Very Very Far Away
Over the sea and across a hill
Is a place of absolute quiet and still.
But people can’t get there because of where it’s placed
So please don’t try, it would just be a waste.
Though there has been a story of one lucky guy
Who made it to this place by touching the sky.
The story starts in this man’s house.
He sat on the couch with a cat and his spouse.
And then comes this flash, this pulse, and a cry.
Then in an instant the man began to fly.
But his body could not steer, could not guide, and could not flap.
And then he landed with a ‘thud!’ in a place off the map.
So there the man was, his name had been Ned,
And he looked all around but had nothing to be said.
Around him was something that touched him so,
That his heart stopped, and his face seemed to glow.
But we still don’t know what he saw that day
Because he is still there; very very far away.
