Username: ..s.k.i.t.t.l.e.s.. Character Name: Undecided, I have a few ideas in mind, but am not ready to give those ideas a name, just yet. But I promise I will have one VERY soon! Position Wanted: Transfiguration Professor RP Example: I gave two just so you can see that I am consistent with my writing.
Sample One:
Hell had been immoderately silent for the past month, if time had a measure at all in the depths of despair and unreason. The inhabitants had lost all track of the concept of time when it had forthwith occurred to them all that humanity had shown a lack of death, which was stripping these dark dungeons of hate and chaos of their former livelihood. The great door way carved in stone and blood had been left to rot, a forgotten pathway from the light to the dark, and one would merely have to walk through to find this decrepit city. The creatures of shadow had grown restless, burdened with the heavy weight of boredom, to say the least.
The doorway to hell itself had been quiet for days, Demonia found herself lying beside it, her head propped up on its entrance, and still, nothing had come. Not even an earth creature so minuscule, like a grasshopper; of whom would grace her presence with a soft hum of its violin like tune, and then be set free, back to it’s place of belonging. Demonia had a reputation to hold as the mother of the entire underworld, but she did avoid destroying the lives of creatures’ smaller than she. The main suburbanites that called this atramentous castle home, gathered each day in the streets looking to the vacant whole from this world to the next with a longing no mortal man would ever understand.
For years, mortals had feared that which called itself a, “demon,” though they were clearly nothing more than a mere image of humanity. Over the years living underneath their mortiferous brothers had proven fatal. The poisons and toxins that man had made themselves seeped into their caver ness home and killed off many of their fellow comrades. Perhaps that it was humanity that should take a long, hard look at themselves before pointing fingers in who is more sinister than who. The Darellites, as Demonia had fostered them, were nothing more than strange creatures damned to this darkened place by man, and chained here by God himself. There was no more evil in this place then there was on every syllable an angel spoke in Heaven.
Demonia stood in the threshold of her castle, an aphotic edifice built by the Darellites to her honor. They have constructed statues in her name, immortalized as their one and true God. Though at first it had only flattered her, to say the least, now, she accepted such praise by returning the love for her fellow comrades. She was their matriarch, their savoir, who brought them solace in the long nights of suffering as humanity reeks it’s unavoidable wrath upon the foundation of earth. And that, is where her wandering mind lingered, for there were forces at work, attempting to assassinate her, in a rendition of, “holy war.” How stupid they were to think that after all these years of slumbering in silence, building herself a grand army of Darellites that could crush an entire existence of angels off the face of this existence? But that could not be helped. Both sides knew the dangers of starting a war on the deadened face of earth, existence would cease to comply, and only the void that once filled this place would rule over right and reason.
Black lace and velvet grasped loosely at the pale skin that Demonia had come to know and love. Her bosom was covered by a lovely blood-red bodice, the silk ribbon flowing all the way to the floor. Black velvet dresses along with petticoat, parted wide in the front revealed her lace stockings and black heels. So she was the Goddess of the Underworld, what reason was there to be modest? Her reasoning’s for modesty died the day her heart shattered, along with many other attributes that had once been what dictated her thoughts and actions. But no longer…
“Your Majesty? You have been messaged by the Metatron. He has left this in your wake, M’lady.” The Darellite messenger had been standing at the entrance to her thrown room for quite some time, most probably awaiting a good time to open his mouth and ask for her attention. Her thoughts were clouded with the images of her former life. ‘Haphestus, look what you have reduced me too…’ Her heart, or what was left of it’s uncultured voice, whispered into her head, which was having a hard time ignoring.
“Oh. Has he now? Then we must not keep him waiting for our immediate reply..” Demonia stood, her long dress trailing behind her as she made her jovial way to her servant, who handed the scroll to her with a deep bow. Demonia smiled gracefully at him, and opened, so they both could see the words therein:
Dearest Demonia, Fake Goddess of Darkness…
It began, and Demonia and her servant snickered together like two school students reading over a love note. “It continues…”
We, in heaven, are most appalled that you have even decided that a war fought through the eyes of man was appropriate for thy situation. We must gather our heads and our dignity and meet one another face to face, and discuss what has been done and start arrangements immediately, pending that thou will step down as Lady of Shadows, and repent for thy sins. You MUST avoid contact with the humans you seek; they are nothing but fragments of a dieing race and shall fill your thoughts with ideas of redemption. For this, is beyond your control should you decide to continue this foolish nonsense. You have a fortnight to reply. We await your reply with heavenly desire.
