((Alright...first plot twist is under way thanks to Nutz! *cuts guild ribbon* woot!))
Night. The rays of the full moon rained upon Xavren as its shadows casted a mysterious appearance. Silence filled the halls as both riders and dragons alike were taken captive by the binding state of deep sleep.
Down the main hallway, adjacent to the Candidates room, a muffled sound breaks the tranquility of the Weyr. Shadows shroud his appearance but as he skulks past an open window a faint glimpse can be see.
Too young to be a rider, the boy couldn't be a Weyrling neither. He was, in fact, a candidate. His hair was black as a moonless night and was quite jagged like the burly brush located just on the outskirts of Xavren. With skin toned with a hearty bronze and eyes of emerald green glazed with a solemn brown, such a boy was easy to descern as only one Candidate. Tenathan.
Why he was sneaking out so late was a mystery he wished to keep from the ears of others for, in short, he had a task to complete.
Slowly, deaftly, he padded down the corridor with a smal wher-hide pouch attached to his side with contents unknown. As the glows from the Dining Room and Kitchen came into view he yeilded just by its entrance and immersed himself within the shadows.
He could wait. He would wait for when the others were to arrive and, hopefully, this time they wouldn't be foiled. As his hazle eyes scanned through the shadows of the night Tenathan mumbled, "They better get here."

((Yippie!! This is going to be a good RP.))
Eldawen sighed heavily as she struggled to get comfortable in her bed. Sleeping was becoming a harder task each night, and the lack of sleep was beginning to take its toll. Nothing she tried to do to help her sleep seemed to work.
Sighing, Eldawen gave up and got out of bed. As she got up, her blonde hair fell down her back. Her hair wasn't a uniform blonde color, in fact is was comprised of many shades of blonde, starting at the top as dirty blonde and then fading to a light gold as it got to the end. Her gray-green eyes looked around the darkened room, resting briefly on her two flits, sleeping quietly on her bed.
Suddenly, a soft, brassy voice came ringing into Eldawen's head. Are you having trouble sleeping again, mine? her golden queen, Sanrith, asked.
Yes, love. I am sorry if I woke you. Eldawen replied. She hated it when she bothered her lovely queen. Sanrith was really worried about her lately, and Eldawen couldn't blame her. Eldawen had been out of sorts for weeks now, but the healer had said that there was nothing physically wrong with her.
Don't be sorry, mine. I wasn't asleep anyways.
Alright. Eldawen replied, making her way to her queen's weyr. Once she got in there, she went to Sanrith's head and scratched her eye ridge. We have to find out what's keeping me up soon, or I fear I will end up sick. she mused, looking out into the night.

Gillabart walked slowly up the steep path that lead to a secret way into the Weyr. He walked slowly so that he would make no more noise than he had to. He silently thanked whatever made it so that it was a new moon tonight. That the plans were right. It was supposed to be done on a new moon, but sometimes things didn't work out. Like how Masters had died and the Brat had gotten away. Had any of the moons been out, one would still be hard pressed to see Gillabart. He was dressed in a tunic and breeches that had been dyed black, his boots where made of black leather. His skin was deep brown, almost black, and his hair was curled into black springs. His eyes were the only thing you could see, the deep chocolate color of them, rimmed in white. His teeth, if he had smiled you would know what I mean, were so white compared to the rest of him, that it scared people in the night. He was small, but strong, wiry muscles covering his body.
As his foot got caught by a large rock, he fell forward and only barely caught himself. He swore, cursing the narrow path and the need for secrecy. He pushed himself up and saw he was only feet from his destination. As he stood, he noticed that if he hadn't fallen, he wouldn't have seen the entrence, hidden as it was by the large outcroping of rocks. He made his way over there and hunkered down. Glad he was the smaller of the two, he squeezed his way under the rocks and unexpectedly dropped down into an unlit passage. Wah? So now which way do I go? he thought, as he looked around the passage. Noticing that one end was lighter than the other, he started in that direction.
Now the need for quiet was even more important, with the evil dragonriders in every hole they could find. He walked on for about half an hour, before coming to a crossroads. He looked straight ahead and seeing nothing turned to look down the left side of the crossing passage. He saw nothing and turned to the right. There he saw the back of a young boy's head and his back. Sneaking up on him, he wasn't sure if this was the right kid, having never met him. Better to be cautious than dead. He wrapped his arm around the kid's neck and pulled back. Not hard or tight enough to kill him, but enough to scare him. "So, why are you up so late?" he growled softly into the kid's ear.

