (The House names), and long ago, an evil lioness developed without their knowledge and ganered followers, nearly destroying the pride, before the current 'headmistress' (your cheetah girl) over threw him and started to collect other creatures to rebuild the ranks.

Name: Legio Translation: Legion (Together, Unit, United)
Cert Colors: Silver and Purple Outer Rim: C1C1C1 'Horizon' Color 1: C8A9EA 'Horizon' Color 2: DADADA Rank Stroke: 9A9A9A
Cert Background: Willow tree by a lake. Image Coming Soon
Symbol: Coraggio: Lion Fideliaitis: Genet Consillio: Avian Dolosus: Snake
Location:
Synopsis: Legio is loosly based off of the hogwarts structure and was made to fit that of a lion pride. Rivalry is obviously not really an issue within the pride as everything needs to be connected to work properly. You really don't need to know much about the Harry Potter series, or even like it, to join. We do ask that you respect anyones love for the series, be it book or movie.
The house structure changed a little, though there are still four houses. Each represents a sort of... field of study, so to speak and the sorting is based on what the creature would be best at.
Anyhow. All 'regular' SoA are accepted as full on memebers, familars are used as well... familiarts and will help the 'regular' SoA. Gender and Species doesn't matter to hold a rank.
Characters do not have to be based off of anyone in the Harry Potter series, so don't feel obligated to get one based off of Harry Potter or one of the other characters.

Breeding/Mates: Mates are a personal choice for each member, they are encouraged but not mandatory. Mates may reside in the same house or different houses, as the cus will be placed into their houses upon reaching juvenile stage. Breeding outside the pride is frowned upon, though it is rather case-by-case with it. Giving outsiders cubs without bringing any back would be extremely bad, especially if found out. OOC Permission is needed for Outsider Breeding. Flings are accepted, though most of the pride is indifferent to it.
Cubs: Cubs are to be educated about all houses of the pride. They will live in their parents house with them until they reach the age of juveniles. Cubs are educated by the Philologus who are responsible for taking the cubs to each house so they can see what the other houses are like and what all the jobs of the pride are. The Sortitus also informs them of the different houses. All cubs are viewed as wonderful, even if they resulted from a fling or and outer-pride breeding.
Juves: When cubs reach this stage they will be the time in which they are placed in the house that will be their permanent house. This transitions is decided by the owner of the cub. Usually the sorting is done through an RP with the Sortitus as a group, but it is decided by the owner.
New Members: New Members are always welcome. They will be brought into the pride by the Coadunatio. For the first while of their stay they will be allowed to drift between houses, after three months they will be have to be sorted into a house which they will permanently reside in. They may ask for the sorting ceremony to occur before the three months are up though if they wish. The Sortitus and Philologus will basically run through the pride information the same as they give the cubs.
Leaving the Pride: While members of the pride, particularly those who reside in the Fidelitatis House are allowed and at times even encouraged to leave the pride for short periods of time, once someone permanently leaves they would have to come back and speak to the leader of their house to explain why the believe they should be allowed back into the pride once they have already turned their back on it. Some houses take disloyalty harshly, so think carefully.
Visitors: Visitors are allowed but will be closely guarded and watched by the Coadunatio during their entire visit and may be asked to stay to the outer limits of the pride lands.
Familiars: Familiars are an option that a juvenile receives when they get sorted. If they chose they may get a familiar to call their own. This will be their companion for life. Most juves will obtain familiars upon sorting or soon after. Mated familiars will often allow their young to bond to Juveniles in the pride.
Non-Lions/Hybrids: This is an equal opportunity pride. All major species (Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Wild Dogs, Hyenes, and Hybrids) are seen as equal. All ranks are open to every species.
