Communism is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general.
We all have seen how it worked when Stalin and how now it is doing with China. Many people are against Communism and it is understandable from the way things have turned out. In theory it is a very good idea but without the right leader it seems to be very violent. My question is have you thought of a way that Communism could work without being to violent or oppressive to people rights and feelings?

Communism is a great idea... but the majority of people are closed minded and will not except it... but rather than focusing on cons, I found the pros... correct me if I'm wrong...
1. education is aproved
2. as is heath-care
3. no crime
4. no need of money
5. pride to the working class! they are the true heros
and last but not least comrade is Russian for friend... and communism is a world where everybody calls each other friend...

Yes you seemed to have hit the nail on the head. How ever. The cons do out-weight the pros if Communism is put into faze by the wrong people. Correct me if I'M wrong but during the begin of Communism with Stalin things were going rather well until the Cold War set in and with people more confused on war their were less to see to it that Communism ran smoothly.

As for the cons...well...if the right people aren't in power then it because the whole "every one is sequel but some are more equal then others" propaganda.

Hi, i would like to make a comment on some of the earlier stated ideas. Earlier it was stated that communism eliminates crimes, thats a common misconception. Because the laws are more strict in most communist eras and places, its like a rebeliouse child, the more he/she is punished, the more out of control they get. I support communism entirely but it is a vry delicate way of life, it must be lead with great precaution and must be lead by someone experianced. Someone who is a good leader (as said earlier).

True, and yet I suppose there is nothing we can do about crime... yet with a strict military police crime is controlled to an extent, and if you think its unfair, think of all the criminals running around...

when people hear the word communism they instantly think "the cold war", or "North Korea", communism isnt about building nuclear weapons and threatening non-communist nations into fearing you or conqering capitalist nations
america didnt have to enter vietnam or koream, we lost vietnam so really that proves (in a way) you cant stop communism from spreading and you cant completely "destroy" communism
I think obama would be a pretty good communist dictator, i mean seriusly would rather elect someone like george bush (-_-) or make someone like obama a dictator ?
communism eliminates crimes, makes batter health care (something obama is currently trying to do) and would probably save this econemy
communism in china may be a little violent at times but EVERTHING (or at least almost everything) is made in china, by communist workers who are the backbone of a communist nation

in the Philippines...
the NPA (New People's Army) gives communism a bad name...
I hate 'em because of their bad reputation...
they terrorize people here...
they even cut off the heads of the innocent...
but that doesn't stop me from having faith in communism...
I support Communism!
I just want them to give communism a good name...
HOW I WISH I CAN SHOUT THIS OUT:
REBELLION AGAINST THE CORRUPT!!!
but I can't...
my father is a local soldier...
he'll kill me like hell if I did...
but good thing he doesn't know that I'm a rebel...

In my opinion, communism would not survive without fear and violence. Stalin did well in following Marxism because of the terror he built into the system.
If you consider the leaders after Stalin, because there was no longer terror, dissidents started to appear and criticise the system and so the communist regime started to go downhill.
I can't think of a way for communism to work without violence. It might work better in a place that was very well developed, because the Soviet at the time was rather... backwards compared to the west. Unfortunately, humans are filled with greed, so there will always be opposition to communist ideals.
