Welcome to the Kanto region, I am Professor Oak. For this journey, you may choose 1 of 3 Pokemon to train. If you find all 151 Pokemon to fill up the Kanto region Pokedex, I shall be sending you onward to your next region.
Please note, that you will be able to see the other 2 starter Pokemon and be given their evolutions so, right away, you will have 7 of the 151 Pokemon you need. Keep a checklist of all the different Pokemon you see.
And so, your brand new Pokemon journey begins.

Oak turned to see Vemon and said, "Welcome to the Pokemon Lab, Vemon. What type do you wish to start with? Fire type, water type, or grass type?"

Oak smiled then replied, "All right, Vemon, your Charmander will be named Zuko. If he evolves come tell me. Okay? Now as for you, Bakkaru, here is your pokemon. Its a squirtle. National ID number 7. Would you like to name him, Bakkaru?"

Vemon said " Ok Professor Oak. I'll let you know as soon as he evolves. Bye Professor." She then walked out of Professor Oak's lab. Deciding that this would be a good time to bond with her new pokemon. She then let Zuko out of his pokeball.
