Tell Something About Yourself:
I am an artist in the making. Drawing is my life--I draw for the fun and pleasure, not because I have to. I've had an interest and talent for art, drawing in particular, since I was only three or four. Basically, since I could hold a crayon, I've been interested in it. Now I'm a junior in high school and still refining my skills. I'm learning different styles, and looking into digital art more than drawing now, but almost all of my digital art, I've drawn first, scanned it, then edited it. I hope those that look enjoy my art. I am also a writer, roleplayer, and online gamer. Though writing is not my strong point, I am always improving. I incorporate what I have learned about writing into my roleplaying to make the details of my posts more complete. As for the gaming part, I've played just about every free online game you can think of, everything from browser games like RuneScape to newer games such as Shin Megami Tensei Imagine Online and Jade Dynasty Online to advanced roleplay-based games like PlaneShift. I've also been a closed beta tester for a few games, including Draconia Online and zOMG.

I am very friendly as long as I am shown respect and accepted for the way I am. Yes, I consider myself weird sometimes, but weird people make the best of friends, I've found. As long as it's good weird.

Interesting fact: I have always had a fear of pain, preventing me from doing things most kids do, such as sports and riding bikes. I haven't ridden a bike since I was like five. I also absolutely love cats. We own seven, and they're all indoor cats.

THE NURTURER
Shae’s primary way of living is focused internally, where she takes things in through her five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Her secondary approach is external, where she deals with things according to how she feels about them, or how they fit into her personal value system. For example, she does what pleases her rather than what benefits her. Shae’s world is solid and kind. She is warm and kind-hearted toward those she knows well, and wants to see the best in people. She values cooperation people have to offer, and can be sensitive to other’s feelings. However, this is a side rarely ever revealed to those she does not know well.

THE MUTE CHILD
After Shae’s twin brother, Kieran, died of illness when they were six, Shae became mute. She was able to speak and understand language, unlike some may have thought at the first impression, but she simply refused to speak in places outside her home, including school and even at a friend’s home, unless it was absolutely necessary. She was willing to speak at home or to very close friends. This was her only strange behavior. She was not mute because she is shy; in fact, she is very bold and very much in control when she remains silent. It was only because of the trauma of her and her brother’s illness and the death of her brother that caused her to become that way.

She speaks more openly now than she used to, and actually enjoys finding someone she can talk with.

AMAZING MEMORY
Shae has a rich inner world that is not usually apparent to the people she meets, considering how aloof she acts around most. She constantly takes in information about people and things she sees, and can often relay those memories with amazing accuracy. It would not be uncommon for her to remember a particular conversation a year after the event occurred if it made an impression on her. She has been known by most of her first teachers for her ability to take in almost everything she was taught, and for her high IQ, always being one of the best in her class. She hopes to do the same at Hogwarts.

SENSITIVE AND ALOOF
Shae is very aware of her own feelings, though she normally keeps them to herself, as well as aware to the feelings of those around her. She keeps an aloof, distant aura to her, a downfall of hers that goes along with her tendency to build up negative impressions about others that are hard to look past. Just like she hides her emotions, she is not likely to let others know how she feels unless they are close to her. However, she is not afraid to help someone when she feels they really need it.

UNSURE, BUT BOLD
Shae needs positive feedback from others. With lack of positive feedback, or in the face of criticism, she gets discouraged. When this happens, her memories haunt her and she feels everything can go wrong in her life. She can have strong feelings of inadequacy, and can become convinced everything is wrong. However, she can be a warm, kind, and generous person, and even overconfident occasionally, when people learn to understand her emotions.

