Alright it has been announced that there are Lost planet, Gears of war, And halo movie coming out in the next 2 to 4 years and there is a grand theft auto movie... what are some opinions

I have yet to see a good movie based off a video game. They just aren't done properly...the Prince of Persia movie will be out next year..and I'm hoping that that will break the norm.

I thought that Silent Hill remained true
to the overall feel of the video game
It actually scared me the first time I saw it.

The thing was Advent Children was, it was made by Square Enix and it was sequel to a game with a complex and well defined story. Not like the Mortal Kombat movies.

The reason why Advent Children did so good was because the company that made the game the movie was based on was also the one who made the movie. now if Hollywood did a FF movie, I'm sure it wouldn't be as cool. Out of the list of games being turned to movies listed in the first post, I hop that Halo does good but I'm not counting on it.