Death: Normally, death would be a sad occasion, but the passing of life is not viewed as a bad thing. The 'Celebration of Life' is held whenever a death occurs within the pride. SEE Celebration of Life

The whole of the pride worships five gods in total. Each house has their patron god or goddess, while the entire pride praises the god of unity, who they call ______. They celebrate the God of Unity for bringing them together and keeping them together for so long. Since Unity and Togetherness is valued in this pride, the entire pride gets together for a week each year and celebrates the pride's existence in the name of ______. Togetherness is, not only valued, but the is the wheel that keeps the pride running. SEE ------
Most of the inhabitants worship two gods - _____ and their patron god, but cubs that are born within a single house and are sorted into a different one often can be heard saying the name of three of the god/desses.

ALL RANKS MAY BE HELD BY ANY SPECIES OR SEX
The following ranks are general and don't belong to any set house. Regalis (Head Master/Mistress): The up most leader of the pride... they are not involved in the day to day running of each house, they are there to insure the smooth operation of the entire pride and only get involved in a house hold if it is an extreme cases. They are generally unbiased and have a sense of leadership. When everything is running smoothly they can be seen walking throughout the houses. The Regalis deals with outer-pride relationships and treaties. The next Regalis is normally chosen by the Regalis or the Sortitus, since the Consuasor may not always become the next Regalis. Consuasor (Deputy Headmaster/mistress): The right hand man (or women) to the Regalis. They are there to keep the Regalis informed of issues within the pride. If there are issues that a pride member feels needs the Regalis' attention must first apply through the Consuasor. Small issues go through the consuasor first before getting to the Regalis, f it can be solved by them. They are kindly, and unlike the Regalis or Sortitus, they come from any of the four houses, normally chosen for leadership and problem solving abilities. They are appointed by the Regalis.
Sortitus (Sorting Hat): *Must be a Seer* The Sortitus is the one who leads the Sorting Ceremony. The Sortitus is thought of as to have special abilities to be able to see where a members belong best. They are valued greatly within the pride and will usually walk trhough the houses to chat with the children. The Sortitus's second job is to help the cubs make an unbiased choice if s/he cannot make a clear descision.
'Novus' (Youth): Despite having a 'general' rank, the cub stays with his/her parents until they become juves. Cubs are very important as they are the future. They take time to stay in every house to see the individual runnings of each. They're usually taken by their parents or the Sortitus to take them through the entire pride. They are given the basic teaching and outlines of each job. However, the most important is playing - cubs are urged to play because once they are sorted, time play goes down by a lot. After all, the cubs will be the future of the pride.
Regius (Head of House): The Regius is the leader of the house he or she resides in. They are responsible for over seeing their houses activities and keep everything in order. They must be willing to comunicate with other houses to ensure the smooth running as a pride. As each house depends on the next for survival. This position has leadership skills and the ability to solve problems without jumping the gun, so to speak.
Cuius (Head Boy/Girl): The mate of the Regius, they are sometimes responsible for some management of the house, but they must obey the Regius just as everyone else in the house. The Cuius will help gather information on problems and will keep the Regius up to par with the happenings of the house. They will, more often then the Regius, go to the Regalis or Consuasor if they run low on supplies of if there is a problem within the house that cannot be solved. Despite being the mate of the Regius, they should have a sharp mind, for they also have to inform the Sortitus of a birth soon after it happens.
Procer (Prefect): The heir to the Regius. The heir is not necessarily the biological child of the Regius as the biological children may be sorted into other houses. The Regius reserves the right to choose who is their heir. An heir is named when he or she is after they have been sorted. The Procer from here learns the deep runnings of the pride and their house, along with leadership and problem solving skills. They are usually chosen before adolescent, since at that stage, the housling must choose a job and further their studies in that chosen career.
Venator (Hunter): The hunters sustain the nutrition of the pride. They usually form hunting groups as not to exhaust themselves. Hunters bring back the food for the entire pride to feast, be it fish, land-prey or avian. Bravery is important in the field as many travel far or even fight off scavengers to have the meal brought back the the pride. Many eat at the sight first before bringing the remainder back.
'Militis' (Warrior/Knight): 'Militi' are charged with fighting battles with rival prides. They will either invade or protect the pride. While there may not be many of these, they are specifically trained in the art of war. They don't mind blood or fighting, and will often spar in an open field to become stronger. They will sometimes travel away to test their strengths against other, larger creatures.