THE CONVENTIONAL
Again, boldness comes back into play, and, again, this is a side of her personality few get to see. She is proud of her accomplishments, and understands she is above the normal child in her ability to learn and see the logic in things. She sees things the way they are, and understands the way they work. If something is beyond her mental grasp, she will dissect it until she understands it. Once she has established exactly what something is, she is hard to sway, often finding it hard to accept another theory or a change in conditions. She is respectful of the established ideas and prefers the familiar to the unfamiliar. She is also very nostalgic, often longing to return to her first years when she was happy and everything was normal. However, this part of her personality allows her to to be loyal and form long-lasting friendships when people take the time to get to know her, and she is dependable and consistent, despite her disliking of doing work.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

BUILD
Shae is very small for her age. Girls usually grow at a younger age than boys, and the average height for an eleven-year-old girl is between 4'04" and 4'11". However, at the beginning of her first year at Hogwarts, Shae barely reached 4'04". An illness that she suffered from at an earlier age left her with a frail body and a small stature. She weighs only about 61 lbs and has slender arms and legs along with small hands and feet. She has virtually no bust, though she still has a few years to develop one. Despite her slight build, she is very quick on her feet. Just because she is weak physically does not mean she does not have features to make up for it.

HAIR
Shae's hair is an odd color compared to her face. She has the ginger hair that comes from her Irish heritage, against a tanned face. Her hair is fine, but soft, cut short enough to spike in the back, but longer bangs of various lengths frame her face and cover her ears. Streaks of blond and brown highlight the ginger. She normally keeps her hair neat, but she does not worry too much about it. Her hair is kept cut in a shaggy yet stylish fashion.

FACE
Shae has a round, young face with high cheekbones, though they are not prominent, a small nose, and large eyes. Her jaw is firm, but also not a prominent feature, and her lips are thick, but not too full, and a light pink in color. These features give her the appearance of a child much younger than she is, and people tend to misjudge her age, comparing her height as well. She is often asked how she got into the school at such a young age. Her skin is an even golden tan from Arab blood on her father's side. Her ginger bangs frame her face, adding to the round look, and cover her ears. She normally does not wear make-up.

EYES
With some of the oddest eyes one has ever seen, Shae's eyes are large, bright, and intelligent. But the odd thing about them is that her left eye is a honey hazel color while the right is a rich emerald green. Her eyes often give away the emotions she hides otherwise, and often betray her when she wants to hide something. The bi-colored gaze is surrounded by long, luscious, dark eyelashes, and thin ginger eyebrows contrast them. Her twin brother had similar eyes, except his left eye was emerald and his right eye hazel. The hazel comes from their father and the emerald from their mother.

CLOTHES
Modern Muggle clothes that she grew up wearing are what she prefers. A t-shirt and jeans are fine to her, but she enjoys wearing nice clothes as well. She will wear a summer dress when it is warm enough outside or a well-cut shirt to provide plenty of air. During the winter, to stave off the cold she feels much easier than a normal person, she wears plenty of layers along with a fur-lined coat her grandmother gave her. When she has to wear her Wizardry robes, she makes sure they are clean and neat. She prefers the billowing sleeves just for the air they provide. Whatever she wears, though, she always looks clean and neat, and somewhat attractive, despite how young she looks.

PROLOGUE
Shae comes from a rather simple family. Her father, Faolán Aoibheann, was a pure-blood from Ireland born to a pair of blood-traitors, who went to Hogwarts years before Shae was born. Although he was not one of the best, he was still excellent with spellwork and understood magic very well. However, his interest in the way of Muggles led him back to their world and he too became a blood-traitor. Faolán's father was Arabic, giving Shae her tanned appearance.

Shae's mother, Ríona Ciarren, was also a muggleborn child. She never attended Hogwarts, nor did she know much about magic except that it existed.

Faolán and Ríona met in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Her father, then, owned a small antique and book store. Ríona was in search of a job and applied for a cleaning job in Faolán's shop. It didn't take long for them to fall in love. They married, closing the shop to become traveling merchants and traveling to different European countries in search of new antiques to sell.

BIRTH
Shae and her twin brother, Kieran, were born on March 23 in the early hours of the morning. They were born in London during one of their parents' travels. It was obvious from the beginning that Shae was the stronger of the twins. Having the responsibility of two children, Faolán and Ríona returned to Dublin and bought a home.

TODDLER (YEARS ONE TO FIVE)
It did not take long for a strong bond to form between Shae and Kieran. One never went anywhere without the other and they refused to be separated. Kieran, as a toddler had a quiet, reserved personality and he was much shyer than his sister. Shae, on the other hand, was loud and rambunctious, though one would never believe that now. As they grew older, it became more and more apparent that Shae had to encourage her brother to keep going.

