i.Introduction ii. Guardian
Name: Robin Miller Age: 28 Gender: Female
Hair: Medium brown, shoulderblade length, slightly wavy and frizzy. It is usually pulled up in a ponytail or in a bun, and usually has a few knick-knacks shoved in it (hair sticks, pins, clips, flowers). Eyes: Brown. Build: Very curvy and rather pear-shaped. Slightly under average height (5'4"), around 180-200 pounds, though she isn't unhealthily overweight, she has a heavyish build, and much of her weight is in her hips. She isn't toned or muscular, and has a slightly rounded belly. References for build: [1] [2] [3] Appearance: Robin is one who expresses herself through her clothing. She wears large, full skirts or loose or yoga style pants, flowing tops or tank tops, and lots of clunky 'tribal' jewelry. Her ears are pieced several times, and her earlobes are gauged slightly, to about 3/4". Most of her clothes are brightly colored, though she usually wears some black or brown with them to make it not too eye-blinding. She usually wears sandals when she wears shoes, as she would prefer to go without if she had the choice. Her body is an odd one, with most of the bulk being in her hips, and her hands and feet are smaller proportionally than they should be. And she does, occasionally, wear cholis (the cropped backless top) as well. She does enjoy dressing up in costume even if not performing. x3)
Personality: Robin is a caring and nurturing person to a fault. She can usually be seen laughing or smiling, and usually helps to try and cheer a person up should they be sad. She is, however, rather sensitive about her weight, as she had been on the larger side her whole life and was teased as a child because of it. She found a hobby that let her embrace and lover her body, however, which led to a large spike in her self esteem: bellydance. The style of bellydance she found was one that relied on a group (or tribe/troupe) of other women to dance with, one that had become like a second family over time. She dances with her troupe, and helps teach and work around the dance studio they use, as well as making clothing and jewelry that she sells at a store she and a friend co-own.

This dance comes from sword and sun-cracked land. In her journey, she discovered oceans, thunderstorms, mountains of green.
She comes to you, shoes filled with motherland sand so her feet will feel at home wherever they walk.
She appears loose in her skin. Too many women have asked to try it on and tossed it back when they found it too big for their cameras.
Let your body be a place she can rest joyfully, a peaceful ground of curves like the dunes she’s homesick for.
But from the back of the studio, I can see you avoiding your eyes in the mirror the way my daughter does when she knows she’s about to be scolded.
I say nothing.
A dancer knows there is no greater punishment than her own shame. Your body wants to please you, and you can only point to where it fails.
You demand the same from me: break dance into a thousand scattered pieces for us to examine and collect! See, teacher! Look, I got this piece, and this piece and –

Location: Lower half of her back. Wraps around her sides and hips.

Name: Ligea Gender: Female
Appearance: Ligea would be a rather round child. Not overly so, just healthily plump. This will most likely stay with her as she grows up, and would be rather feminine in shape when she does. Her skin would be tan, as if she had spent quite a bit of time outside, and her hair would be thick, dark brown or black, and curly. Her clothing choice would be a combination of tight fitting clothes as well as loose, flowy ones. And special features, maybe, maybe not. Not too sure yet.
Personality: Ligea would be a quiet child, though not anti-social or afraid of people. Just observant. Though, since both figures are thought to be fertility figures, she would become more and more feminine, as well as something vaguely sultry-ish. She would be a person more of instincts and feelings than thinking, and as such woul dbe rather impuslive.

Holy hell.
If I met Robin on the street, she'd be the type of person I'd want to talk to and get to know. Extra points that she would probably let me! She's a wonderful character, and I adore how she's not some skinny belly-dancing Sue, but instead a totally believable character. I couldn't possibly give you any crit on her, other than "keep her away from Drew".
Ligea seems less developed, but I don't blame you. I don't even have kid details at all. All I can wonder is, does she have the ethnic features of the statues you chose? I think it would be rather hot for her to have a long sharp nose, full lips...yenno the deal. Also, born with piercings? They're magic kids, so why not? Just ideas, not real input. I like her too. <3
Just personal preference, I'd go for the Venus of Willendorf. It's more well-known and reminds me more of something Robin would want (it being round and beautiful!) and also makes me think of the Ligea you described.

I like your OC very much. Robin is a very unique individual. In my opinion, you should try giving us an example of everyday life with Robin. Try describing her movements, it helps to give us a better picture of her and her personality combined. Does she walk with a cat like way or smooth like water? Perhaps she has a fast pace that's indescribably elegant. It helps bring more life into the character. You can tell us about her personality and history all you want but the little things such as telling us how she moves brings her even more to life.
I like the inspiration and her tattoo is quite interesting as well. Not much I can say on those.
I think however your ink child could still use some work. In my opinion her personality is still.. rough. Liked Rabid said, undeveloped?
Her personality, I find to be quite bland. Very vague. I know it's not fun thinking of a personality right away, but I would love for the child to be as unique as Robin. Will she be similar to Robin in personality or the belly dancer's counterpart to promote growth? It's all suggestions of course.
But overall it was very good. : ]
