This magical bookstore sells almost everything you would ever want or need. School books and other books for other purposes line the two-story building's walls. The smell of paper is almost overwhelming. A display case in the front window usually displays the newest best-selling magic books.

There was an odd sort of noise coming from the backside of one of the bookshelves. Somewhat like laughter but very deep and almost inhuman, it was the kind of thing that you didn't venture towards unless you had a weapon. So, William didn't take any offense when the shop owner came around the corner with his wand out. The shop owner looked slightly relieved that it was Human, but was more disturbed by the pile of books it was holding. Nearly forty books were stacked neatly and balanced in two columns.
"Can I help you sir?" The shopkeep asked solemnly as the giant walking rug turned about for him to see his features. William was still pretty young looking, his scars were faded but still evident. Wearing his classic furry overcoat and hat he looked much like a walking carpet. Combine that with his stature and you might mistake him for a magical beast.
"Ah, yez! I amz looking forz these books. Do you knowz if they are in here?" Williams broken english showed the shop keeper that he wasn't dealing with a native to the area.
"Yes, but these last three you have to have approval from the Ministry to purchase. It's mainly for the Aurors and Dark artifacts teams." As soon as he finished William was able to produce a second note that was issued by the Department of Aurors. The man was utterly baffled by this oddity that had entered his shop.
"Well I'll get these right away for you sir, can I ask what you do for a living if you need all this?" The shop keep spoke as they walked towards the front, the mountain of books balanced precariously in front of his body. William set the books on the counter as the man ventured into the restricted shelves.
"Well, I used to work for the governments. Lots of them actually, I am a very unique individual in the sense that I like to tangle with dark forces daily. It has earned me a reputation as a specialist in charmed and cursed items to a degree with no equal. I've spent the last two years in Romania tracking down a chicken coop that someone bewitched, it was pumping out basilisk eggs by the dozens. I was able to get that ordeal flattened out before the start of the new term, I'm now a teacher here in england at the Hogwarts school of withcraft and wizardry."
"How very interesting, so I'm guessing these books are just a bit of light reading to you. Well let's see that will be....57 galleons and 8 sickles."
William pulled out the coins and set them on the counter, then he started placing the books inside his jacket where they began to disappear. His jacket didn't seem to be getting heavier either so she knew he must of done some kind of expansion charm on the pockets. When their was only one book left he took a seat over by the window and started reading, it was quite a while until he could catch the train into Hogwarts.

Remi Reverne
"Zox, Where are we going?" The little boy said in confusion, as the goblin stopped pulling him. "This is a magical bookstore. And we'll get your school books here." The goblin said very dully. Remi looked in the window.. "Wow..... EEP!" Remi jumped back as one of the books started to eat the others. "I dont Want that book, even if it's on my list....." Remi said terrified, as he stayed behind the goblin as he looked around the store, not to help the fact he was so very curious about the area; let alone the wizardry world itself. "Maybe we should get something to eat later, ZOx, I'm starving!" Remi rubbed his belly and grinned, as he stared at the bookshelves and other things around...... including another person in the area.... This worried Remi, still confused, but he was really curious why he was there.... To Remi he almost looked like a puff-ball in his fur jacket. "Remi, get over here..... you got to pay for your supplies." Zox; his escort goblin told him as he grabbed his arm and pulled Remi to the counter. "Erm... Sir, Could I have these books, please?" Remi passed over his book supply list for school.Hogwarts The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 1) by Miranda Goshawk A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot Magical Theory by Adalbert Waffling A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection Remi looked at the clerk, as he chuckled. "You must be a first year, huh?" He went to get the books that Remi had needed, as Remi looked confused. "I geuss you could say that..." Remi said as he would of considered himself more of a freshman instead.... Stupid muggle world and their confusing muggle words. As the clerk came back, and wanted the correct amount of galleons. "Oh, here..... I hope this covers it..." Remi said nervously as he placed 100 galleons on the table.... causing the clerk's jaw to drop. " You can keep the change if you want.." Remi said, also very unsure of the money system in the wizard world. "Come on, I cant rip off a little kid now." The clerk patted Remi's head, as He looked dull. " I am not little, thank you very much." Remi hated any term that reminded him of being short, for it quite bothered him when people done so. Remi looked back at the goblin, whom seemed asleep on the chair, with a daily prophet in his arms. Great.... He's asleep....What am I suppose to do now? Remi crept up on the goblin, and poked him on the nose. "Zox?" Remi sweatdropped, as the goblin snored.

