Taking a break from the ruckus and chaos of the division? Here in the gardens, with two cherry blossom trees, a fire tree, countless oak trees, and rose bushes, you can wander, relax, even hang out with other shinigami to get your mind off of the work awaiting you at the barracks. In addition to the vegetation, there's also a pond below one of the cherry blossom trees, where koi, other fish, and even ducks call home. Be sure to avoid damaging any of the plants or animals; littering is forbidden in this place. We don't want to ruin such a peaceful place, do we?

"Admiring the view, Akino?" Haseo put his hands over his wife's eyes, tilting her head gently so that she looked up at him. Smiling handsomely, he kissed her on the forehead, before wrapping his arms around her neck, resting his chin at the top of her head. He breathed in deeply, taking in the various smells of the garden.

"I'm sorry I haven't been around lately... the division's been extremely busy with you gone; the male members aren't as motivated to work as hard anymore," he apologized softly, closing his eyes. His thumb absently rubbed the ring around his finger, his lips forming a small grin at the action. He remembered how beautiful the day was, as well as the devastation upon the faces of a few of his fangirls (which provided him with a tinge of humor to keep him going for the day). Opening his eyes, he glanced down at the woman he embraced, the woman who looked so beautiful on that fateful day. He laughed softly into her hair, staring at the cherry blossom tree before them.

"Did I miss anything major...?" he asked, blinking absently. He scooped down so that he sat behind her, making sure that she could lean on him comfortably. "Perhaps..." he started, his hands patting her stomach with the gentlest of touches, "... any news of any possible children I may father?" His tone was joking, his touches as gentle as possible with her, as if he was afraid she might break if he were to hold her more firmly. He laughed, resting his head on her shoulder. "Probably not today either, huh? Maybe it'll turn out that you were tomorrow..."

Haseo laughed softly, bowing his head slightly when she ran her fingers through his hair. His cheeks reddened slightly when she whispered into his ear, a reaction that he didn't seem to lose even after they got married. His hands moved over her's, his expression turning to worried, then confused as he nuzzled his cheek against her's.

"That doesn't sound good..." he mumbled, "Was it something you ate? You've been eating right... hopefully, it's not food poisoning..." He pursed his lip, one of his hands going up to her forehead to check her temperature. "I'll go with you there; I've got a day off today."

Blinking almost as cluelessly as his sister, he gave Akino a bewildered look at her last comment. He cocked a brow, resting his hand back on her's. "Excited that you might have a virus...?" he laughed softly, nuzzling his nose into her neck. "My wife is strange... very strange..."

Haseo laughed, tracing her cheek delicately with feathery grazes from his fingers. He closed one eye, muttering a playful "ow" when she patted his cheek. "Watch the face, Akino... you might bruise me," he joked, taking her hand and intertwining his fingers with hers. He nodded his understanding at her explanation about her diet, closing his eyes when she ruffled his hair childishly. "... the hair, too. You might accidentally rip some out without knowing it. You've been restraining yourself for too long; I don't want to be around when you accidentally let it out."

All joking aside, he pursed his lip, absently playing with her short locks. "Hm, if it's not the food... and it's not a fever, I wonder what it is..." Hearing her protest, he looked at her curiously, leaning sub-consciously closer to her when she mentioned that it may be a sign for something else. He frowned, hoping that she wouldn't say that it was a sign of something bad, which he was expecting.

"Oka-san said...?" he repeated in a whisper, repeatedly hoping that it was nothing bad. When she finally whispered what it may be, he found himself speechless, sub-consciously holding his breath like he did when he proposed to her. He gasped, finally remembering to breathe, and coughed, his cheeks flustering slightly. After a long moment, he chuckled lightly, until it turned into a brighter, more happier laugh.

"Pregnant...!" he repeated, still laughing, "Pregnant...! You might be pregnant! How could I not realize that...!!" He kept laughing at himself, hugging Akino tightly to him. "This is great...! Well, if you really are, it is... if you are, then it'll be our first child...! I'll be a father!" he exclaimed, clearly ecstatic by the news.

I am Hikaru Koushun ~ The Crimson-Eyed Shinigami

From a tree a short distance from the ecstatic couple, a young woman sat, twirling her raven black hair around her finger. Her crimson eyes glistened with happy tears, her lips forming a proud smile. Sniffling, she wiped the tears from her eyes, shifting her position so she sat more comfortably on the tree branch she occupied.

"I'm gonna be an auntie...!!" she exclaimed quietly to herself, throwing her arms into the air excitedly. "Ah...! Uh oh..." Losing her balance, the shinigami found herself falling back. Swinging her arms to try to gain momentum, she only achieved the opposite; she found herself falling off of the branch instead of staying on it. Letting out a girlish squeal, she couldn't find anything to grab onto, and found herself falling to the ground.
