Hey, let's all share some impressive things we've done in these games! Say, you could've gotten a rare item drop like the ArmyGL in BoF2, or your fairies might have gotten you something in an expedition. I started a Low-Level Game in 3, but stopped it once I left for BMT and haven't picked it back up yet. One way to do a LLG challenge in BoF3 is to keep your average levels down as low as possible (i.e. only get EXP from boss fights, steal/run from others) so you can later get as many levels with the best masters as possible. It's also to make the game much harder, which encourages better strategy/planning. Even with all the planning, the bosses are still really strong and it can take a lot of luck to win. I got as far as clearing the Hall of Champions. For the Null Magic Hall, Nina had to be the sole survivor! Ryu and Momo were both Lv11, and Nina went from 6 to 9. It wasn't easy to do, even though you can make one of the Golems attack the other with Influence, and though they will attack only each other once Emitai's KO'd. You have to keep track of both Golems' HP and arrange it so with Nina being the only one alive, one Golem kills the other and then Nina kills the first with her physical attack. The main problems are that it's random whether they'll go before her even with all her speed gear, and even with her best gear there's a chance they can OHKO her. If you don't kill the second one, you have to hope you'll go first or survive their next attack x_x; Anyway, I took pictures with my cell phone: ...Whoa sweet, a Golden Trunk just appeared after I posted this. Go BoF! razz

That seems like a fun way to play the game, and give it replay value. I've never heard of doing that before. I'ma have to try that out.
I dunno about accomplishments; the first time I played through BoF3, I was a lot younger and it was an accomplishment for me to even beat the game.

Well, I will say that it takes patience that most kids won't have, haha. You have to do a lot of fishing for money/equipment, like getting 3 Silver Knives before McNeal's Manor for the ghosts. It also helps to be good at the game already X)

I was lucky to get through it the first time; shortly after I beat it, my brother stole my copy and sold/traded it to a friend of his. :[
I finally got a hold of ePSXe and a BoF3 iso and I've been playing through it again.

It is a lot less frustrating if you have save states, haha. It took me maybe 6 tries to get through Null Magic Hall in that challenge, and I had to sit through the dialog and Emitai's "tear-jerker" each time.
Now that I think about it, I think I had actually stopped right before the volcano. The fight against Scylla and Charybdis is supposedly one of the hardest fights in the challenge.

Oh, I hate that. That's why I love ePSXe, because you can save whenever by using the emulator. You can save right after a long dialogue or a video, and you don't have to sit through it again and again.

Gah, just talking about this again is reminding me that I have the game with me again! Now I want to play it... but I should really get some sleep.

You should play it. ;] Sleep's for pansies. Just kidding.
Does it count as an accomplishment that I over-level?

Over-level? As in training to an extreme?
Sadly I can't say I've made any worthwhile achievements...

supa_bekka Does it count as an accomplishment that I over-level? Haha, I suppose if you trained the right stats it'd be impressive... =) There are a few enemies you can steal the stat-up items from too: Life Shards from Ice Toads or Titan Goo, Magic Shards from Reapers (Relay Point A), Proteins from Vulcans, or Swallow Eyes dropped from Rippers. Apparently you can also get Proteins at the end of the game. I should probably get better at Super Combo before I continue that LLG, though. In the meantime, I probably still have to amass the suggested 30k zenny (by selling Silver Daggers) for buying weapons after Mt. Zublo.

I haven't done anything extremely cool as of yet... Unless you count beating and replaying BOF2 over 50 times...

Haha, I can imagine...
Oh, and Silver Daggers Knives (oops) are bought from a Manillo near McNeil village. You can catch Manillos with the Coin bait from Road to Mt. Glaus, and they'll sell you items in exchange for fish. For 2 Rainbow Trouts and Trouts, you can get that knife that's 12 power/1 weight and holy property. You can get a lot of good equipment early from Manillos.
Also you can steal Loincloths from the Boss Goblins lol