"You gotta Jump Jump!" Hikaru walked into the store, carrying a bag full of ingredients secured in individual containers, so there was no smell coming from them. Hikaru walked upto the shop clerk and said "Can I have the books required for 5th Year Hogwarts Students. As well as 'Resonant Crimson: The Truths of Blood Magic by Rei Akatokiyami'?". The store clerk went to get everything Hikaru asked for, and he quickly paid for it, although he had mainly bought the book written by his father to extend his knowledge about Blood Magic. As the son of a Blood Mage, Hikaru tended to want to learn about Blood Magic. Hikaru noticed Remi and Zox, and walked over to them, asking "Is everything alright?", as he was carrying the bag of ingredients he had bought from the apothecary and the bag of books. They didn't weigh him down really, they felt light even though in reality they were heavy.
Hikaru was wearing his normal casual clothing, which consisted of a long sleeved white shirt with black jeans and grey shoes, although he was wearing a crescent moon pendant around his neck. "That is what the base is for"

Remi Reverne
Remi jumped not realizing there was a person behind him. "YES! Ev-everything it fine!" Remi said as he almost cartoon-like clung to the wall behind him, and a few books fell on his head. "Ow...." Remi shook his head and rubbed it. "My mom's colleague was escorting me around Daigon alley since I havent been around here before.... and I cant leave my place because he fell asleep on the chair..." Remi said, even though his head was throbbing, he acted more bubbly than expected, as he put the books back up in the shelve. "Wake up Zox....." Remi said annoyed as he poked the goblin's nose, as it rolled over in the chair. "I'll never finish this supply run..." Remi said as he look like he was going to fall over.

"You gotta Jump Jump!" Hikaru sighed, and then pulled out his wand and poked the goblin a few times with it, not too hard but with enough force to probably wake him up. "Iie, shōjiki itte, dono yō ni suru koto ga deki masu shoten de kono surīpu no yō ni goburin'node, heiwa-teki ni?" Hikaru said to himself, speaking in Japanese. His native language, since he was born in Japan, but he had moved to Scotland recently ((Little bit of trivia, Hogwarts is located in Scotland)) about a year before he entered Hogwarts. Hikaru sighed and mumbled "Hope I don't get in trouble for this". Hikaru then uttered the words "Muffliato", using it for a few seconds on Zox to force the goblin to wake up. Hikaru looked back at Remi and said "Best not tell anyone that I used a spell here. Until you graduate, you aren't technically allowed to use magic outside of school. But you can at Hogwarts though".
Hikaru then turned around and was surprised, running over to a shelf with a bit of surprise "Wow, after around 62 or more years since the book was published... and there is a brand new copy right here. Never expected to find the Omnibus of both the Belgariad and the Mallorean". Hikaru got it off the shelf and quickly went to bought it. It was a damned good book, with really good story. "Follow Your Heart" XXXXX1st YearXXXXXA girl with rosy brown hair had walked into the store. She looked dizzy and confused, maybe even tired. The girl had a paper in her hand, constantly looking from the note to the store. She suddenly stopped looking dizzy. A boy, a goblin, an older boy, and lots of wizards and witches. But the boys and the goblins stood out the most. They had the most commotion in the room. The girl blinked, simply looking at the boy's books. It seemed as if it was his first year. Luckily, it was hers as well. The girl looked at Remi and asked, "Ah, so these are the books we need?"HufflepuffXXXXX "Embrace Your Dreams"

"You gotta Jump Jump!" Hikaru sighed and looked at his watch, noticing the time. "Might as well try and find Anya...", Hikaru said to himself muttering, before his form shifted and he disappeared as well as the bags he was carrying, and in his place there was a White Lion. So cool, it would probably be the thought of the first years, as the lion bounded out of the shop, running down the street at a high speed. "That is what the base is for"

Katashi walked into the bookstore. he ignored everything that was going on in the store.luckily for him, the library he stayed at and this store were on good terms and lady Imogene, the head librarian, had already convinced the clerk to add his books as a bonus deal for the latest shipment of books to the library. he walked up to the counter and handed the clerk a letter from lady Imogene and the school book list. the man nodded to him and got him his books from an area in the back. katashi thanked him and put the books into a side pocket of his magic bag. he wished the man a good day and walked out of the store. pocketing a few advanced potions book, and a book of spells that was supposed to be restricted to ministry personnel and aurers only when no one seemed to be looking. |exit madam malkin's|

Remi Reverne
Remi jumped backwards when The boy turned into a lion. "Wha the heck?" Remi yelped as Zox the goblin; had explained he was an animagius. "Oh....." Remi mumbled, and pulled up the goblin.... Remi was barely a head taller than the small fellow, but that didnt bother him. " The next place we are going to is Olivander's wand shop." The goblin sighed, as he tried to pull on the boy out the door... But Remi was staying put and looking at the taller girl. "Urm... Your a first year too? If that so it's a yes!" Remi grinned looking very bubbly, and picking up the pile of books.... the pile was so high it hidden its face. "REMI! get over here... we dont have all day; and I need to go back to gringnotts by 1:00pm!" The goblin shouted, causing Remi to jump and yelp. "Well, I better get going.... See you at school then!" Remi smiled and ran off after the goblin.... Whom was starting to irritate him.

