Hey everyone, there's a new Castlevania game coming out: Castlevania Lords of Shadow. It looks significantly different to the other installments in the series...and some famous voice acting too...check out the vid on youtube

So...any opinions/expectations of this new game?

It looks so promising! I can't wait for it to come out. blaugh
I also heard that it's a bit different from the older games so I'm expecting great things. Patrick Stewart is supposed to be in it. I hope they still have Dracula and a Belmont as the main characters.

Am I still welcome in this guild? I know I've changed my avatar but can I still contribute to Castlevania discussions? If so then I'd like to add that this new game perplexes me from what I've seen so far. eek

I know, at first I was slightly confused by the new direction, what with Metal Gear Solid's Hideo Kojima working on this one. All the same, I agree with DM, I hope there's Belmonts and Dracula in it, otherwise it really wouldn't be a Castlevania title.

Well I'm sure that he will do a great job with it too! That's probably why the graphics look so great. He does really good work. But I also heard that they won't be using the regular artist. sad

I know, that's what makes me apprehensive about it. Change isn't always a good thing, I mean look at Judgement, that got mixed reactions...mostly negative from the long-standing Castlevania fan-base.

He's the maker of Metal Gear solid...if I'm not mistaken.
That's true...It's probably becuase they changed the design of the characters SO much that you couldn't really tell who they were.

Yeah, I had a hard time figuring out who Grant, Sypha and Trevor were supposed to be when I first saw them. That and I originally mistook Aeon for some warped version of Soma lol not hard to do though!

Shanoa looked really weird, as did Grant and Sypha. The artwork for the new game does look good, doesn't it? that and the action in the gameplay vid looked fun.

I really do need to find that mini comic. I didn't do it myself but it's really hilarious. I think that you'll really enjoy it Soma.
It really does. It looks like they have some different layouts and places to go as well. Funny how I just got that from a preview.
