Cameron Patel; ----something less than scents of shades drips from my hands and paints me pale
[general information]
Name: Cameron's name comes from his grandfather who was also 'Cameron' like his grandfather before him. In other words it's a tradition in the Patel family for each second son to be named 'Cameron'. Age: 16 Nationality: American Hometown: Death City, Nevada, US Current Residence: Death City, Hartman Residence Occupation: student, also does all sorts of things Talents/Skills: Especially gifted with his hands. He loves to sew, cook and do housework and he apparently is trying to get himself the green thumb by cultivating tomatoes on his balcony. Birth order: Firstborn (only child) Siblings: (N/A) Parents: Clair Smith (mother) and Neuman Patel (father). Cameron doesn't like talking about his family in general and he will rarely visit home, preffering to stay at Devon's house instead since Devon's father not only seems not to mind but feels glad there's always someone to watch over his daughter when he is not around. That being said his relationship with his parents is pretty much cold and distanced.
Significant Others: none really... Sexual Orientation: homosexual, though asexual is pretty much more what Cameron is. He doesn't feel attracted to girls but had once feelings for a guy.... he isn't attracted to males either though, so it could just be he still has not found the 'right person' to fall in love with.

Cameron Patel; -------red tears float in neonlight makes the night a day too bright
[Physical Characteristics]
[ sketch of doom ]
Height: 173 cm Weight: 58 kg Race: human, demon weapon Eye Color: stormy grey Hair Color: indigo-black Hair style: relatively short cut, he ruffles it up so it always looks like he just woke up from napping. When it rains his hair become even messier. Cameron doesn't seem to mind that either. Skin color: quite pale Distinguishing features: Cameron's skin is marred by wounds of unknown origin. It could be a turbulent childhood, it could be training, it could be both together, in either case not much is known about them but the fact they are there. He doesn't like to show his scars around so he makes sure to be dressed in clothes that cover up as much skin as possible. How does he/she dress? Cameron, as forementioned, always wears clothes that cover up a lot of skin. In summer he will still try to wear his long-sleeved shirts and jackets, however Devon is making slow progress into talking him to wearing other things too. Cam wears a lot of belts in various places where they do not belong (such as his knees, ankles and so on, so forth). His colors of choice are usually bright and fluorescent contrasting with usually black pants and shoes. For footwear his choice is soft, versatile trainers that will aid him in running, walking and/or anything else and make him feel comfortable while doing so.
Mannerisms: Generally casual and polite even with people he doesn't know Cameron may once in a while appear distant and cold without really meaning to. This happens because against all the odds he is a bit shy with strangers and will indulge into dialogue in which he gives one-worder replies that can drive someone insane. His one-worder policy also applies when he doesn't feel like explaining things or feels particularly down. Once he warms up to someone he becomes a really pleasant person to have around. Unlike what you'd expect of a person with Cameron's weight he is a severe case of a sweet tooth, a real bane to chocolate, ice-cream, muffins, cakes and all things that include sugar. And as far as sweets are concerned he also loves to cook them, often bringing tupperware with various experimental cookie recipes at school where he makes people try them out and tell him their opinnion on them. Thankfully he rarely ever makes something that doesn't tastes good. Habits: Cameron appears to be prone to nervousness so he had to come up with ways to deal with it, so whenever it happens he indulges himself in various menial tasks to unblock his brain. Those tasks include folding origami cranes or dissapearing into the kitchen for hours, during which he'd forbid anyone from entering. Cameron always gets up at the break of dawn and from that moment starts a perfectly-timed marathon of tasks that include cleaning the house, prepairing lunch, reviewing homework, excercising and waking Devon up -which is far harder a task than it sounds-. Other habits include mumbling and cursing under his breath when he's having a bad day and always reading some sort of literature before sleeping. Health: Cameron is almost never sick, catching the occasional cold in mid-winter sometimes. However he's extremelly allergic to various forms of pollen so Spring is living hell for him. Hobbies: Cooking, reading literature, excercising, as of lately gardening, karaoke and (surprisingly) various rythm/dance games at which he aces. Vernacular: soft-spoken, and generally polite as well as with a 'stick-to-the-rules' attitude. Depending on wether he knows someone or not he speaks more or less. Style: Quite casual, he may sport goth-punk details at times such as his multiple belts.
Weapon form: Cameron is your average scythe-weapon. Old-fashioned? yes. Effective? hell yes. Sexy?: the truth is but a click away! Elements?: none, but this is a touchy subject...