Quaero (Scout): The Quaero are meant for scouting out the area surrounding them for further resources and lands. They report directly to the Regalis and Regius when they scout free land. They double to warn off any dangerour looking intruders and to alert the pride of their pressense. If the 'intruder' seems safe enough, they will escort them into the lands, bringing them to the Regalis or Consuasor. Normally found at the borders
Coadunatio (Liasion): Coadunatio deliver messages within the pride and keep relations with neighboring prides. They're trained in language skills and usually are found outside the pride. They are incharge of carefully crafting messages to and from foreign prides/packs and are usually the first to know of a forming pride/pack in the area. They quickly strike up relations with any forming and existing prides. They are meant to keep peace, so at this rank, one must be fairly friendly.
Fabula(Story Teller): The Fabula are those members who leave the pride lands to collect stories and then return to tell stories to their pride about the outside world. They spend a lot of their time outside the pride. On some cases, Fabula will make up their own stories and tell them to the young of the pride. Their stories are meant to teach morals while not always being realistic (aka fairy tales).
Remaneo (Historian): The Remaneo are those who strive to collect knowledge and the history of their pride. They try to make sure that nothing is lost information wise, and are very dedicated to their work. They often search for bones and trinkets of the past dwellers of the lands and pass down what they know to their apprentice. Remaneos often collaborate and share amoungst themsemselves to check information and once they are sure of the history, they hell the story to the Fabula who in turn tell the youth.
Philologus (Scholar): The Phiologus are the teachers of the pride. They are responsible for teaching all the cubs of the prides about the different houses and jobs in the house. They also are around to answer questions of new members. They are responsible for general education of the pride. They will often collaborate with Remaneo and Fabula for general lessons in each area. They're generally go with children, as they are the primary teachers of the pride.
Posterus (Seer): *Must be a Seer* This is the rank where most if not all seers in the pride would belong. They are there to help be watchful eye over the pride, and may provide a helpful hand to those in other positions. Sometimes, seers are seen with the Remaneo or the Sortitus. With the Remaneo, they help with confirming history. They also train young seers develop their gifts.
Regius (Head of House): The Regius is the leader of the house he or she resides in. They are responsible for over seeing their houses activities and keep everything in order. They are usually chosen before adolescent, since at that stage, the housling must choose a job and further their studies in that chosen career.
Medicus (Medic): The Medicus are the doctors of the pride. They are around to help care for any of the pride members who might be injured. They're quite talented in finding out what exactly is wrong with the other, and will administer herbs to wounds to help them heal faster. They are most commonly affiliated with the 'Militis' and the Venator. The Medicus will sometimes travel outside of the lands to ally prides to help healing.
Commisceo (Herb Mixer): The Commisceo mix the potions and medicines that are needs but the Medicus to heal. They are extremely knowledgable about herbs and how to mix them. During warring times, they are also know to make poisons that can be absorbed through paw pads or ingestion. However, their primary focus is on healing remedies.

At the moment Joining is completely open. We are looking for almost every rank. If you are interested please post the provided forms.
We might be a little picky about the leadership positions just because they are going to be very important in the operation of the pride and we want to know this person is going to be in for the long run.
If you would like to do a 'Joining RP,' the Regalis is currently unavailible, you may always speak to the Sortitus about joining.
Check the members list for limited roles, but really, we need members, and we're working on fleshing this out to make it more appealing.
On Concepts: We do accept concepts currently, but the funds will fall mostly on you. Essi and Seaki will evenually make a concept fund but we both currently don't have the gold to do so.

