age Mid to late twenties, no one knows for sure.

appearance While being a former hit man might constitute someone into having an imposing figure and big burly muscles, Pey is hardly the case. Sure he’s really tall, at 180 centimeters he’s towering over the average height for a male. The male doesn’t do any rigorous muscle building, just a 10 mile jog every morning to keep up his endurance and reflex. Pey’s physique is simply toned. He doesn’t have 9 inch diameter biceps like Disney’s Hercules or abs of steel either.
Prior to becoming a chef, the male was mostly seen wearing suits or other formal wear such as slacks and a dress shirt. Very rarely did he wear jeans. Yet with the dawning of his new lifestyle the male has developed quite the affection for these so called jeans. Sure they don’t have the same smoothness as a pair of $500s slacks but he finds them more versatile and comfortable. Not to mention each pair of jeans has it own personality.
Working in front of the fires of a stove, Pey had adapted his shirts as well. His closet was no longer the home to tens of sparkling white starched dress shirts but instead to that of anything from tank tops to t-shirts.
What had once been a pale complexion is now a healthy tan color which contrasts nicely with the male’s silvery white lock, the result of shock and trauma from earlier in his life. With piercing ice blue iris, the male’s eyes are possibly the highlight of his appearance. Possibly due to the color of his eyes or the tragedies that occurred during his life, people comment that Pey has sad eyes, ones that evoke emotions to attempt to cheer up and get close to the male.
Pey is not an exceptionally beautiful or a handsome individual. Instead his appearance gives off an aura of familiarity and ease that one cannot help but approach. He is simply aesthetically pleasing given his fit physique.
personality Pey can be describe as a relaxed person. With an easy demeanor and perfect smile, it’s easy for people to relax around him. Furthermore, with a knack for relieving tension floating around the air, his restaurant almost always has a cozy and welcoming mood. Yet, despite his easy going demeanor, the male tends to be rigid and inflexible when it comes to matters such house chores and grocery shopping.
Pey, unlike most people, doesn’t really have an overwhelming sense of pride. After taking the lives of so many, Pey clearly understands that he isn’t human if he’s able to have pride in himself. He lives and acts humbly as repentance of the hit jobs he’s done in the past. It’s a hard process but he’s happy with this simple lifestyle.
Some things in his past have left him wary and somewhat distant when meeting new people, he might smile but never will he touch that person, even for a handshake. Pey doesn’t go out to large social gathering and if he does, the male usually tries to blend into his surroundings so that no one will notice him. Pey has developed a sort of paranoia about meeting new people, with a good reason to do so. He believes that anyone is a hit man that has the orders to killing him. As an object of solace, he carries around a 9mm Glock G19 handgun.
history Growing up in the slums of California, life was not a joyful thing. Everyday was a fight for survival. One minute you might be the toughest guy on the street and the next you may be lying down on the street never to get up again. In a city where drugs lords were kings and policeman their knights, there was no such thing as law and order.
Pey was orphaned at the age of twelve when both his parents were killed in an accidental confusion regarding a massive transportation of coke. His parents, returning from Spain were asked to pick up a large oriental box from a close friend. Yet, it so happened that during that very same day a large drug lord was having a large supply of cocaine being brought in from Mexico in an identical crate. At baggage claim there was a mix up and his parents ended up with the box containing the drugs. When the mafia came to realize the switch up they immediately pursued his parent’s car. In the belief that they were members of an opposing faction, the mafia had orders to shoot and kill everyone within the car. The crime scene report stated that more than one hundred and fifty bullets were used for the job.
Without relatives and money, Pey was evicted from his apartment and left to die on the streets. It was there he would meet four people who would change the course of his life drastically. Amongst them only one of them would survive until Pey became adult. That person would also ultimately died but at Pey’s own hands and not a rival.
While Pey’s teenage years were a blur they were also an important part of his life. It was during that time he initiated in the notorious Rozen K mafia and eventually came to California’s most dangerous hit man, only to throw it all away for a quiet life as a cook. His story is legendary in the slums.
He is, the only man to leave the RK mafia and survive with his life. Furthermore, to be involved in over 70% of all hit jobs in California, this man was an incarnation of the devil himself. And finally, he’s also known as the man who destroyed a whole syndicate in revenge for killing his wife and mentor. Certainly this man had to be the devil come earth.
Pey is rather secretive about his background. When questioned he answers vaguely. For now he simply works as a chef in a local Italian restaurant.

We’ll be livin’ in their hearts until they die. People like us, Marcellis and I, we kill to protect the ones we love. Son, when you grow up and you shootin’ them guns, you better do it with the intention to protect them folk you love. Not to spill blood for fun. Cause a man who does that it nothing more than an animal. Like a dog or a rat. You not human if you shooting a man with a smile. See this tattoo here son? It’s what them eastern folk call a kirin, it looks fierce don’t it? Well it only punishes the wicked, just like what we’re doing. You and I, we share an affinity with that creature son. We punish the wicked in order to protect the weak; that is the purpose for our existence.”
Why a kirin tattoo? When one spots a kirin, it’s said that one would then experience rui. Rui can roughly be translated into serenity or prosperity. Though for Pey it would be the former.
Furthermore, Pey holds a strong belief in kirins after a serious of unfortunate events that occurred during his life when he was working with the mafia; mainly the dead of his wife Maria and his childhood friend Luka. He first witnessed the image of a kirin when he was a prepubescent scrub living with his mentor. Branded across the chest of his mentor, Pey was given an unforgiveable life lesson by his teacher, hence the quotation.

The tattoo is that of an eastern mythical creature known as a kirin. The tattoo would be on his left shoulder blade. The dimensions of the tattoo would roughly be six inches across and eight inches down. The kirin’s scales would be a yellow almost faint gold color while the mane and fur are a snowy white. Since kirins are often depicted surrounded by flames, the tattoo would have one as well. The flames are blue in color and vary in shades.

The Qilin (Chinese: 麒麟; pinyin: qílín; Wade-Giles: ch'ilin), also spelled Kylin, Kirin, or Kỳ lân (Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese) is a mythical hooved Chinese chimerical creature known throughout various East Asian cultures, and is said to appear in conjunction with the arrival of a sage. It is a good omen that brings rui (Chinese: 瑞; pinyin: ruì; roughly translated as "serenity" or "prosperity"). It is often depicted with what looks like fire all over its body.
Although it looks fearsome, the Qilin only punishes the wicked. It can walk on grass yet not trample the blades and it can also walk on water. Being a peaceful creature, its diet does not include flesh. It takes great care when it walks never to tread on any living thing, and it is said to appear only in areas ruled by a wise and benevolent leader (some say even if this area is only a house). It is normally gentle but can become fierce if a pure person is threatened by a sinner, spouting flames from its mouth and exercising other fearsome powers that vary from story to story.
Some stories state that the Qilin is a sacred pet (or familiar) of the deities. Therefore, in the hierarchy of dances performed by the Chinese (Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, etc.), the Qilin ranks highly; second only to the Dragon and Phoenix who are the highest.