Devon Hartman; Distant flickering, greener scenery. This weather's bringing it all back again. Great adventures, faces and condensation. I'm going outside to take it all in.
[general information]
Name: her father chose the name 'Devon' for her after her mother died giving birth to her. There seemes to be no good reason behind the choice of name other than it sounded good. Age: 15 Nationality: American Hometown: Death City, Nevada, US Current Residence: Death City, Hartman Residence Occupation: student, otherwise unemployed for the time's being Talents/Skills: small-talk, stalking people, neglecting homework, able to sleep for 48 hours straight without waking up Birth order: Firstborn (only child) Siblings: (N/A) Parents: Aidan Hartman (father) and Sylvia Petrova (mother, deceased). Devon takes more care of her father than her father takes care of her, however they have a pretty loving fahter-daughter relationship with the former being overprotective at times to the point of giving Cameron endless lists of what to do and not to do when outside with his daughter to memorize. Devon adores her father equally but sometimes seems to grow tired of his antics.
Significant Others: none for now~ Sexual Orientation: heterosexual

Devon Hartman; -----------You say too late to start, got your heart in a headlock, I don't believe any of it. You say too late to start, with your heart in a headlock, You know you're better than this.
[Physical Characteristics]
[ sketch of doom ]
Height: 155 cm Weight: 56 kg Race: human Eye Color: clear blue Hair Color: straw-blond Hair style: medium-length, always uses various clips to hold them away from her eyes. Skin color: normal Distinguishing features: she's... short? Pretty short to be exact, other than that she is just a normal girl, nothing too extravagant about her. How does he/she dress? Devon's choice of clothes is usually girly but in a sporty manner. She wants her clothes to be made of soft fabrics and allow her freedom of movements, that said she is usually seen in shorts instead of longer pants for that same reason. For shoes she prefer sneakers, loafers or anything that will not weight her footing down. That's because she needs to be able to move freely in order to fight. Her choice of colors are soft hues of various colors -her favourites being green, pink and purple- combined with white.
Mannerisms: Generally kind but perky, Devon appears childish at times. She exclaims, exasperates, cries and rants like a child too. Of course fifteen years old isn't all that old that would prohibit such behaviours. Despite her naive childishness at times she appears to be doing things entirely mature, surprising everyone around her, thus revealing that in reality she's not really as shallow a character as she appears to be but is also a bit troubled on the inside about various things. If she becomes mad at you its a living hell, at least for the ten mnutes before she snaps back and become sullen, at which point you have either already apologized or are dead. Habits: Devon sleeps... a lot. She loves sleeping, especially when she needs to be wide-awake instead. This causes her to be constantly hunted down by Cameron who just needs to get her up or she'll be late for school. Additionally she hates homework and prefers to play video-games or read fashion magazines instead of actually doing it. She bites on her nails when nervous and when not, one habit she's unable to get rid of however hard she tries. Has a tendency to space out during class, conventional courses bore her. If she was able to change the educational system she'd enforce a law that the only subject allowed is P.E. Health: strong as a horse, or rather mare, Devon can boast that she has almost never caught a cold. Hobbies: However strange it seems for a girl, besides chatting, falling in love with passerby boys, gossiping here and there and updating her knowledge on the hottest fashion trends, Devon loves sports. The love of her life is baseball (to the point that she embedded it in her fighting style, despite Cameron repeating that he is a scythe and nothing even vaguely close to a baseball bat.) but she also plays soccer, basketball, tennis, volleyball and swims well. Truth been told the only sport she is not good at is chess... Vernacular: Devon speaks fast and a lot. Once excited she can go on for hours and hours without stopping. She exclaims a lot, exasperates a lot and is, in general, a person who you can read just by the way she's speaking. She doesn't make any attempts at showing her feelings, however much naive it may appear to third parties. Style: sporty, girly and almost always in-fashion

Hartman Residence; -----------Let me go home, it'll all be alright I'll be home tonight, I'm coming back home
The Hartman Residence is a small autonomous home in possession of the Hartmans ever since the father of Devon's father's grandfather (Devon's great grandfather) was still a little boy. The home was built there around that time and has been there since, standing still in it's place, hosting the Hartman family and everyone else that wants to come by. For the time's being it hosts Aidan, his daughter and Cameron who decided to live with them. It's also home to Cameron's tomatoes (yes, they are regarded as residents) and the black cat that goes by the name of Gilgamesh.
The Hartman residence has two floors. The bottom one consists of the kitchen, living room and the library as well as a W/C. The upper floor has three bedrooms, a spacious hallway and a larger bathroom. From the outside it seems like a pretty dull building made of stone, blending perfectly with the surrounding buildings, following Death City's almost medieval architecture. From the inside it's certainly more brighter and gives off a warm and welcoming feeling.
The cellar, located in the basement, houses all sorts of food and Aidan's proud collection of all sorts of wines from all around the world.