Sincerely, Metatron, Angel of Discord
The two of them stared at one another, and then back down at the letter before them, laughing as hard as they could muster. “Foolish?” Demonia managed through her sheer amusement. With that, she cleared her throat, took hold of the letter, and tore it to shreds. Her eyes were blood-shot, no longer white on either side of those crimson irises. Demonia turned her body towards the door, and staggered out, anger filling her every vein.
“I will show them. I will show them all!” She screamed.
“Your Majesty? Tell me what it is and I shall have it done.” Her servant yelled as he chased after her.
“I will show them all just how foolish the Goddess of the Underworld can be. They will pay… they will pay in blood and sorrow. But most of all, they will suffer! Every Angel in Heaven shall burn with fire and brimstone, and I will have Void’s heart in the palm of my hand… I can assure you of that…” Demonia had made her way to her bedroom, and slammed the door. She needed to calm down.
“Haphestus, may God have mercy on your immortal soul…” She whispered, as she sat upon her bed, her head lowered into her hands.
Sample Two:
The buzzer of the 80's style alarm clock boomed like thunder through the small two bedroom apartment. Four thirty, the green lights flashed over and over again; the clear plastic casing that protected the colorful insides buzzing as the bell chimed repeatedly until a tired, pale halted its screaming. Euthalia raised her head from the downy soft pillow and squinted her eyes at the now freeze framed time stamp. This wasn't the first time in her history where she would be up at such an ungodly hour and it probably wont be the last. This particular woman had been rising before the sun since before she could remember. Back as far as her memory would allow her, her father would wake around six every morning and begin his tyrannical rampage through the house, still coming down from his drunken binge from the night before. Too scared to stand eye to eye with that demon, she would be up at this time quietly getting ready as if walking in a room full of sleeping wolves, and sneak her way out of the house towards school; sitting on the swings alone for several hours before the school bell rang. Sometimes she was able to bring a blanket and pass back out on the playground's tunnel slide where it was semi warm, and get the hours of sleep she had lost. Those days were long behind her, but habits died hard, at least that was how the saying always goes.
Rising from the safety of her bed, Euthalia threw on her sports bra, running shorts and a light sweater and met her tennis shoes at the door. The sun still had yet to make a grand appearance over the horizon as her hands tied the shoes to her feet, body and all exiting the apartment and onto the safety of the sidewalk. There were cars buzzing by, even at this early in the morning, rushing to their busy lives, never once stopping to enjoy the beauty of the twilight hours, just before the morning rise. That was the world these days, not the ones she had known where children played in the streets and people drove to each others house if they wanted to speak to one another; instead of text messaging and cell phones. Euthalia had a phone herself, but it was not her more prominent form of communications, it was for emergencies only. Like if Luther needed her for some reason, or the Church was in a series bind. Blue eyes watched the speeding cars for a brief few minutes and began her morning jog. Five miles, including from and to her house, was her daily routine, resting only on Sunday when she would rise at six, a much slower day than most for her. However, she wasn't the only one awake at this time, the mail main, George, was always an early bird, and as if right on schedule after turning the corner there he was.
"Good morning Miss o' Cathain." George spoke witha cheery tone, as he loaded her neighbor's mail box with their daily mail. His dark raven hair and dark eyes made it unpleasurable for him in the summer, which is how their small friendship began. Euthalia had offered him a cold bottle of water and actually purchased him a special hat that protected his neck and head from the sun's rays, and after fifteen years, he had not stopped this route where most mail carriers changed their routes just for the sake of new scenery.
"Morning George! How are the wife and kids? I heard from Molly, Hector is graduating Harvard this year?" She offered him a warm smile, patting him on the shoulders sweetly.
"Oh, yes, it's quite a scary thing. I have a child that has graduated college. And a Law student?" George blushed slightly as she handed him a blue envelope she retrieved from her hydration pack. "What's this?" He asked.
"Give it to Hector for me? I would mail it but Molly said he is moving back home. Tell him I said congratulations if I don't seem at church before the big day will you?" Euthalia traveled a little further down the side walk, and turned almost forgetting what she had wanted to tell him in the first place. "Oh, tell Molly that she can bring some of her delicious pies, I know she will be doing it regardless. I'll see you later today!" And she hurried off, waving as she did. George yelled his own farewells and Euthalia was lost in her running trance. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays were usually her harder training days, and the rest focused on light cardio with ankle and wrist weights. Even at her age, she did want to keep in shape in hopes that her older years would not take their toll on her body. Not that she was afraid of getting old, she just didn't want to hurt every second of the day if she could help it.
