My best friend pisses me off. I love New EBM and Industrial. He goes off on how HE ONLY LISTENS TO MARTIAL INDUSTRIAL CAUSE HE'S SOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE. It pisses me off and I really want to deck him sometimes. You know if you want the Mother F*cking subculture to grow all ya'll need to stop acting like pretentious douchebags and pull your heads out of your asses. Not all of us have ALL day to sit on our asses and listen to music. let alone sit online all day to find random goth bands. Same with my friend. He gets on me for not knowing certain bands. Oh wait... I have a life. I'm sorry. W if you see this you know I'm right so don't freaking b*tch at me. I'm sick to death of the elitists pricks in the subculture. I'm finding it's mostly the younger ones. Funny eh? My friends Heather and Marcus are in their 40s and are actually very nice and helpful if you have a question. That is how it should be! Well I'm on VampireFreaks.com quite a bit and it's the breeding ground for elitists of every kind. just as an example there's basically 90876987658675 "true goth" groups (on VF called cults) that basically unless you ONLY listen to deathrock and have a deathawk. Basically I like too many kinds of "poser" music (industrial, EBM, metal, punk) and my look is too mundane to be "goth" same thing with the rivet head groups and punk groups and metal groups.

Well.. first off... Vampire Freaks IS MAINLY for a$$holes. It's been proven. Second... Not to seem mean but with your age and your dress most OG's (elder goths) are going to call you a babybat. It's just going to happen honey. Third. My main genre is TerrorCore now. I love Industrial, EBM, EDM, Martial Industrial (as of late), Gothic Rock, Post Punk, Punk and Horror Punk. I used to be a die hard Power Metal Head. I got into the Goth scene because of The Sisters of Mercy. First band I heard that was anything close. Then I found Bauhaus. Thank God I found other music... It's really not a Cardinal Sin to listen to other music. I'm pretty sure. But it is proper to have knowledge of Goth Rock if you are going to try and be in the scene. At least listen to it a lot.

I'm not bitching about it really it I honestly abandonned the whole lable thing long ago so I know I'll never be considered "punk" or "goth" or anything like that which I'm cool with I think it's idiotic that people usually talk syle now instead of music. But in making this thread I wanted to see how many other people actually noticed the elitism. and yeah VF is for assholes lol...IDK I suppose I came across as bitching but it's because goth and deathrock used to a huge part of my life and to a point it still is but I can't stand the people anymore lol. The old school fans are a little less elitist that the new ones though which is why I like this guild so much because there are alot of Old Schoolers or so it seems. Also TerrorCore is pretty cool not a big scene of it where I live sadly.

There aren't even good cyberpunks on VF anymore
I stay checked up on my subscribed bands now but that's all I ******** do there. lol
