RULES FOR HUMAN CHARACTERS
1.) A character's weapons must be logical for the type of person they are. If your character has weapons that are not standard for their prior occupation, explain how/ where they found these weapons.
EXAMPLES:
-A school teacher will not magically start with a AR 15 or a Katana.
-An on duty police officer may have his standard pistol, but would not have an automatic Jackhammer shotgun.
-Children will have NO access to firearms, and must find them as they go
2.) All characters' bios must be at least two five sentence paragraphs in length, cover who they were before the apocalypse, and lead to the present setting.
3.) No character may be created that has an understanding of what the zombie infection is, or how to cure it. People who are interested in RPing as a scientist or researcher involved with the infection are REQUIRED to PM me for permission, and stay in constant contact with the mods.
4.) A character's skills must be realistic to who/ what they are. IF you desire to have skills that are not typical of your character's previous occupation/ life, you must explain WHY the have them and HOW they learned them. A persons level of skill must also be reflective of the time they spent training or learning that skill.
EXAMPLES:
- Teacher are NOT going to be a Class S Marksmen. If they visited firing ranges/ went hunting on their time off for the past two years, their skill with a pistol/ rifle would be notably better than a person who picked up a gun at the start of the apocalypse, but less then the accuracy of a police officer who had been in Law Enforcement for five years.
- A child may be better at hiding then a fully grown human, but a fully grown human who was a burglar before the apocalypse would be better at sneaking/ stealth than the child.
5.) The amount of ammunition your character has MUST be posted AND updated in your character's profile, and specify what caliber and type of ammunition. Ammo types should be standard at the start of your character's RPing (meaning no armored piercing, incendiary, etc)
BAD EXAMPLE!
-a box full of bullets; a duffel bag full of machine gun ammo
GOOD EXAMPLE!
-1 36 round box filled with .357 Magnum rounds
-Two Glock 20 magazines
-10 9 millimeter armor piercing bullets
6.) Your character may only carry a REALISTIC amount of equipment. Try to consider how much everything your character has weighs, and how much they are capable of comfortably carrying. The average in shape ADULT human can carry around 40 to 50 lbs of gear, but be aware that the more your character carries, the slower he/she will be able to move and react.
BAD EXAMPLE!
Billy has an three RPGs, two AK 47s, a belt of Grenades, two Katanas and a Chainsaw. Billy falls over and can't get up because he weighs A TON.
GOOD EXAMPLE!
Artemas has a pack containing two extra AK 47 clips, a 50 round box of 7.56 NATO rounds, 23 loose 45 ACP rounds for his handguns, two bottles of everclear, binoculars, a lighter, four hand rolled cigarettes, and a PDA. That would weigh around 25 pounds or less, making it easy for him to navigate and run without exhausting himself.
7.) After completing your character's profile, please PM it to me. Failure to do so will result in the freezing of your character's acitvity until the profile is PMed to me and accepted.
