As the name implies, this is an idea/ suggestions thread for our RP world. This particular thread will cover all discussion about large scale plot events that will unfold throuought the Roleplay, scripting (if it's desired), repurcations and/or world-wide consequences of these events. Events for this RP would encompass emergency nuclear launches from foreign countries, rogue wandering militias sweeping through a location, meeting with members of The Darkeye Syndicate, etc.
-Suggest/ Comment on Event ideas here -Discuss/ Brainstorm with other members about upcoming/ events -Post writing/ research regarding your event ideas!!
Please be respectful of all members' ideas. Even if you do not feel they are a good idea, or they are not implemented into the RP environment, be kind enough to act civil.
Thank you, and start thinking!

So I've had an idea for a long time about a Zombie roleplay that I think would work really well as an event. There would be several stages to the event, and it would follow a specific plot. The participants would not be controlling any NPCs (Zombie or otherwise) but rather would be controlling their own characters while "Dungeon Master" type players would control the NPCs and zombies in the area, as well as doing the usual DM task of telling you what happens around you (Buildings collapsing, car alarms sounding, etc). The goal would be to get to a military fort or other safehouse after your own home ran out of supplies. I have done some research and planned out all four stages. I'm still deciding if I wanna make them public, in case the event ever occurs. It might be more fun not knowing what each stage is until the players arrive at each one.

^^ I think there should be some sort of event were you say something like: "In one of these quite normal-looking locations there is a great cache of supplies (weapons), we will be looking for the key-word, so SEARCH YOUR HEARTS OUT! And don't get infected in this highly-active zombie area!" Then post a very detailed map of the buildings in the location. (maybe even make it up on a Paint document! XD) If someone searches a specifc part of a specifc building you can PM them or OOC in the forum saying something like: "It's in the top-left corner, behind the boiler there is a door to a mineshaft used by an entire army brigade, they have moved, but in their camping sites contain some dicarded, empty, high-powered weapons of the soldiers. ^^ TAKE THEM, they're yours, and for NOBODY ELSE to find! CONGRATS! O,o" So, how's the idea? XD Any good? There's some levity for ya in a gruesome horror story! LOL

I'm of the firm belief that, while The American Military may not be in tip top shape, it's still kicking and screaming, be it either Division by Division or through a collection of Divisions that have re-organized themselves as a small army with new leadership.
That in mind, I'm thinking that (Using the "DM" method Totro mentioned) there will be a large scale military operation, and our unlucky fellows might walk right into the middle of it. If any of you have read world war Z, consider the Battle of Yonker (of which the amazing picture on our main page is from razz )

Fairly sure it's Yonkers, I don't know for sure but I kept having the store pop into my head whenever I was reading that chapter, and I'm pretty sure I should be shot for trying to be a grammar nazi.
BEGIN EACH SENTENCE WITH A CAPITAL PUNISHMENT! SIEG HIEL SIEG HIEL!
Just kidding, please don't shoot me.
I think a nice event would be something like a left 4 dead campaign. Get to safe point and attempt to hold out there and accomplish something. Also, I think something should explode, and we should be able to fight in the horizontal remains of a skyscraper. Get a nice effect by running up the walls, climbing up staircases to progress further, maybe even have a still working elevator somehow. That would be fun to play chicken with (Ex. Trying to get from floor 60 to 33 with a hay-wire elevator charging up and down the corridor. Have some zombies with wallcrawler abilities there, how much fun would that be?