At six A.M on the dot, Euthalia returned to the entrance of her apartment, sweat beads pouring down the sides of her forehead's brim, her shirt now soaked on both sides. She set her hydration pack down on the counter and flipped on the radio, a summery tune alighting the darkened apartment, the window shades were thrown open, the true start of her day. After showering and dressing herself comfortably in a pair of capri slacks with ballerina sandals, coupled with a pale violet top, Euthalia stared at her reflection in the mirror, contemplating worrying about the condition of her hair and realized that that was futile. Before even half the day was through it would be flatter than what the first sentient humans thought the Earth had been. A pony tail sufficed for the time being and the job she had to do, meet the owner of the gathering hall and get it opened and ready for the preparations of the day. Euthalia had warned Luther not to worry about such a small matter, that she would be up at the hour regardless, and with no littler argument, he obliged. There was little he could deny her, that much was true.
Living on the other side of town was not always the easiest thing especially when the traffic was as bad as it was in some parts. Euthalia sat bumper to bumper, only difference between her and the rest of the honking vehicles, she had left a great deal earlier than was needed in order to assume th that this would happen on her way. Expecting the worst had it's perks... The Ford she drove was kept rather clean under the circumstance that it was an older model, parking it a few blocks away to give others a closer parking space, since she did not have a mass amount of things to carry with her. Just a giant binder full of information about the Church, pamphlets, flyers, receipts, a small Church fund in case that someone needed to rush out and get something that had been forgotten and a few other odds and ends. She was of course a teacher and head of the choir, she still handled most of the paper work that was tedious and easy once you got the hang of it. Kept Luther from going out of his mind, so it was worth it. With the meeting hall now propped open wide and the keys in her hand, she waited patiently for the others, already having started to unfold chairs and tables on her lonesome. Of course, when everyone started to arrive, her body moved straight to the office to make sure that everything was going smoothly, sitting next to the phone and answering phone calls that started the instant she walked in. "No. I am sorry, I wouldn't suggest live stock. That is not allowed." One phone call had ended while another began. Her hands shuffling through pages upon pages of checklists, ensuring they had this or that to who ever was asking on the other end of the phone.
Who knew that answering phones would be so much work! Euthalia wiped the sweat from her forehead, and walked out of the office once the ringing had finally stopped and the sounds of voices boomed from the main chamber. Euthalia made her way into the belly and stared at all of the people therein, instantly surrounded by church members that had been waiting to see her since they arrived. It may have been an exaggeration, but if felt as though she had give a thousand hugs, but the feeling was wonderful. Luther was spotted in the crowd, sewing and talking with a group of ladies which included sweet Penelope of their Church. He was in check, resting of course, so her worry calmed just slightly. Beside her, a certain gentleman had caught her eyes, sitting at the table where many young faces sat eager beside him, crafting away at their responsibilities. Euthalia smiled at him, and took a seat nonchalantly at the end of the table. " I see you all are busy having fun here, anything I can do to help?" Though it was directed at them all, the woman cast her eyes to Micheal and nodded in his direction. " I trust all is well on this end?"

Username: keishi_rin Character Name: Tario Lynzka (Not created yet) Position Wanted: Herbology RP Example:
"Ok Class! Move along to Greenhouse three please!" Tario smiled and clapped to her second year class. "Were pruning the Shrivelfig today before the harvest of them. Now watch me first to learn to harvest it." Tario said logically as she snipped off some shriveled stalks off the small plant. "Now, Can anyone tell me what Shrivelfigs are used for?" Tario tapped her foot, while a Ravenclaw student raised her hand. "Yes, Madár?" Tario smiled as she finished with the pruning, and the class began to mimic her actions.
"Um... Isnt a shrivelfig used for Shrinking Solution and Elixir to Induce Euphoria?" The second year asked politely, as a Hufflepuff student was itching in his seat to say what the potions do... But that wouldn't help much; for this was herbology, not potions class. Tario smiled at Madár's answer. "Exactly that! Good job Madár. I'm not sure how the house points work yet, but at least I can make sure you dont have homework tonight!" Tario turned to the rest of the class. "Now, on page 45 on your One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi Book shall have 4 questions, please do them, for you'll have a quiz tomorrow. Madár, you will not write the quiz, for it's about the homework. You'll be able to finish up other class homework during that time." Tario clapped her hands. "Now! to that pruning!" Tario laughed as she got to work and looked at what her student done at the time.

