QUIN + SPITSHINE
WEAPON + TECHNICIAN

due to the overwhelming amount of guns, this quest may change at some point. For now, this is a quest for Quin, a Shotgun WEAPON, and Spitshine, usually known as "Spit", a filthy pirate-like TECHNICIAN

Crit, comments, even fanart (and donations, but I'm not hoping) are all very very loved and welcome~

STILL FILLING OUT. Posting and voting is cool now, and you may crit on what I've got so far if you can <3

|likes| Routine, order, being in control of a situation, getting her way, training
|dislikes| Breaking routine, being told what to do, being out of control, being trapped inside, being helpless

|personality| | Unforgiving and very stubborn at the worst of times, Quin is very rigid and set in her ways. She likes to be on time, keep a schedule and a routine, and always be in complete control of any person or place. Her blank, serious, uptight ways always make her come across as mean, when in actuality she never intentionally insults or upsets anyone. While she loves rules and order, she only likes her OWN rules and order, and is completely uncompromising when it comes to other people's rules; even the law. The only time she ever seems to get emotional is when she is proven wrong, being told she is wrong, or she is forced to break her own schedule and become late for something; the rest of the time she is almost robotic, and very very strict on Spit if he's breaking their routine.

While she loves to fight, she gets very frustrated if someone insists on battling her outside of her tight timetable. Certain times of day are set aside for seeking out and participating in fights, and certain times of the day are assigned to finding and completing missions. Her dedication to completing a mission 'on time' is one of her very strongest points, and seems to spur the most determination and strength from her. The less time she decides is left in a battle, the harder she fights.

|history| Though born in Italy, Quin spent almost all of her life in english-speaking countries, moving around very often from place to place with her indecisive and air-headed parents. They were the type of people that didn't like to be in one place for very long, often moving because a place was 'too noisy,' 'too crowded,' 'too unfriendly,' or even 'too big,' and never seemed to look into these sorts of things before they bought their house. On her 18th birthday, Quin simply left, leaving a note that she was off to find herself a Technician at Death City.

She arrived there with very little money and nowhere to stay, but was completely determined to join Shibusen, no matter how many times they should reject her. However, before she even got close to the school's front doors, she got sidetracked with stories of a young hooligan living in Death City. While relaxing in a small coffee shop after her trip, she heard the owner complaining to a customer about the child who was supposedly on a crime spree. Ready to prove herself a worthy addition to the school (not realizing that it really wasn't that hard to get in...) Quin set off on a hunt for this young criminal, determined to bring him to justice on her own.

It was that very night that she found Spit, watching as he attempted to break into a place with very little success. Quin, set on apprehending him, jumped him the moment she realized what he was doing, and attempted to fight him on her own. Both of them were almost ridiculously inept, and ended up tripping themselves up before either had gotten a hit in.

While Quin mourned her loss loudly, Spit claimed that he was already a student at Shibusen. He informed her he'd been there a while, though had never managed to find a weapon who he could get along with, claiming it was their stupidity, of course, not his own. Easily convinced in her moping and disheartened state, Quin shook his hand and agreed to be his weapon from then on. Happy at the time to finally have a Technician, she was soon horrified at every turn; seeing his apartment, leaning of his reputation among the students, and most of all at the many bad habits he slowly revealed to her...

SPIT
||The Technician||
User Image
|name| Spitshine (real name currently undisclosed)
|age| 19
|gender| Male
|height| 155cm
|weight| 52kg

|date of birth| 31st December
|home country| ???

|orientation| Straight
|status| Womanizer
|children| None

|eyes|
|hair|
|skin|
|build|
|face|
|clothes|
|other|

|likes| Causing trouble, being center of attention, being independent, picking fights, making people laugh
|dislikes| Living by other people's rules, being wrong, getting caught, being punished, being ignored

|personality| Opposite, yet very similar to Quin in many ways. He mirrors her level of stubbornness and uncooperative nature, however he only seems to be interested in breaking other people's rules and causing trouble for them. He has no rules of his own for himself, and is perpetually disinterested in Quin's 'timetable', always insisting he's got 'better stuff to do' when she reminds him of the next thing they should be doing that day. He considers himself something of a pirate, and when he's feeling particularly troublemaking and rebellious he may occasionally punctuate his words with pirate-y noises and catchphrases; which annoys Quin to no end.

While he enjoys chaos and inappropriate bouts of obnoxiousness, Spit is not a necessarily bad guy; he really just needs to be put in his place. That's where Quin comes in. She's always the one to inform him that 'looting' is actually stealing, and while she's no fan of the set laws, she herself does not believe in taking other people's possessions. She's always the one holding him back by the collar when he insists on picking a fight with someone tougher then the pair (or, of course, picking a fight outside of the scheduled times) and always the one clamping a firm hand over his mouth when he insists on making unnecessarily revolting comments.

His fighting style is impulsive, erratic and strong, and his stubborn and confident nature makes him unlikely to give up. After all, losing is like being wrong, and failure is even worse

|history| Born and raised in Death City, Spit knows the whole place like the back of his hand. His parents, a not-very-well-known Weapon and Technician team, were both murdered when he was fairly young by the same unknown assailant. His father (the Weapon) when Spit was ten, and his mother (the technician) at twelve, at which point he took to the streets, living off his own wits and skills for two years. His "ways" of attaining food and shelter were soon bought to Shinigami-sama's attention, however, and he was subsequently forced into Shibusen for proper training, and given some form of commission housing.

