Description:
Sandgem Town (Japanese: マサゴタウン Masago Town) is a location in the region of Sinnoh, the featured area in the Generation IV games, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The town notably has sandy terrain to the south, the beginnings of Sandgem Beach. The beach, part of Route 219, is in close proximity to the town itself.

Professor Rowan's laboratory is located here. It is also the hometown for Dawn or Lucas, depending on the player's gender. The little sister of Dawn or Lucas gives information about swarms she sees on television. It is the first location in Sinnoh where Poké Balls are able to be purchased. The town smells of the salty scent of the sea.

Sandgem Town Music Mission: Talk to Prof. Rowan

Garen had walked for hours. He stopped in Sandgem Town. He went to the nearest pokémon center.

The nurse left with Garen's Starly and returned just minutes later. She handed him his Starly.

"She was burned from a previous battle perhaps but that was about it."

Garen figured the burn had come from Chimchar's ember. Garen exited the building. He continued on his way to Jubilife City.

As Drago Entered Sandgem town he headed straight for professor rowans lab. " Professor Rowan are you here " Drago calls as he walks in. "Yes Drago in the back" He hears the professor call.
As Drago walks to the back of the room he sees the professor staring at something on his computer. "Studying some new pokemon data professor?"Drago asks. He walks over and sees the professor checking his emails. "oh guess not" he says. " So Drago how are things going on your journey" the professor asks.
"they're going great, me and champ are getting along , and i even caught another pokemon!" drago says excited. " That's wonderful drago what kind of pokemon is it?" the professors asks. " It's a starly" Drago replies. " Really may i see it" the professor asks.
"of course" Drago says "starly Come on out"
"Hmm what an excellent specimen" The professor says peering at starly. "although you should take it to the pokemon center to get those scratches and that lump taken care of" says the professor. " oh yeah those must be from our battle... uh it's a long story but i'll go straight to the pokemon center"

It's a brand new day at the Sandgem Pokemon Center.

*yawns* "Another great day to start training right Shian!"

"Piplup-Pip!"

Studying the Town map located in the corner of the Center, Twili traced her finger along the route she has to take to make it towards the next city.

"From route 202 it should be a straight shot to Jubilife City." Nurse Joy chimed"

"Thanks Nurse Joy! But first we're going to stop in and talk to Professor Rowan one last time."

"Well have a safe journey then. I message my sister, to let her know you'll be visting soon."

"Thanks again Nurse Joy. See ya!"
"Piplup!"

Now outside Twili walked the short distance to Rowans (No need for a bike when the lab is next to the Pokemon Center.)

"Professor Rowan are you here!" She called as she walked in the building.

"Yes I'm in the back room!" With that said she followed the voice to the farthest part of the lab.

"I came to stop by and say goodbye before I left Sandgem. Shian and I have been training hard so were going to head to the next to train even more!"

"That's good to hear, have you been using your pokedex?"

"Mhm! I've gathered information on a few pokemon so far."

"Good. The World is Immense. So there are many more pokemon. That means many more thrills for you and to seek and enjoy!"

"Right! Shian and I will do our best!" She gave him a big hug and smiled happily."Thanks Professor. We'll be on our way now. C'mon Shian"

"Piplup"
"Goodbye Professor!" She shouted as she ran for the door.

"Take Care Twili!"

And now it's off for Route 202 for Twili and Shian~

As Cecil and Atsuma strolled into Sandgem Town, he noticed the large building on his left, "Ah, isn't this Prof. Rowan's lab? We should pay him a visit while we're here, but first," He pulled out his Bidoof's, Monkey's, PokeBall, "We should get him healed up and then show him to the Professor, right?"

"Chi~mchar!" Atsuma cheered, doing a backflip afterward. Apparently, he was very fond of the plan.

"Hehe, sweet, then let's go, Atsuma." As they made their way to the Pokemon Center, they saw many travelers like himself, walking here and there with their Pokemon by their side. So, this is what it was like to see the world with Pokemon, huh?

As they entered the Pokemon Center, he was greeted by a smiling face with cotton-candy pink hair, "Hello, I'm Nurse Joy, how may I help you?"

Cecil smiled, "Haha, yeah, I need you to do your thing with my Monkey."

Nurse Joy smiled, "Of course, hold on a moment and I'll be right back with your Mankey." Cecil tilted his head in confusion.

A few minutes later...

"Um," Nurse Joy came back, a confused look on her face, "This isn't a Mankey, it's a Bidoof."

"Huh? Ohh, hahaha," Cecil laughed at her remark. Now he understood why she said 'Mankey', she misunderstood him, "N-no, 'Monkey', it's the name I gave my Bidoof."

Nurse Joy blushed in embarrassment, "Oh dear, I'm sorry, it's been a long shift, so I'm just a little out of it. My apologies."

Cecil waved his hands in front of him, gesturing she should stop, "No, no, no big deal, no harm, no foul, whatever. Is Monkey ready to go?"

"Hehe, yes," Joy pulls out a PokeBall and hands it to Cecil, "Here you go, sir, and please come back soon." As Cecil left the Center, he turned to see Nurse Joy and a Chansey waving goodbye to him as he left. He returned the wave and left for Rowan's Lab.

As they entered the front door, Cecil and Atsuma were greeted with a large hall that emptied into an even larger room with glass panes filling the wall. Standing there, looking at a Turtwig and jotting down notes was the man himself, "Prof. Rowan, how're you today?"

The Professor turned away from his specimen to see Cecil and Atsuma strolling into his lab, "Ah, Cecil, doing fine, I suppose. And how is... Ah..."

"Atsuma."

"Ah, yes, how is he?"

"Doing great," Cecil scratched the back of his neck, "In fact, I just caught my first Pokemon just a few hours ago, ya wanna see?"

"Haha," Prof. Rowan clapped, "Well done, Cecil, a cut off the ol' block that is your sister, I daresay. I'd be happy to see it."

Cecil reached to the back of his belt and pulled out Monkey's PokeBall, "Come on out," He tossed it into the air, "Monkey!" As the ball flew into the air, it split open and spat out his Bidoof, which then stood back onto his hind legs and crossed his arms in a defiant manner, "Look at him, what an intimidating Pokemon, huh?"

"Mm," Rowan moved closer to take a look at Monkey, "I daresay, she is a fighter, for sure."

"... Wait, she? You mean he, right?"

"No, you see, a male Bidoof has five plumes on his tail, but this one has three... Meaning he is a she."

"... Eh!?" Cecil looked at Monkey, "Is this true Monkey?"

Monkey stared at Cecil for a while, nothing being said... Then Monkey's cheeks began to turn red and then turned away, "Bibibi~... Bidoof." A slight nod said the whole thing.

"Whoa! No way..!" Cecil pulled out Monkey's PokeBall and returned Monkey to the ball, "Well, anyway, we better get going, we have to make our way to Jubilife City."

"Ah yes," Rowan said, clearing his throat, "Well, I wish you safe travels, Cecil, and you, too, Tatsuma."

"It's Atsuma."

"Right."

And so, Cecil and Atsuma left the Lab for Jubilife City, leaving the city limits and walking into the grass for their next adventure...