I will approve it if you promise me you will try to improve your role playing. The main problems I'm seeing here are:
1. You need to start a new paragraph each time a different person speaks.
2. Focus on details, not just dialogue.
For the second one, I will be putting up a guide some time soon to help improve it. I believe you would find it useful. ^^

Username: AriaofRevelations Character Name: Alexia Renais DeLorain Position Wanted: Anciant runes RP Example: (Must be at least 200 words)
The class filed in gradually over the short passing period between classes. It was her first day, and Alexia wished to make a good first impression. She had a number of demonstrations prepared that showed what the power of runes could do, even if some of the students thought " it was a bunch of old stuff in dead languages" as she had heard when she was a student. The clock on her desk chimed, and she knew that even with her nerves, it was time to begin.
When the alarm on the clock went off, the glyphs she had inscribed into the chairs were activated by its sound, teleporting the students into other seats according to the meanings of the symbols she had used. A second set of glyphs activated, preventing the students from getting up or doing any subtle seat trading they might do during the lesson. "as you have noticed you have been moved, and you will not be able to move again until the end of the class. A wise eye would have seen that there were markings in the chair, but all but one ravenclaw student seems to have sat in the chairs anyways. That is, by the way, ten points for ravenclaw on that shrewd decision. You may now be seated where you wish. This time the runes will not activate. There will always be runes on the chairs. And I will no longer have anyone standing after my alarm sounds. If you wish to sit by your friends or away from your enemies, you must simply know where the runes will send you before hand. This will only happen if you pay attention.
Though mostly old and recently less used, there are languages from are past, whose writing systems have innate magical qualities when drawn with certain objects or inks or when drawn by certain people. Some languages could even be used by muggles, if they were trained to. These symbols can often be more powerful or useful than a spell with a seemingly equivalent effect. Certain spells and barriers fade over time, or can be undone with another clever spell. A well written set of runes will stand the test of time, and can be better suited to specific situations.I will now show you some examples, if you keep this class all the way through your graduation you will know enough to do some of them, but true mastery of the runic languages takes years." Alexia walked to the ravenclaw's desk from earlier. She took a rectangular sheet of parchment from her sleeve and dropped it in front of the student. It froze in mid air, and a vibrant cerulean flame lit in the upper left corner of the parchment. Thousands of blue beams of light shot from the paper and wrapped around the boy's body. The beams all passed through one ear and out the other, intersecting somewhere presumably in the middle. The beams, after passing through him, then flew back to the parchment. As this was happening, the flame on the parchment passed from the left corner to the right, burning a thin strip of the material, then the flame moved lower and burned right to left, blackening a strip of equal size. The flame continued this pattern all the way to the bottom, and as soon as the last of the blue beams went back to the paper, the paper had finished becoming completely burned by the flame. Upon closer examinations the black was the color of the ink that was used to write the symbol, and the symbol was whitened to the color of the original parchment. The paper was still structurally sound and had not been weakened by the flames.
"I want you to cast a spell you know" Alexia said to the student. "you are a third year, so I assume you know a few. Point at anywhere, even at me, and give it your best shot." she watched with an evil grin as the student stood and tried to cast an exploding spell at a wall….but nothing happened. "as you can all see. This student currently cannot use any magic. That…" she paused for dramatic effect, "is because all of his magic, is in here." she pointed to the piece of parchment. She handed the student the strip of parchment. "now rip the paper, and cast a basic levitation spell on the cup." The student ripped the paper in half. Both halves burst into huge blue flames that appeared to consume the student, turning his entire desk into a column of cerulean flame that shortened and shrunk into his head. Nothing was burned or in any way harmed but the parchment, which was now a pile of ash. The student, still surprised, managed to stutter out "wingardium leviosa" and the cup followed his pointing wand into the air as was normal
"how do you feel" Alexia asked her student. More to assure her students she wasn't abusing them than any real concern. She had done this particular act many, many times. "when the paper first sent those lights through me…it made me feel very…cold. And everything seemed less…less….like …er…less real." the student decided. "but then when it was ripped I was filled with this sudden exhilarating feeling, like I was a god." the student recounted, slowly gaining his composure now that the feeling of powerlessness was over.
"this runic charm requires a knowledge that I cannot, and will not teach you this year, or in your remaining three years. Be aware that it exists, as you may come across it when being examined by aurors for your crimes," she glanced at the slytherins, "or by enimies you have made in you rashness," she glanced at gryffendors. "or maybe, you'll be lucky and never see it again. The point is, from now on, know what might happen when you unwittingly sit down in strangely carved chairs. Thank you, that's it for todays demonstrations. I will now go over classroom rules."
(etc.)
