ok so did anyone else just love this movie?!! i totally loved it, i thought they did an amazing job making it appeal to everyone.
i also loved the actors they picked. zachary quinto was awesome as spock, he is my favorite!!

Having been raised by a Trekie I thought it was great! Though there times when I thought they tried a little to hard to harken back to the original series, those parts just made me laugh mrgreen

My father (a hardcore trekkie) took me to see the film and we both agreed that it was a pretty good movie. Logically, alternate universe was really the best direction they could go with it because too many fans would have too many complaints otherwise. Not to mention that it gave them some artistic freedom.
