Is there anyone here that just loves them to pieces?
Now, I get that this is primarily a literature-related guild and so natually I'd assume you all to have a great love of words but OHHH! Sometimes there just isn't anything appropriate to say. You know!! There are instances when a look speaks volumes (it's all in the eyes!).
So.

I LOVE silent films!! Half of the world's greatest actors and actresses were in silent movies. The stories spoken with a gesture,a glance,simple twitches of the face. The art of silence seems to be so lost nowadays.
I really can't pick favourites;I love all the silent films I've ever had the pleasure of watching in their own different ways.
