Reviews & Tutorials

This subforum is one of the main reasons I've wanted this guild for a long time. It has helpful information for near about everyone, whether you're trying to figure out where to but a kigurumi or how to make one.

There's a sticky for help with making a kigurumi, another for help purchasing kigurumi, and many regular threads featuring reviews for websites selling kigurumi and those that for courier/shopping services as well.

Here, detail is good. So if you're posting a tip on sewing a tail onto a kigu or letting everybody know how your order with Euro Gal went, be sure to give us a bit more than bare minimum. It's for the good of the kigummunity, after all, and you wouldn't want to let us down, would you, comrade? C:

Rules & Guidelines for Reviews

I know, I know: I've already made all the threads you wanted to make yourself into multi-topicked stickies, and there seem to be rules for everything. Haha- sorry! I just want everything to be super easy for everyone. sweatdrop

In any case below're the rules and such for the subforum:

1.) Reviews go in the review thread for the specified store/service and nowhere else. That is, don't make a whole new thread for your review. Each thread should stand alone as something a potential customer can look at for a better feel of a store or company's service. :]

2.) While we're on the topic, only reviews and questions pertaining to the store/shop should go in these threads. If, though, you have a technical question about, say, how to go about buying from somewhere, that can either be posted in its own thread, or as a thread of its own.

3.) If you had to use a courier/shopping service to get your kigurumi, then you'd likely be better off reviewing that instead of the store the kigu came from, since, for the most part, you didn't deal with the store. In all likelihood, you dealt with the shopping/courier service primarily.

Although, a review for each wouldn't be a bad idea. Ones just more likely to be lengthier than the other.

4.) When you're writing your review, be sure to try and include the following aspects: time frame, communication, and price.

The first two are easy- time frame simply means let us know how long the process(es) took: a day for the order to go through, two for the invoice, a week for it to ship to you, 12 days overall, etc.

Communication would be how quickly the store got back to you, how well they answered questions, etc. Customer service is a big part of it, or vice versa...

Price, I'd say, is necessary. Yes, society says that telling people how much something costs is 'tacky', but in this case, it's more helpful improper. The total price is what we're after, but the more specific, the better. (Price of the kigu itself, service fee, shipping expense, etc.) And including your country would also be helpful. 3nodding

Still, if you're not comfortable sharing the price, that's alright as well. No grudges shall be held--promise. heart

I wish you luck with acquiring a kigurumi, whether by needle and thread, or by way of the web and Paypal. Hopefully, this subforum's of some help.
