What is your opinion on books that are turned into movies and whats your favorite?
i really liked the way they did the lord of the rings trilogy. i think it actually did the books justice and the books are great!

The movies never equal up to the book, because my imagination is always so much BETTER than Holleywood!!! Eragon was the worst.

I would have to agree that, even though I know it takes different approachs to make a movie exciting than it does a book, the movies never measure up to the books simply because nothing beats a limitless imagination (and your imagination will always meet your expectations). This doesn't neccesarily make them all bad though.
hmmm my favorite?.............Pride and Prejudice! yes though the book was definitely better the movie did it justice enough and still made my toes wiggle ( pleasing things make my toes wiggle, literally lol).

My favourite movies based on books are the three Lord of the Rings.
Apparently Studio Ghibli has made a movie based on Ursala Le Guin's Earthsea series. I can't wait for it to come out.

The only ones I have encountered where the book and the movie equally enchanted me are 'Howls Moving Castle' and the latest remake of 'Alice in Wonderland'. though it was more of a sequal than a remake.
but i must agree, most remakes of books into movies never to the book justice.
