*Sir Michael John Gambon, CBE (born 19 October 1940) is an Olivier Award- and BAFTA Award-winning Irish-born British actor who has worked in theatre, television, and film. He is currently noted as the second actor to play the role of Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series of films, succeeding Richard Harris in the role.
