Many of us have mentioned repeatedly that sometimes we all just need to vent or just complain to work off some angst. So I'll kick things off:

I, being the genius that I am, sabotaged myself the other day. I've mentioned before that I've been struggling to write a book. Well, I was finally getting to the exciting part, after dictating the ground works. But then I made an absolutely stupid mistake. I should have completely known better, but alas, I'm an idiot. Things were going so well, that I mentioned to a friend that I'll probably finish it within the next 2 months. BOOM!!!!! Writer's block. I had been intentionally not giving myself a deadline for the longest time, just because I didn't want to put pressure on myself when this is more a "for fun" project. Granted, I was always thinking that when I actually finished it, it might be nice to try to get it published, but I have a life that I'm trying to work this around. Since Tuesday, when I uttered the dreaded sentence, I've only managed to write 2 sentences. And the thing is, it's kind of an exciting scene. Now I'm boned. On the other hand, a story that I started writing years ago, but stopped not far in, has been pestering me nonstop. I want to finish one before I go back to the other though, so I'm pretty annoyed with myself. cry

That does suck bells (purposely censored). I have two series I keep alternating between. What I find is that when my life is happy I wish to write one, and the other when my life is bad.

As you mentioned you have put on a mental block. But I don't think it's really the deadline, but so much as seeing a deadline as the cause of a block. It only has so much power over you as you allow it if it is in the fact the root.

You have two choices, go with the flow and work on the work work OR, find out what gets you really thinking about your current novel in progress. I know I listen to certain songs to help me get in the mood for scenes in my story (I usually get blocked when I can't find a fitting song). Look back to your inspiration and go from there. You'll be ok.

But yes, that is vent worthy.

Just saved all my work (or so I thought) on how to reinstate mom's good name to her credit card and everything. Closed the old word document after pasting what I thought was everything only to find out...

I LOST IT! sweatdrop gonk

What happened?! Well, to be honest I didn't copy and paste everything I needed, so when I told the original document not to save changes I lost all the information I spent so long and hard on the phone with Mom to get!

Just called back a few minutes ago to regather all that information only to find out that I copied it twice and on top of which accidentally deleted my personal message on facebook by accident AND deleted facebook from my favorites and recently visited sites. xd This has not been the best night of my life! whee

Well, I hope now everything is calmed down and we can get all the necessary paperwork together. Just need to send one more document for verification that we didn't think we needed, but now have to wait until Monday to get because the flippin' county office isn't open on the weekend. xp I just hope this all clears up before her health insurance tries to bill the credit card company.

One more thing! (rated PG) I called the doctor's to make an appointment for me because my period hadn't stopped in over 2 weeks and I think it is just now begining to stop! rolleyes Figures! As soon as I decide to do something about it, it decides to stop! sweatdrop

Blah! I give up!

heart God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen. heart

You know given you just had a two week period and you went through all this frustration it is amazing I didn't hear any news reports of Kansas being destroyed by an angry woman today. wink Hope you feel better.

LOL! blaugh Yeah, I'm quite surprised I didn't cause a giant disaster and destroy Kansas myself. 3nodding But, hopefully, things will begin calming down now.

Just an update. The writer's block seems to have been short lived. It's now safe to continue with your lives as normal. twisted

Where I am living is in a state of emergency, and I'm just happy because I got to leave work early. (the power went out.) I am a horrible person.

Whew- good to know. The Block is frustrating, and I know it's hard to fix.

It's when you get a mental block, and can't come up with anything to write, no matter how hard you try. It's rather frustrating honestly.

Silly rant- I hate when you're questing for an item and it keeps jumping up about 10,000 gold a day. xp

Ironically usually it becomes "I will obtain it" and less the desire to have the item itself anymore. One of those principle things, ya know?

Ok, so I absolutely abhor politics, but when it begins to impinge upon your sleep time, then you know that you have reached your limit. Things (like this healthcare plan) have become absolutely ridiculous. When did Americans decide that they no longer needed to be held accountable for the mistakes that they have made? When did we decide that it is the government's job to take care of us? The government is in place to help the people, not spoon feed them. If this gets much worse, I'm only going to have 2 options: either move to a different country, or run for president myself, and the second one doesn't sound very appealing to me. Anyone in Canada need a couple of roomates? (hint hint) At the rate things are going, they're going to have to start working doubletime to try to keep the illegal immigrants from sneaking back into Mexico, cuz there won't be anyone left to work...

I don't know more details about current health care plans on the table.

I'd prefer some form of public health care though- just like public school and public mail service. It won't be the best, but I'd much prefer the option (being someone without any health insurance) to get a life saving procedure without getting 30,000 dollars into debt.

What are the details of the current plan? I know I should be better informed of these things, but I tend to be so wound up in everything else I don't always follow politics. I feel like there aren't many unbiased sources out there to find out what's really going on.
