I'm sure beginner Roleplayers in this guild are wondering, what's the difference between semi-literate (semi-lit), literate (lit), and advanced literate (advanced lit or advnc lit)
semi-literate (semi-lit): most common. it consists of at least one sentence per post and does NOT use *[insert action here]* type roleplaying.
literate (lit): is a step up from semi-lit and usually has at least 2-3 sentences per post and correct spelling.
advanced literate (advanced lit or advnc lit or a-lit): is the hardest. It consists of at least one well constructed paragraph with correct grammer and spelling (or as close as possible) per post. most advanced lit roleplays have complex plot lines and character profiles.
In these types of Roleplays, using *[insert action here]* type roleplaying is frowned upon because these roleplays require more detail than *gives high five*. It would be more like, "Glomps then gave Maki a high five."

Eeerr.. Glomps? May I remind you that the use of the *_____* does not indicate a beginner in role playing. It is commonly used in chat role playing, a different kind of role play that is faster in pace in comparison to the detailed style of forum RP/ play-by-post.

No, no. xD Chat is a separate kind of role playing; you can rarely differentiate the beginners from the advanced because all the actions are encased in *___* and don't contain as much detail compared to forum RP since it's faster in pace. Example:
Maki: Hi Glomps! *raises her hand for a high five*
Glomps: Hi Maki! *runs behind her and glomps her instead*
Maki: Hey! Get off of me. *tries to shake her off*
Glomps: *snickers and maintains a firm grip on her friend*
Maki: *slams her back against the floor and rolls around mercilessly*
I think only play by post RP has that Beginner- Advanced categorization. They're both different styles, so they can't be grouped into one although they are both methods of role play.

Separate chat.. Or to make it easier, remove it. Just tell people that using *____* in this kind of role play (play by post) is looked down upon; it requires more detail, like when you write a book.