((I got board, so sue me))
Lyr rolled over in her sleep, brushing the edge of wakefulness. She pulled her cover closer and and moved her head. It lay on a golden suede surface that warmed her like not hide really could. "Mumn," she moaned, her dreams troubled.
Lyr, you okay. Your dreams woke me up. Want to talk about it?
Lyr turnd over, slowly opening her eyes. Smiling as she sees the gold glimering in the Glowlight. I'm just worried. What I love you Ran, but...I don't know, What if the Weyrleader dosen't like me? Or Faranth forbid, what if the Weyrwoman dosn't like me?? What will I do? Will she demand that I...I...leave?? Wh-
Silly. You will be a good junior weyrwoman, and you know it. Now stop this nonsence and get back to sleep. I'm tired. You kept me up too late, with your exploring.
Yes ma. I will ma. Sorry ma. Goodnight ma. Lyr said as she closed her eyes, smiling.
Ha. Ha.
~ * ~ * ~ * ~
Zane just barely controled a shout as he felt the wind fly by his face, and the ground approched faster. Just before he was about to crash, Zalith snaped his wings out and pulled up from the dive. The were about half a mile from the Weyr, and neather of them had been able to sleep.
Zane was someone who prowled the night. He always asked for the night watch, flew way past midnight regularly(sp?) and barely ever slept (when the moon was in the sky). If he had his way, Zane would compleatly be a creature of the night. sleping in the day, awake at night, but alas it couldn't be. He was needed during the day as well. He had drills to go over, plans to make, and a duty as the Wingesecond. So he limited himself to being up only two hours passed the midnight hour, lest he sleep durring the mettings.
As Zalith climbed high in the sky, Zane looked at the sky. He sighed, it was a perfict night to fly. It was a new moon, darkness, complete and total darkness. Flying only be instinct, by your gut, not your eyes. Using all the senses you don't normally depend upon.
Zane had a few perticulars about him, one being he hated being helpless. He took every oppertunity to strengthen everything he could. He didn't like leaving things to chance. He also couldn't stand small spaces, which is why Zalith dosn't go between as often as other dragons do. But most of all, he liked to play tricks on people, usualy harmless tricks, but tricks none the less.
Come, Zalith, she should head back. I have something I want to do. He said as he patted Zalith's hide. The bronze truned on a wingtip, and headed int he direction of the Weyr.
Zalith dropped Zane off in the Weyr Bowl and headed up to his own weyr. Zane walked over to the edge of the Bowl that the cook kept the hens, and took one. Being carfull and quiet, he kept the beak of the hen closed and whent into the weyr. Turning at the staircase that was near the entrance, he walked up the long flights of stairs to the Weyrwomen's rooms. As he had come in, he had seen El's light had been on. He treaded softly, glad he knew how to walk in the Weyr. He snuck(sp) up to the door and knelt down. By that time, the hen had quieted down, and was no longer fussing. He set the hen down and losened his grip on it's beak. When is made no move te make noise, he took his hands away. He pushed the hen a little bit, to make it walk farther into the weyr.
Standing up, he waited for El's reactions to the hen.

Tenathan was rather intrigued as the boys presence was forseen. In an analysis, it seemed as if the intruder had never set foot within a Weyr before as one knows to pad slowly, deaftly, as the corridors echo the smallest noise with a magnitude that brings a crips auible sound. A sneer crept upon his lips as he flashed a devious grin. Best teach him a lesson, he thought as he waited for when the stranger would strike.
Low and behold, as the boy constricted his arms around his neck, Tenethan body grew tense with upmost anger. Gritting his teeth as his eyes glanced back towards the shadowed intruder, he wrinkled his nose and bared his fangs like that of a wild beast.
"For a sharding fool sent by those of Xanadu Hold,"he replied with a malicious look kindling within his eyes," and you must be him."

Eldawen had slipped into a trance-like state. Her mind had drifted to another place and another time. She wondered how she was chosen to help build up Xavren Weyr. She had just barely Impressed Sanrith, she had shown up late to the hatching. Sighing, she looked back out across the land.
Just as she was about to drift off, she heard movement in her weyr. "Who is there?" she called out, moving cautiously towards her main room, grabbing a basket of glowsticks. When nobody answered, she became suspicious. Moving quietly through the room, she looked around. Seeing nothing, she let out a sigh of relief.
Suddenly, a chicken squawked and El jumped. "What in Faranth's name is that?!" she called out, not knowing how the sharding thing got in her weyr. Sanrith let out a bellow of protest upon hearing her rider yell. El had a faint idea of who was behind this.
"ZANE! GET IN HERE!" she called.

