Mirror's Edge: in my opinion it was a great game. Stunning graphics, fun and challenging gameplay, great plot and music. The esurance-like cutscenes were a bit of a let down. My favorite aspect of the game is the problem solving and fast-paced situations you find yourself in - which makes it even better when you try not using a gun at all during the campaign.

So, what do you think? Likes/pros? Dislikes/cons? Conspiracies or rumors pertaining to the game? Would you like to see a sequel?

this game was fun for like 15 minutes. liek its pretty much a game based off of being an acobat. it would have been a much better game if the combat system didnt fail. there were only certain enemies that you could fight and others you had to run from. and the story line was a little played out. i donno i thnk it had alot of cool things about it. but it just sucks that you cant fight more. but thats just how things go for new gen games. they dont really start there prime till alot later.

well, it isn't supposed to be a fighting game. sure you can pick up weapons and stuff, but it wasn't the developers focus to make it a shooter, therefore, yes it is lacking in that area. But that's what makes it so much fun - using your parkour moves to get out of situations. I sometimes watch peoples' ghosts in the time trials and some of the routes they take I never even saw before. Possibilities are endless in that game.

i just love the game cus i am person of parkour in real life and it does seem to show the life of parkour ever so well.

not to say that it did lack a lot, like a LONG story, but over all i love the game

You do parkour?! That's awesome. I wish I could do it, but I hate running with a bloody passion so it wouldn't really work out lol sweatdrop Did you see puma's parkour shoe concept? that's a cool shoe.

Anyways, yeah, the story was short. I felt like I was spending more time in the time trials than enjoying the campaign.

yeah but what was the point of doing all that extra stuff like adding in all those cool fighting and disarming move to only do them on one guy you know. i think it was like the 4th or 5th level where you had to escape the mall and there was like 6 guys in there and i had the hardest time in that level. its like you couldnt run threw it to escape because they would shoot you trying to get up to that chandeleer and it was impossibble i had to kill each guy one by one run away and then so on and so on i couldnt get it dont for like 45 minutes. its just to hard in parts that shouldnt be hard. all that cool s**t that lady could do and she could finght more than one guy at a time. no thanks. maybe next time.

oh...well, I just went up the elevator and was fine. I think the hardest part for me was the last-ish level of the game where you're in that big white server room. I had it on the hardest difficulty setting and was trying to finish the entire game without shooting anyone (and specifically on that setting - don't ask why). And I could kill everyone without using a gun except one guy that was on the catwalk. He always shot me before I could get to him. Well, turned out I couldn't finish the game without shooting anyone because I just couldn't get past that one guy - so I shot him. But, that's the only part that I remember gave me trouble with the fighting - everywhere else I could just outrun/outsmart the guards.

mmmm, tasty co-op. oh so delicious. I wonder how that's gunna be. Maybe like army of two-ish (the overcoming obstacle part of it - not the combat part of it) or more like duel ninjas? prob latter, huh?

Well it looks like Ninja gaidan sigma 2, where its Just a challagen, two players help each other to finish a task, the point fo the game it to pass messages, So you never know it could be a Huge game of Keep away from the AI. only time will tell us, i hope it longer tho like 80 hours of game play razz

meh, I think the point of Runner's is to pass messages but I don't think it's the point of the game. I think it would be kinda of cool to meet different Runner groups. I doubt Faith's is the only one out there. I'm also kinda wondering what the whole Tracker/Runner network is like anyway, like who's calling the shots, who's organizing, who's recruiting, etc. If the developers explored all those areas or more, they would have a richer/longer game. I think anyway. I don't know why, but all of a sudden I want to write a fan-fic. lol >w<

I've completed it about 3 times now, and it never gets boring blaugh
I'm playing it right now for my new ps3 account. I'm going for all the bags now blaugh
I've played a few free-runner games, and this is the best one i've ever played. I find it annoying though when i'm swamped with police, and can't run away, because they hit me or shoot me.
I'd love to see a sequal. I also love the theme song for it too blaugh

It was alright. It was more fun to watch people fall and die then to pay attention to the story line though. Graphics were good, but it was too short.

i had to download the soundtrack... the music is that great. PLUS the fact that the game literally had me on the edge of my seat (or standing) when it came down to the rush you got when playing (and escaping the fuzz)

cant wait to play ME2...

P.S. gotta love the "wet crunch" sound when you miss your jumps and fall 50 stories to the ground...

Ah Mirror's Edge... A game that laid the framework for first person freerunning in other games. For instance, Brink? They may use a different system, but the concept is still there; Freerunning characters traversing the map not only on the horizontal, but also in the vertical, diagonal, aand about 10 other directions.

Mirror's Edge had barely any combat syste,, and when it did, it was very quick and could be skipped if you wanted to do it... And that's partly way I loved this game so much. You could go the whole game without firing off a shot, and could destroy enemies in the blink of an eye, without even breaking stride.

As for the story... Eh, I didn't care for it. Though, the art style in the cut scenes was awesome, and I really liked the comic book/manga feel to it. All in all, it's one of my favorite Platforming games.