Legio values the closeness of bonds between its members, ticking like clockwork. If fights erupt, the whole process would fall apart, leaving the pride desolate once again. Under a new leader, however, the pride hopes to retain its close bonds within the pride and out. The pride's name literally means Legion, Unity and Togetherness, and that's what they hope to achieve and remain. Cert Background Large Image: Background Cert Symbols: Main House/Legio, Coraggio, Fidelitatis, Consillio, Dolosus, Cert Colors: Outer Rim: C1C1C1 'Horizon' Color 1: C8A9EA 'Horizon' Color 2: DADADA Rank Stroke: 9A9A9A Mock Cert Pride/Pack History: Long ago, before the first know plague struck the southern tip of Africa, four prides lived in a time of War. Each of these prides was new into the area - families settling into an area with similar strength.
The four great clans were in a stalemate - each with a great leader presiding over them. Coraggio, Fidelitatis, Consillio, and Dolosus.
The families that joined with Coraggio were inspiried by his bravery, a powerful kind he would be if he could take over these lands. They were warriors at heart, and believed they had a sole right to the lands. The golden lion characteristically sported a mane of flames, according to legend.
Fidelitatis was a small wild dog with a powerfully kind heart. The beautiful dog was simply a beatiful gold in nature, with eyes as back as coal. She worked hard with what she did, and the families that followed her to the lands loved her and adored the hardworking area. She believed they should split the lands against everyone to make for a peaceful home. Unfortunately, the others ignored her.
An strong-minded female - Consillio - conterbalanced the others. The glue and bronze cheetah had a stragetic mind, and could no doubt out-manuever the other leaders with her mind. The families that followed her cared much about learning and the workings of the area, meticulous and studious. With their leader quick on her mind as well as her feet, they had a way to take the lands for themselves.
The last pride leader, Dolosus carried families skilled with poisons and healing, hoping to take over the area by killing off the other prides that would get in the way. The green male with marks of silver believed the lands were rightfully his, claiming them left to him from his father.
And so they fought. Their fighting was a stalemate - each leader looked on in horror ask their numbers dwindled, none winning and none losing, but no one wanted to give in, no one wanted to leave the lands.
On twentieth day of the third spring of the war, a small white lion stepped forward as the leaders turned to fight each other. He had sad, silver eyes. None recognized the cub though, as he looked upon them. "I am Patronus," he said with a tired voice, like that of an elder. As though he saw to much in his life for one so young. And he had. He shook his head, as if patronizing them without words.
"Is this what you do?" He asked, his voice pleading. "Fight? All the time? Can't you see you need eachother?" He asked as stars glittered from his eyes. He shook his head again, disgusted and limped away. Yes, that's what the great leaders needed. Someone to tell them how wrong they were.
So instead of gnashing at one another's throats, they came together, setting aside their difference to come together. They fit together wonderfully, and they could grow from eachother. So they mixed, forming a close bond with eachother.
This many springs, bringing new lives into such a wonderful coalition.
However, the children of the leaders held a bitter hate for each other and harbored the hate in their children. Generations for hatred continued down the line until one of the houses decided to do something.
Vertodenecro he called himself, a member of Dolosus. His hate was so strong for the other house leaders, so one night - he brewed poisons, perfect for each of the leaders and killed them in the night.
He was clever though. He played on the other's leaders strengths to make the deaths look as if they came from members of the other houses - fleeing himself.
The coalition wrought up in chaos, blame was cast on each of the houses and fighting commenced once again. Anger and mourning clouding sympathy and love. Couples were split in the fray and killed if caught together.
Once again, the pride dwindled in numbers until only a few remained, and they to fled from the lands they once called their home.
One female, a young cheetah, found his unacceptable. She grew strong in the time of fighting, looked over by the familiar of her mother - a serval. Hetal'Aspasia, she was called, her caretaker Konata.
With the last straggling fighters, they were separated. Hetal was lost, confused. The daughter of a leader - the heir to a coalition that no longer existed.
She traveled aimlessly until the coalition could be reformed.
Her luck was changed upon meeting a tired seer called Mufasa who foresaw the pride's re-formation. They banded together, newly inspired and seeping with energy, they pulled together a pride with new ideas on how to work together. To depend on each other.
Slowly, the life began to return to the coalition, to the lands at the tip of the continent. New life would begin.
