completely. more than it should.
depending on what someone wears alters your intial judgments,
or any judgments, for that matter, until you get to know them.
clothing is tricky.
it means a lot of different things to different people.
to some, it's their way of expressing theirselves and to others it's
just stuff to make them look hot. if you wear a certain type of clothes,
you can go through life smoothly but if you wear a different type, you
can struggle through life and all its judgments and assumptions and
stereotyping. we're humans, we judge, we can't really help it. we've been
taught to judge, and so therefore, it's our nature. sometimes judgments
can really be important, but other times it's our greatest mistake.
but, aside from judgments, clothing impacts how you see yourself.
how you perceive yourself and your opinion of yourself.
it alters our moods and our self-esteem.
clothing also impacts life simply by keeping us warm. who wants
to run around nude in the winter getting frost bite? clothing saves lives by
keeping us warm.
i don't know. i could go on for days, but who wants that?