"Follow Your Heart" XXXXX1st YearXXXXXKyril watched the boy leave, only remembering him by his smile. The girl blinked and shrugged. Luckily she had memorized the books that Remi had taken. Before taking the books, Kyril stuck a chocolate pocky in her mouth. She then grabbed the books and placed it on the counter. The clerk held out his hand and Kyril simply placed galleons in his hand. He had thanked Kyril and the girl had done the same. She ran out the door, looking at a list that she needed to get.HufflepuffXXXXX "Embrace Your Dreams"

[-entrance from Quality Quidditch Supplies] Dustine shoved open the store's door, barely missing a 3rd year in the head. She hated coming to Diagon Alley right before term started. There were far to many people around for her comfort. Still since she was here, she might as well check to see if they had any books that would interest her. Dustine's school books had been purchased and delivered within a week of her receiving her letter so this was simply going to be extra reading. Clutching her new broom protectively to her chest, Dustine made her way to one of the bookcases that lined the walls and ran her fingers over the spines of the books as she checked the titles.
Finding one that contained the history of some of the greatest Auror battles, Dustine tugged it down and glanced around the store for somewhere to sit down. As soon as the book was in her hands, Dustine was hit with a strong sense of unhappiness and worry. Sighing, Dustine stroked her free hand along the back of her large black cat where it perched on her shoulder. I know you dont like my career choice Aunt K, but this is my life. At least I'm not going into this with my eyes closed. Dustine wasnt telepathic but she knew that her aunt would have no problems picking the thoughts out of her mind. Dustine's lips twitched with a suppressed smile as she felt the long tail thump her in the back of the head. Finally spotting an empty chair near the window, Dustine pushed her way through the crowd until she reached her desired spot. Flopping into an overstuffed chair, she sighed before she realized that she had sat directly across from her new Head of House. Always one to make a good first impression, and hopefully gave favor with this professor the way she had done with all the others, Dustine forced up a wide smile. She might as well be polite, since one never knew when a good recommendation would be needed.
"Hello Professor. I didnt see you there." Dustine stuck out her hand. "I'm Dustine Alistair, head girl. What brings you around Diagon Alley this time of year??"

William's mind was completely drawn into the book he was reading, not a single other thought or process was moving in his mind. So it was a bit of a startle when someone called him proffesor, he looked up surprised to find a young woman explaining herself and asking a question. William pndered for a moment most likely making her feel uneasy in the silence then he spoke in a quick fashion, "I'm not dressed in any particular fashion, but I do stand out here. I have no identifying markers, except my usual assortment. We have not met before, at least in this lifetime. Well then it most be the book!" William laughed lightly, but his deep voice made it sound like a far off thunderstorm. Setting down the book, Hogwart's a History, he smiled briefly before removing his hat to be polite.
"Quite right you are, very observant there. Rare skill, those of us who have it can often be put at odds so it is best to keep it in check unless you would like one of these." William pointed to the scar on his right cheek. "Professor William Chevalier at your disposal, and which house might you be in my dear? Hopefully mine if you are this intelligent, I'm here to take over for the previous Professor Maelor I believe. Head of Slytherin and Charms professor. As to my being here, I only just got in to england so I'm trying to collect the necessities before attempting to locate that dreadful train." William's peculiar accent left some of his words mispronounced and shorter ones sounding like flat grunts.
"My question for you is what is up with this peculiar animal masquerading as a cat, her presence is much more defined than a cat, possibly a kneazle. No wrong fur for a kneazle, too neat and no differential colorations. Well it could always be one of those dreadful things from Romania, no not even possible it's illegal to import those. It could always be possessed, yes that is a possibility. If she is a head girl she is a seventh year, it could be an enemy she transfigured. Not likely, it sits loyally not bound by magic. It could be like you, yes that is a possibility. I apologize it is not my place to pry, but my curiosity is my defining trait. Is this animal by any chance possessed? I could see it's not normal with my eye." William indicated that his eyes were two different colors and that in some way the brown one might be special, if she focused closely she could see the iris and pupil rotating in separate directions like a lens of some kind.

