The only child of the enormously wealthy Chance Kae, Sheridan was the result of a brief affair between her single father and the internationally famous model, Brianne Sommera. When her mother discovered she was pregnant, she had not wanted the child. Her father however, had paid for her to keep the baby. Once Sheridan had been born, Brianne happily relinquished all rights to the child and had continued to further pursue her career without a backwards glance.
Shi grew up in a loveless household, where there were always rules to be followed both at home and out in public. Chance did not see Sheridan as much more than a prop for his business image - that of the doting father and his brilliant, beautiful child. Her father seemed to believe that money and luxury made up for his lack of heart towards the daughter he paid attention to so rarely. Consequently, she was always surrounded by wealth, attending the best of private boarding schools and denied almost nothing.
She learned, after a while, that it was not always best to trust in those who said what she wanted to hear. And although it hurt, she came to accept that her father would never love her. But they were the closest thing each had to family, and as such, managed to develop a relationship of mutual respect and cautious friendship.

1986 - year of the Tiger.
People say that horoscopes are written purposely vague so that everyone can feel like they identify. Perhaps it is true... but Shi has a theory - perhaps horoscopes affect everyone in a different way. Perhaps, people would rather blame the vagueness of the general horoscopes rather than admit that possibly, just possibly, something from thousands of years ago are actually a true reflection of themselves.