The two of them went through preschool and kindergarten together with few other friends. None of the other children seemed to want to be around the sickly Kieran and Shae's personality caused her to develop bitterness against her classmate because of their attitude. She refused to leave her brother alone. Shae left kindergarten with a start at the top and her brother, despite his weakness, was just behind her.

CHILDHOOD (YEARS SIX TO PRESENT)
Shae's life took a major turn the day she and her brother turned six. Shae became extremely frustrated with her brother's whining for the first time that her parents could remember. Every light in the house flickered. Only a few days later, both Shae and Kieran fell very ill, enough to be hospitalized. Over the next year, trips to the hospital as conditions worsened became routine. Just as their parents thought they were beginning to recover, Kieran's health took a sudden drop and he died five days before the twins' seventh birthday. Shae recovered, but, in her grief, stopped talking altogether. She did not understand yet why he had died, and thought it was her fault.

Shae was home schooled over the next few years in her parents' fears that because she was still recovering from her illness and her mutism would cause other children to reject her. They moved from Dublin to London and reopened their antique shop in the capital of England. Faolán wanted to move there with the hopes Shae would be invited to Hogwarts.

About a year after she became mute, Shae began to speak at home again, but she was still silent anywhere else. She would talk, but rarely, and only if she absolutely had to. She is beginning to speak more openly, but it is a slow process that Shae needs an extra push in to overcome it completely.

Soon after Shae's tenth birthday, a man came to their house and spoke with her parents. Her parents told to go to her room, and she did not dare disobey them. A few minutes passed and nothing happened. Then hours passed and still nothing happened. She went downstairs to find her parents gone. Events found her living with her grandmother, Rose, after her parents never reappeared. Half a year passed and Shae received a letter with the Hogwarts emblem printed on it.

It is unknown whether or not her parents are still alive.

OTHER

Patronus:
Being new, Shae has not yet learned the Patronus. However, it would not take her long to learn. Her Patronus will eventually take the appearance of a very large, colorless fox.

Boggart:
Anything representing darkness or Death would be Shae’s boggart. She fears Death much more than any normal person after having those closest to her taken by it. Her boggart continually changes appearance to the most recent thing that reminds her of her fear, and she often has trouble facing it.

Personality:
Caoimhe is very placid. She easily gets along with other people. She is also very playful and enjoys attention. She represents the personality Shae is too distant to show.

Short history:
* Given to Shae as a welcoming present in Diagon Alley by someone who didn’t tell her his name because he said she needed someone to keep her company.
* She arrived at Hogwarts.
* She wanders the castle, looking for company while Shae is busy. She sticks around Shae when Shae feels lonely.

THE PERFECTIONIST
Fay has always had the desire not to be excellent, but perfect, as is the case with many of those who are invited to Hogwarts, and he was placed in Gryffindor like many half-blood. His standards are extremely high, and failure to meet those standards causes great stress. It has worn off some, but he used to believe that he would only be valued if he was perfect. He would experience a sense of pressure coupled with hopelessness and helplessness.

Some perfectionists are born, others are made. Fay was made after suffering blows from Slytherin students his first year at Hogwarts because of his half-blood heritage, so he began trying to prove himself through excellent grades and performance. By adulthood, he drove himself when it came to proving himself, and is known for his energy, ambition, and talent. However, he can get dark and angry when faced with disappointments, though this side of him is rarely seen now.

Fay can be very demanding, especially toward his students, but he wants to make sure they go far in their careers. In exchange, he makes his class as fun as he can. He is a hard worker, staying up well after hours to get things done, or staying a long time after class to help students that need help. In turn, though, he rarely looks to others for help, determined still to prove himself.

THE PARADOX
Though he often fails to realize it, Fay has the ability to make a lasting and positive impression on all those he meets. This is because he is extremely versatile and sensitive to the feelings of others, and likes nothing better than to bring harmony to any situation. Paradoxically, however, underneath his sociable and relatively normal persona he may often be riddled with doubts, insecurities, contradictions, and hidden fears.

Fay is far deeper and complex than anyone, himself included, realizes. This may be due to the fact that he sets very high standards for himself—failure simply isn’t an option for him—but also because professional success tends to take priority in his life over fulfillment. As a result he found himself mixing in with groups of people and working in careers that were wholly unsuitable for him for a while before he returned to Hogwarts, although few noticed his discomfort.