Dustine kicked herself mentally. She should have known better than to address her new head of house by his title when she hadnt even been introduced to him. This now placed her in the slightly uncomfortable position of having to explain herself.
"Well sir, I do try to be as observant as possible since I am sure that is an invaluable skill to a good Auror. However I recognized you as a professor because I will attending your classes this year and I make it a point of knowing all my teachers. Or at least I like to be able to pick them out of a crowd so to speak."
Dustine relaxed back in the chair as she pulled out yet another piece of gum to add to the wad that had lost most of it's flavor. She needed a smoke so badly. "I am in your house sir. I've been a prefect there for the last 2 years and as I said, I was given the honor of being Head Girl this year. I am also the captain and keeper of our Quidditch team." Dustine waved her hand in the direction of her new and still wrapped broom where it was propped against her chair. "That is a gift from my aunt for my 17th birthday. I believe it will come in handy this year in securing the Quidditch cup for our house."
While she had been talking, K, Dustine's cat, had taken up a spot on her knee. Almost automatically Dustine's hand moved to slowly stroke over the fur on the cat's back. However at William's mention of the strangeness of her animal, Dustine's hand stilled in mid stroke. Her free hand dropped to the wand at her side defensively as her lovely eyes narrowed suspiciously. When she finally spoke, her voice left no doubt that a change in subject would be much preferred.
"My cat isnt possessed. She isnt illegal nor have I done anything to her. She has her secrets and it is neither my place or desire to divulge them. As fair warning Professor, I should let you know that my cat is extremely intelligent so please dont under estimate her." Dustine realized that she might be acting a touch overprotective, but she knew everything that her aunt had sacrificed for her. Keeping her secret about really being a human was the least that Dustine could do. Assuming that since William had brought it up first he wouldnt mind questions about his eye, Dustine leaned forward a little to attempt to get a closer look. "While I cant say I wish to lose an eye, it would seem that something like that would come in rather handy in my chosen profession. Can you see through walls and such as well?"

"To pick me out of a crowd you must have done your research, I haven't been in england in almost six years. At eleven years old I doubt you were reading the Daily Prophet cover to cover, and what I was doing at that time was more page 3 material. Remedial and boring work, but I got an order of merlin out of it. I guess I shouldn't complain. Or should I? It wasn't my fault that I couldn't salvage that item so why did I deserve to get knocked down to second- I apologize, I have an overactive mind and it tends to drift at times. So an Auror you say, it won't be easy in my class this year. My newt students will be learning very difficult material, no sneak peaks but a hint for you is that my specialty is magical artifacts and charms make up the greatest portion of happenings in this department." William was a very spirited man when it came to his conversations, he was half French so naturally he loved to talk. He was also half Russian so he loved to talk loud.
"Quidditch Captain, Head Girl, and it's your birthday. I would say a severe amount of congratulations is in order. Let's see here." William reached into his coat and opened one side of it revealing dozens of pockets roughly the size of his hand, they were in neat rows and appeared to fill the inside of the jacket from side to side and top to bottom. William reached his hand down into one and pulled out an odd black goblet that was filled to the brim with fresh tea. With a flick of his wand two cups appeared and he poured the tea from the goblet into the cups and then set the goblet down next to him. The goblet surprisingly was still full ad still bubbling like it was fresh. He flicked his wand once more and the cup soared smoothly over to Dustine to land next to her on the arm of the chair. "Cheers!"
"Oh that is fine my dear, you don't have to explain anything. Personally I like putting the puzzles together without help anyway. As for your warning I have already received it from her, you can see it in her eyes. I have a warning for her though, 'Never get caught under a Gorilla's feet. They're dreadfully accurate at squashing what they never knew was there.' " William started laughing again in his deep thunderous roll after his comment about gorilla's, it was a bit cryptic. Although in time she would most likely unwind it, right now she probably just thought he was mad in the head.
"Oh no, this eye isn't quite like that. Although if I had ever figured out how to make one of those while still in my teens I might have traded an eye for it in a heartbeat. This one is much more mundane so to speak, I can see magical presence around things and people. Take your pretty kitty here for instance, there is a medium shade of blue hanging about her. Anything magical gives off a shade of blue, the more potent it is the darker the blue. This cat is pretty potent, where as you a little bit lighter. That man over there buying the potions book is a squib, the woman behind the counter is an average witch, while the student in the back corner who is most likely a fourth year will go on to follow in the footsteps of individuals like you. It gives me a quick way to judge people and things all around me, I have to turn it off when I get near Hogwarts though, everything turns black there is so much magical potency. Very useful if you deal with magical artifacts that are generally buried and hidden among thousands of normal ones, or if a Dark wizard runs into a crowd of muggles to hide."