Zane turned the corner and walked into El's weyr. Zane's head up and he looked straight into El's eyes. Though he was smiling from ear to ear but he still said, "What?" His eyes sparked and he fought to hold his laughter in. "I just thought you would want a present. I saw you were up!" Zane couldn't do it anymore, he burt out laughing. He was laughing so hard, he was having trouble breathing. "I- I...I just wish I could have seen yo- your face! Your y- yell! I bet they heard it down in the kitchens!" He looked up a El, hoping she was laughing with him.

"Merrr..." Airinna said, rolling out of bed. "Is it morning already?" She mummbled.
Mine? Why are you awake? The sun has not yet risin. Kayrith, her beatiful green questioned.
If the sun is not up, then neither am I. Airinna mind-spoke back. She was crawling back under the covers when she heard a faint yell.
Mine? Kayrith asked as Airinna bolted up.
"Were you asleep, Kay?" Airinna said as she got on her day-clothes. A loose light green shirt, brown pants and dark black boots. Thrilling.
No, I was already awake. Why-
"Because we're going to have breakfast."
But I thought-
"I changed my mind. Now c'mon." Airinna commanded as she tied off her hair with a ponytail.

He continued walking back the way he had come, carfull about making noise. He walked back slowly, waiting for the kid to say somthing. ((sorry short post))

As she watched Zane laugh, El couldn't help but laugh herself. "If anyone throws a fit about being woken up in the middle of the night by yelling, you're getting full blame for this." she giggled out. She began to sober up.
"Thanks Zane. I really needed a good laugh." she said.

As the boy loosened his arms from around his neck and began departing back onto the road which he came from, Teneath gritted his teeth with a snort. "You're leaving so soon? I would of thought you'd love to seek revenge against the dragonriders after what they did to you, Gillabart."
Yes, he knew whom this boy was whether or not the boy knew him. Childhood days, turns and turns ago, Tenethan resided in Xanadu Hold and had come across the boy on several occasions and regarded him as one of his best frineds. Sadly, everything seemed to change when Tenethan was taken to Xavren Weyr as a cadidate.
He had left his Hold, family and friends when the tragedy occured and the stains of crimes were deemed upon the dragonriders hands. From then on it was revenge, sweet, sweet revenge that he sought just as Gillabart did, or so he thought.
Untying the wher-hide pouch that was hooked to his wait, Tenethan smiled friendly with a hint of his typical mischief as he looked towards the Gillabart. "I have what you want. The posion that is guaranteed to eradicate every dragonrider in the Weyr." Slowly slipping his fingers into the pouch, he drew out two viles with a strange milky solution. "It's time to take revenge."

Gillabart stiffined when the kid had mentioned why he was at the weyr. Turning around, he corected him. "You know nothing of what we've been through. I do this because the Masters told me to, not for any other reason. Now, do you have enough? We need to posion the wheries, that way the dragons will be affected also." He took one of the viles from the kid. "We should put it in the klah, they all drink that." He walked into the dim kitchen, looking for the pot of klah. "you know, if we made it they would not was the pot out and then wsh the poisin out as well." He turned around. "What to you think?" he asked the kid, hidden partly by ahdows and his clothing. Now that he was looking at his face, he seemed strangly familure. Do I know him from somewhere??

Zane looked at El. She had gone somber and had a shadow in her eyes. He took a step closer. "I know you did, thats why I did it." He took another step closer and hugged her. Holding her in his arms, he continued to talk to her. "Come on El's don't worry, you are amazing. You will be the best Weyrwomen, this Weyr could have. You are stong, smart and listen to people and take what they say into thought." He huged her again and pushed her back, keeping his hand on her shoulders and looking into her eyes. "You will fine. Now smile or wink or something. Please??" Zane looked into the gray/ green eyes of El, whishing she knew that she could do it, like he did.

Airinna walked into the dimly-lit kitchen with Kayrith following behind.
"Are you hungry, Kay? We can go hunting after I wake up more." Airinna said as she shuffled over to the Klah.
Thank you, mine. The green watched Airinna from a table near the door.
Airinna took a mug from the shelf to fill with Klah. After filling it, she slipped back to the table, which parcially hid Kayrith from veiw. She sat next to the small dragon, slightly imerssed(sp?) in shadows.
Suddenly, she heard people taking softly. Her neves humming, as they often do at late night and very early morning she called out.
"Hello? Who's there?"