After some time at the school, it became blatantly obvious that none of the Weapons could barely stand being around him, let alone have a similar wavelength to him. The teachers still insisted that he stay and train, and especially get what little discipline they managed to give him when he acted out, but it seemed nothing they said or did had any impact on him. He continued to make trouble, constantly leaving his small apartment to roam the streets and just plain annoying the hell out of everyone.

At eighteen he seemed to get bolder, and decided to take on proper thievery (or 'looting') as opposed to the small petty crimes he was committing before. This drew attention to him quickly, which he seemed to like, becoming trickier and trickier as time went on. It wasn't long after he started this crime spree, however, that he was attacked by Quin. Both were completely incompetent in fighting, however, and Quin soon broke down into tears at her failure. Seeing his chance, having noticed she was a weapon, Spit offered to be her technician.

TEAM WORK

|Spit| A stubborn, naughty soul.
|Quin| A serious, uncompromising soul.

|Together| At first look, their team seems to work very well; a rigid and uptight Weapon keeping her playful troublemaking Technician in check. But conflict will easily have this team butting heads, and sometimes lead them astray from their missions; the enemy forgotten as they argue relentlessly (neither wanting to be wrong) over the smallest of things. Gradually, with lots of bonding and hard work, the two will learn to accept one another better, and their opposing personalities learn to work as one. This might take a while though, and until then, the two are going to have a very poor reputation among their fellow students.

|Soul Resonance| Quin becomes much larger and bulkier, usually having to be set down on the ground in a canon-type fashion at first. As their bond becomes stronger, she may be able to fire repeated shots, instead of just one blast, with Spit learning to quickly aim her in many directions at high speed.

|Accommodation| Seemingly street-dwellers, to anyone who doesn't know them very well, the two actually have a very small apartment in the city. It's a squashy, one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen/lounge room/dining room combined little thing, and thanks to Spit always seems to be in complete disarray. Clothes and empty fast food boxes strewn about, a never ending stack of unwashed dishes, and the distinct smell of socks. Quin, being very uptight about the whole current living arrangement seems to be in her Weapon form almost all of the time that they're at home (which isn't very often) hiding in the closet and absolutely refusing to clean up Spit's mess. They are very rarely inside the apartment, and due to Quin's disgust at it, they never ever invite people over.

"C'mon!" Spitshine was sitting at the door to his closet, calling to Quin, who had yet again locked herself inside, in weapon form. He crouched beside the small wooden door, leaning against it casually, and smiling a little in playfulness. "I only said I thought I saw a rat! Promise! And you know how I'm always sayin' stuff like that. Qui-i-in~" He pleaded, in the most sincere tone he could manage.

"No!" She responded sharply, "It's bad that it's dirty enough for there to even be the possibility of rats!"

Spit snorted and stood up, rapping his knuckles on the door. "C'mon," He repeated, "If you don't come out of there you're gonna end up all cramped and sore like last time, and get muscle spasms or something!"

"No!" Quin repeated herself as well, "I'd rather my whole body cramp up then be in a place with rats!"

Spit rolled his eyes, and moved to walk away from the door, but paused as a great idea crossed his slimy little mind. A smirk grew on his dirty face, and he crouched down by the door again, knocking on it once more. "Quin. Y'know, to be totally honest, I saw the direction the rat went in." He said slyly, "It ran right into that closet."

Anyone else would've seen through him in an instant, but in her outraged and disgusted state, Quin was open to even simple attacks. As suspected, a shriek issued from the closet not a moment after he'd spoken, and soon Quin came tumbling out, now in human form She desperately raked her fingers over her whole body, as though the imaginary rat had touched her, the shrieking continuing.

Spit choked back a guilty laugh, pressing his hand to his mouth and trying not to give himself away.

Too hysterical to notice, Quin scrambled to her feet, rushing from the bedroom, and into the living room, scurrying up onto the couch and curling up there, quivering all over. Casually, Spit sauntered out after her, still snorting back a nasty chuckle and wiping his nose on the back of his sleeve, (a terrible habit he seemed to have when laughing too much)

"You're too easy," He taunted, flopping down on the couch beside her.

"And you're horrible," She replied, unfurling from her defensive position and shooting him a glare. "Thinking you can trick me like that!"

"You were completely fooled," He retaliated with another sly smirk.

Quin puffed up a little at this, cheeks flushing with embarrassment and annoyance. "I wasn't even close to fooled! I screamed with frustration. I hate it when you can't just leave me alone while I'm in there!"

"Frustration!?" Spit replied, quickly sounding annoyed too. "Please! You were horrified at the thought of a rat being near you! You believed me one hundred percent!"

"Like I'd ever believe you!!"

"You're so gullible, but you never admit it!!"

Back and forth they went, both voices seeming to get louder with every retort and retaliation they had for one another, until eventually they were just throwing insults around and seeing who'd give up first. The argument, like all arguments before it, degenerated into a battle of wills; like animals butting heads. Both refused to be the one to stop screaming first, and both were completely set on 'winning' the argument. Eventually, as with their other arguments, they simply ran out of steam, and slumped into silence. Quin glared and one wall, Spit glared at the other, both had their arms folded and their bottom jaws jutting forward in annoyance.

"...want takeout for dinner?" Spit grunted out, not looking at Quin.

"Fine, sounds good," Quin sneered back, not looking at Spit either.

Within a few minutes, it would be as though nothing happened, when Spit returned with dinner they would have normal conversation and then retreat to bed quietly without another word about who was right and who was wrong.
