Fu (Foo) Lions, lions of Buddha, or sometimes stone lions (石獅, Pinyin: Shíshī) in Chinese art, are a common representation of the lion in pre-modern China, which is believed to have powerful mythic protective powers that has traditionally stood in front of Chinese Imperial palaces, temples, emperors' tombs, government offices, and the homes of government officials and the wealthy from the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD), until the end of the empire in 1911.
Lions of Fo are always created in pairs, with the male playing with a ball and the female with a cub. They occur in many types of Chinese pottery and in Western imitations.
Pairs of Chinese guardian lions, also called Chinese stone lions are still common decorative and symbolic elements at the entrances to restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and other structures, with one sitting on each side of the entrance, in China and in other places around the world where the Chinese people have immigrated and settled, especially in local Chinatowns.

|hair| Black, cut into a very simple and easily manageable style that Casey rarely does anything to. It is at that typical-looking point, right between short and medium length.
|skin| Slightly pale, though not enough to look sick or vampiric. It just says 'I don't get out in the sun much.'
|build| Average, like everything else about him. No muscles, no extra weight, not too thin, not too broad. Just plain old in between.
|face| A fairly rounded chin, small flat nose, high cheekbones and pouty lips. He doesn't pay much attention to his looks, however he could definitely be called attractive.
|clothes| Lots of grey. Almost any shade of grey, from charcoal right through to almost-white. Casey says it reflects his love of storms. His friends say it reflects his inability to co-ordinate any other color.
|other| Casey has the terrible habit of wearing old fashioned pilot's goggles as a fashion accessory. While others will claim it makes him look almost painfully nerdy, he says it makes him look cool.

|personality| Aside from his very apparent nerd-ish ways, Casey has a very difficult personality to pin down. He seems to change with his environment, especially when the weather changes. (He likes to claim that the weather changes with his mood, though, and not the other way around.) While he loves storms, he always seems to become grumpy and easily irritable when it's raining, or even overcast, moping around and hiding away in his MMO's to pwn some n00bs. When the weather is nice, especially when it's breezy and cool, he becomes friendlier, easier to get along with, and has a more positive attitude. The only exception to the weather rule is if his long term girlfriend is around. He becomes rather shy, quiet and very helpful around her.
He has a tendency to faint, and is easily startled by embarrassing situations. He has also been known to be very good with kids, and they often develop hero-crushes on him if they are allowed to hang around him too often. Generally, he is just a shy, socially awkward softy.

|appearance| Though a little shorter then average, she makes up for it with her unforgettable dress sense. Her trademark faded blue hair cut to shoulder-length, a small array of facial piercings and a tattoo of a cherry on her left arm top off her rather zany appearance.
|personality| Despite many failed love interests, and a childhood riddled with abuse, she maintains a level headed, bright and generally happy persona. She loves to help out whenever and wherever she can, and generally does a really good job at fixing most people's problems.

|relation to Casey| The two met at a sci-fi convention, which she was forced to attend alone after a sudden and difficult divorce. He's been living with her and her two children ever since.
