The beginning of Barbie's Cradle can be traced to the now defunct band Hungry Young Poets (HYP) that gave us hits like "Torpe" and "Firewoman." After three years of playing together, HYP had to part ways as musicians. Barbie Almalbis and Franklin Benitez moved on to form Barbie?s Cradle together with bassist Rommel dela Cruz to complete the line-up. Under their new name are hit songs from their first album released in 1999 such as "The Dance," "Tabing-ilog," "Goodnyt," and a Hotdog tribute song "Langit Na Naman." Sometime before the recording of their second album, "Music From The Buffet Table," drummer Wendell Garcia took Franklin's seat.

-=KiMiGee=- it looks like fan ka talaga ni barbie and co.... sayang yung band nila... tsk... sad ang alam ko nde nmn sila nadisbanned.Barbie was just pulled to the fact na madaming nagsasabing mag-solo muna siya pero this doesnt mean na nagbreak ung band nila.. rolleyes