It's Teamwork; Cause its you and me and all of the people ----------with nothing to do, nothing to lose
It's obvious by one glance that Devon and Cameron are entire and complete opposites. Black and white. Yin and Yang. So different yet the same in a way that completes one another. Despite being as different they want to work together and try to work together, and by will comes success, as the two manage to operate quite well together. Combining Cameron's tactical skills and level-headed thinking with Devon's boundless energy and lightning reflexes and ability to make split-second decisions together they make a nicely balanced team that, with correct training, can do great things.

Soul Resonance; I scream through the night, too much evil to fight Nightmares are in sight, you spread a bright light
Cosmogony; When Soul Resonance is achieved it is like you dropped some sort of weight off Devon's shoulders and off Cameron's blade as well, making them both able to move far more freely. Cameron's blade glows in a pure white light. Once unleashed by slashing, the attack sends a crescent-shaped blow through the air that can strike in great distances. It is not possible to change the direction of the attack once unleashed. Additionally, the longer the attack is withheld the stronger it is when unleashed. Even if the attack does not hit, the light it releases is enough to, at least, dazzle an enemy for a little while.
At later levels of power, the number of the slashing attacks performed in Soul Resonance might increase, as well as their intensity.
A later form application of 'Cosmogony' called Big Bang sends a massive blow of the same energy utilized in Cosmogony's basic form to hit the ground and disperse in a perfect circle around the point of impact thus damaging anyone that might stand in the attack's wake.

Morning Disaster; First thing in the morning and last thing at night ------------------All is reborn, into dark into light
A pair of clear blue eyes and a pair of golden ones clashed viciously. Neither was backing down, this was perfectly clear to anyone that would stare into either set of eyes. The former pair, glimmering like the sky on clear mornings, belonged to a short girl with messy bed-hair, the later pair, similar to gold coins, where property of a tall, skeletal male figure, dressed in black. The day had already been off to a quick start, the girl not seeming to appreciate it. "...Dev... please... for the love of God... don't do this to me..." the boy spoke in a lowtone. His eyes were perfectly calm unlike the girl's that burned with flaming passion. His words were carefully picked out, almost as in begging, almost as if what he was talking about was the most grave matter in the history of mankind.
"But I don't WANNA go!" Devon exclaimed, finally breaking eye-contact with Cameron -and losing at their staring contest, but she always lost anyway, she didn't have the patience to keep it up for long, so of course she didn't mind- by tossing her pillow in his face. She pouted at him and attempted to glare, her face was so funny though -and she knew it- that she was sure that even Cameron's shirt buttons would be laughing at her.
...but Cameron didn't laugh.
He picked up the tossed pillow and returned it on the bed, exactly where it belonged, then heaved a deep sigh before dropping himself next to Devon on the bed to sit. She drove him nuts sometimes and his cool, level-headed attitude drove her mad, and he knew it. "Please?" he asked in a sweet voice, making a failed attempt at the puppy-dog face Devon knew so well to pull off. This caused a growl of exasperation from Devon who dropped herself back in the bed and pulled the covers over her head.
...silence...
The sound of the clock hanging on the wall ticking away the minutes irritated both of them for different reasons. Cameron was mad at the time slipping away, Devon at the sound itself. 'tick. tack. tick. tack. tick-' "UUUGHHHHHH!" Devon shot up again and stormed off to get dressed. Cameron smiled ruefully at her. It was always like that with her. She grabbed her clothes and exited the door to her room towards the hallway to get dressed. Peeking back for a moment she stuck her tongue out at him. "I hate you!" she whined.
Cameron shrugged, glancing at the clock and got up to fix the bed so everything would be ready for them to leave the house and, finally, head to Shibusen.
Until suddenly...
...a blood-curdling scream sliced the Hartman residence's silence. Cameron felt the blood freeze in his veins, now flowing like liquid chill inside of him. A violent shiver ran down his spine and cold sweat formed itself at his temples. 'Devon' the worse occurred to him. Something happened to her. Something happened to her and he wasn't there to stop it. Something ha- At this point he had dropped everything he was doing and was rushing down the hallway to the direction the scream came from. The hallway doubled its length in his mind, seeming endless now, the walls bent in, closing in on him, he was losing the ground under his feet. 'If anything happens to her its your fault. Your fault! YOUR FAULT ONLY!' He reached the bathroom, short of breath, his heart pounding hard in his chest like a wardrum.
"Devon! Are you okay!!?" he yelled flinging the door open with a well-aimed kick.
...only to be assaulted...
by Devon in her underwear who clung to him for dear life, crying and yelling at the same time, things that he couldn't make sense of, until he finally heard and understood the reason in between the verbal chaos.
"C-cockroach!" ...and then Cameron did the only thing he could do, given the circumstances. He laughed and kept on laughing despite Devon pouting and shouting that it wasn't funny at all and that it was a huge roach, a real MONSTER that would have eaten her if he didn't come to save her.
...it wasn't a mocking kind of laughter.
More like... a laugh of pure relief, as if a weight that was crushing him just lifted from his chest...
