Catherin Tate because she's just hilarious (Again kinda biased because I love her other stuff)
Speaking of companions my mom mentioned the other day that one of her good old friend's sisters was one of the original companions in the early series run. She still speaks to her, maybe I could see if I could get an interview sometime! That would be awesome.

im not sure if he counts but Malcolm from Planet of the Dead. Hes hilarious and clever. I REALLY hope they bring him back biggrin

Sarah Jane Smith was my favorite from back in the day. She was enthusiastic, stayed with the Doctor from Third to Fourth incarnation, and was definitely a fan favorite. She still kept doing what she did with the Doctor even after he dumped her in Aberdeen.
I also very much like Ace, who was with the Seventh Doctor. She had explosives. Lots and lots of explosives. Plus, she called the Doctor "Professor" and wore a cool jacket.
For modern era, though, Donna was VERY good for the Doctor. She didn't take anything from anyone and let him know when he was being too full of himself instead of just blindly following along.

Lets see: Rose Tyler
I love this character for so many reasons it hard to go into it. She really helped the Doctor after the Time War. Made him feel like he belonged again...PLUS SHE'S BAD WOLF!
Romana II
Romana is an adorable character in her second form. I just loved her to pieces when I was watching the old series.

Donna
BECAUSE SHE KICKS YOUR BUTT FOOL! Yes Donna was an epic character I shall never forget her.

My favorite is Donna shes hillarious! and such a great friend, and my second best is Martha I dunno why I think shes just a wonderfull person very loyal as seen in family of blood.

Rose was great but it was really sad when she left. crying Martha was cool cuz she kinda saved the Doctor in 1 episode.
I luv em all but my real fave is Donna.Shes just hilarious and so is Catherine Tate, who plays her.
I cant wait 2 c what the next companion will b like!!!

I don't know why but I seem to love the guy companions more then the females. I figure it's because I love to slash but my favorites so far have been
Jamie: He wears a kilt and my favorite scene when he accidentally holds the 2nd doctor's hand
Harry: He's so much normal British man and he works hard with the Doctor
Jack: I like him more after Torchwood when he's not chasing after Rose but I gotta admit, he really has some styleXD
Rory: He never seems to question the Doctor and he almost seemed to become the Doctor's friend
I do like Rose and Amy Pond as well but the guys just seem to be my number ones XD.

I would have to say Donna. She took nothing for granted and yet in the end the Doctor had to erase all her adventures with him.(There can't be a Human Time Lord) So sad. Do miss the 10th Doctor. We miss you David crying .

I'd have to agree with everyone else and say Donna was my favorite companion. She was funny, and I loved her <3
Then Amy, then Rose, then Martha.
Which is not to say I don't thoroughly respect Martha, it's just her constant pining was sort of annoying... Plus her fanale was DE GREATEST :3

I liked Martha the best. Dunno why, just did.
Also, I liked Donna a lot. She was funny and sarcastic.
