How are we to know? And don't say, "I know there is one because I'm in it." The only reason people say there is one is because it has a name. Take a name away from it and it ceases to exist. If it has no name, people wouldn't know about it and no one could know if it exists. They would think there's no such thing because it wouldn't even cross their minds. Think about it.

True, however just because something doesn't have a name does not mean it doesn't exist, it just means that it hasn't been named / discovered yet. Think of every so often when a scientist identifies a new plant species or animal. It has always existed but no one has ever really known of it. But even though they didn't know it was there that didn't make it nonexistent.

You don't need a label -- it exists because we created Hell -- just because a new disease doesn't have a name, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It is a psycho-geographical location that has many routes -- the most common road being called Good Intentions. We define it as an unhappy place of punishment -- where selfish, humorless, untrustworthy, and wicked people are blinded by darkness and they are in a hole, going in circles and they can't get out because their own personal lead drags them down and they can't let go because they think they are right and that the lead that is poisoning them is doing them good...

I agree in a way. My belief: If you believe there is a hell, it exists. If you don't, it doesn't. I feel the same with heaven though.

there will always be a "Hell" as long as there are humans even if it only exitsts in our minds. if it wasn't called Hell/Hel/Diyu/Tartarus/Xibalba/Jahanam/Avici it would be called something else.
Hell is part of human nature.

I don't believe in it.
I have a friend who claims to have been there though. He says I'd probably like it there. I think he's insane.

I think it's a matter of faith, if you have faith or believe that you have a soul than you believe there is an afterlife. If you believe there is an afterlife than more than likely you believe that there is a good afterlife and a bad afterlife; no matter the names given to those afterlives. Unless of course you believe in reincarnation in which case there is only a good afterlife but one must go through many lives in order to be worthy of the good afterlife. The names given change and vary by culture but not the ideas.

I think there is one, but what Hell is seperation from Life and everything that makes it worth living. I also think that Jesus provides the way to Heaven and gives new Life. He doesn't destroy all evil, because that would take away everyone's chance to choose Him and Life. And I know because my mom saw it (yes, in a vision. If you think she's crazy for that, then let me just point out that people have had visions [some about the spiritual world] since our race appeared. Only one of those people who had a vision about God would have to be correct in order for Him to exist.). She's just about the sanest person I know.