Since he is still young, Fay is still preoccupied with fine-tuning his people skills and carving himself opportunities for career success. He believes as well that professional success is the only option, and for him happiness and fulfillment remain elusive. However, he is beginning to understand his hidden feelings and insecurities are not his enemies but are teachers trying to lead him to a fuller awareness of his potential. Because of this, there is little this determined, driven, multi-talented, and vigorous individual cannot achieve, if he sets his inquisitive and highly creative mind to it.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Because Fay is a Metamorphmagus, he can alter his appearance at will, but he usual form is describable. Standing about 5’10” and weighing about 148 lbs, Fay's usual form is an average sized human. He has a lean, light build with fairly broad shoulders, well muscled legs, and large hands. His face has sharp features including high cheekbones. He has a well shaped nose and mouth, along with a firm jaw. His skin is an even pale tone with a few scars, but none significant.

Fay’s hair is straight and fairly long, though its length varies in different spots, giving it a shaggy but fashionable look. It is dark ginger in color, looking closer to brown than red. In the sunlight, though, it gains a golden red sheen. His hair frames his face well, and partially covers his ears, along with covering his sideburns. He face, though, is normally shaven. His hair is normally kept neat, occasionally spiked a bit, occasionally flat, depending on his mood. His eyes also stick out very well in his features. They are a pale icy blue in color, and are bright and intelligent. They have a tendency to show his emotions though, but he doesn’t particularly mind.

She was in the Ravenclaw house as a student.

The two met at Hogwarts, during a trip to Hogsmeade. His father, then, was a fifth year student and his mother a third year. It didn't take long for them to fall in love. They married after leaving Hogwarts, and lived in Dublin for a while before moving back to London.

Fay was born in the early hours of the morning on September 27th in London. By the time he was a year old, it was obvious he had the traits of a Metamorphmagus.

As an only child, Fay was rather lonely during his first years, but he always seemed to have an interest in watching the sky with his parents. He began to speak early, and by the time he was five, he could read and write fairly well. From there, he started preschool and kindergarten, and left both at the very top.

Once he was old enough, Fay entered kindergarten. He actually got along well with the other children and he understood that they were not like him. He remained fine all the way through elementary school and was actually pretty popular. Once he reached fifth grade though, things took a turn for the worse. He accidentally challenged one of the older boys and found himself in a fight. In his desperation to get away, he discovered his magic for the first time, pushing the boys away. He did not go back to school. After that, his personality also changed and he started looking to prove that he could be good. His parents returned to homeschooling him, but they were unsure what to do.

Then the letter arrived from Hogwarts and he left for the school the next year. Although he was still ten at the time, within a month, he turned eleven. He hated his first year. He had been placed in Gryffidor, and was pestered by members of the Slytherin house because he was not pure blood, but his opinion about the school was changed by the Astronomy teacher at the time. She made him feel welcome, and the class became his favorite.

Nothing particularly significant happened during his years at Hogwarts after that year. He passed all his O.W.Ls his fifth year with flying colors and took as many classes as he could, determined to prove that he was better than the pure blood Slytherins that always bothered him, and often did far surpass them. Astronomy remained his favorite subject and he took it all seven years, all the while honing his magic ability. He passed his N.E.W.Ts with flying colors as well, and left Hogwarts pretty satisfied. Afterward, he returned to the muggle world and went to college to further his studies in Astronomy.

Fay returned to Hogwarts when he was twenty-three, having finished his studies, when he heard that the previous Astronomy teacher had retired, and applied for the position.

The throat has a bold white patch; white mustache and white to tan along the sides of the bill into the eyebrows. The prominent facial disk is bordered at the sides with black. The eyes are honey colored with a thin black border. The backside has fine dark mottling with dark bars on the primaries and tail.

Personality:
Bold and stubborn, this old bird only listens to Fay.

Short history:
* Fay got her at Eeylops Owl Emporium at a year old his first year to Hogwarts.
* Stayed with Fay throughout his years at Hogwarts.
* Is still with Fay today, and has taken residence in one of the upper corners of the Astronomy Tower.
