Did anyone notice this double standard?

How a guy can date around and sleep with a bunch of women and he's called a "player" and other guys say "way to go man!" and pat him on the back, but when a girl dates around and sleeps with a bunch of men she's called a dirty slut and nobody respects her?

i've also noticed that a girl who's kind of rude and insulting in a joking
way is called a bxtch, but when a guy acts liek that, they're just being
a guy. this annoys me, because i'm being called a bxtch when all i do
is joke around, and really, i'm a completely friendly person.

but it can't be helped.
it is the way it is.
it shouldn't be liek that, but it is.
so it's best not to waste time dwelling over it,
unless you have this great idea to convince everyone
to change their ways.

I've definitely noticed it, not only in the way react to sexual experiences but also in the work force. It seems like in order to get ahead in the corporate world women need to be more aggressive than their male counterparts just to prove themselves. I think this double standard is changing, though it seems like it is doing so really slowly. I think it helps that people are talking about it, not just in forums like this but colleges and universities too. The more we talk about it the more likely it is to change. I think it also helps when women are confident enough to realize that the only opinion they have to worry about is their own.

I second this. So true.
