Freaksrus Stella was keeping watch over the tree and was starting to sleep. Celesi wandered over and took a few Star Fruits off the tree. She then hid them in the forest. Stella was mad at her, but instead of having her go find them and return them. She decided to let Gaians find them. The way was open for them. Stella smiled at them all. "Welcome! You get to be the first to enjoy a special Treasure Hunt." "There are three paths you may choose. One into the Deep forest. One toward the lake. The other leads to a clearing. Please Choose your path and may you find them." Celesi chuckled. "Good luck all of you!" She smiled and waved, then turned and ran. Now which way will you choose... Every one must choose a path. It will be a Choose your own adventure Quest. If you want to make a new topic for your responses that is fine. You may also post your responses here. RP is fine but not required. All Shop rules apply.

Lissome Llia Nozomi was here, all by herself. Her guardian was busy tending to the shop.You're old enough, Nozomi, the seamstress had said, patting her on the head and telling her to have a good time.
But was she, really? Since that first picnic the girl had rarely been to anywhere without Llia. She looked around shyly at everyone else gathered for the Treasure Hunt, then decided that it would be too irritating to them if she tried to tag along with someone. A few of them looked like they were going to treat this like a competition and not just a fun game.
She examined her three options. The Deep forest looked scary and dark to her. Her star was always glowing, yes, but she always preferred to head towards well-lit areas if possible. Also, the lake looked cool and inviting, but Nozomi didn't know how to swim...
Her choice was pretty obvious. After pausing to give Stella a brief hug, ("It's great to see you again!"), Nozomi headed down the path to the clearing.

Freaksrus Nozomi took the path to the Clearing. She saw a butterfly near a bush. Will she follow the butterfly, go right, or go left.

Nozomi just stepped into the clearing when she saw the butterfly. Like her guardian, she loved the pretty creatures... even though they were just winged worms. Possibly all the more because they were winged worms - symbols of how the lowliest creature could become the loveliest under the right circumstances.
She should be looking for all the Star Fruit Celesi had hidden, but she had no idea which path would lead to it - right or left.
Besides, maybe the butterfly was an omen.
"Hey, butterfly," she said quietly, walking up to it. "I'm looking for Star Fruit. Where do you think I should go?"

The butterfly flew past the bush and deeper into the forest.
It sat a on a rock which also had a small ribbon stuck to it.
Nozomi can see a path to the right, and a path to the left.

As the butterfly flew farther and farther into the forest, Nozomi began to wonder how she was going to get back to the forest entrance - and Llia.
Oh well. Stella wouldn't let anything bad happen to the kids, right?
When the butterfly stopped, Nozomi couldn't help but laugh. From one fork to another!
"Thanks. That... really helped." Intrigued, she walked up to the rock to inspect the ribbon. Who could have possibly left it there? Maybe Celesi had passed through here and dropped it. Hmmm. Maybe the butterfly had pointed her in the right direction after all.
She gave a short bow to the butterfly in thanks, then meandered down the path on the right.

Nozomi with Ribbon in hand heads to the right.
She sees a rock with water coming out of it. A pool of water at the foot of it.
In the pool is something shiney....
The path continues to the right...

Nozomi paused to tie the ribbon around one of the points on her star. She held her star before her with both hands for a moment, admiring her handiwork, then continued on her way.
The forest was very peaceful, and the little girl began to think that her guardian had known what she was doing when she sent Nozomi off on her own. Being alone in a place like this was alright, but certainly not a big city.
Drawn by the light like a helpless firefly, Nozomi stopped to inspect the pool.
She considered whether the shiny object was worth getting wet for... then, clinging tightly to her star, waded in. The little girl was rather afraid - what if this pool was one of the dangerous kinds, where the bottom suddenly vanished in a steep drop? She proceeded cautiously, each foot searching for the bottom before meeting it... and before she knew it, she was in the middle.
Not quite believing her luck, Nozomi bent to pick up the shiny object.
((Assume she continues to the right after this, I'll RP that in my next post.))

Nozomi finds a small star. It seems to go with the ribbon. But another piece is still needed.
She continues on the path, and is stuck in a small pool of quicksand.
There is a branch to her right.

EEEEEK!
Imagine holding two stars while sinking in quicksand! After a few panicked seconds of flailing about one-armed, Nozomi realised she was sinking slower, and actually stopped when she was up to her waist.
Great. Now what?
Tossing her star and the smaller star to proper ground ahead, Nozomi seized the branch to her right, and began to haul herself out.

Nozomi was freed from the quicksand. She joined her star and looked about.
She could go straight or through the bushes on her right.

Rather shaken, Nozomi didn't dare venture into the bushes - what if she ran into more quicksand, or something unknown was hiding in the bushes waiting to attack? She'd take a while to calm down from that incident.
Hugging her star tightly, the little girl headed down the straight path before her.

Nozomi continued to go straight. There was a cave in front of her.
She could only go into the cave, or to the right.

As she walked along, listening to the wind through the trees and the song of a distant bird, Nozomi grew calmer. Stella wouldn't let any of us get hurt...
She paused to look at her star and the other star she had picked up. For some reason the ribbon now felt odd on hers. She untied it, and attached it to the other star instead.
There we go.
When she spotted the cave, Nozomi frowned. She definitely didn't like dark places, but after overcoming the quicksand... what could be worse?
Besides, maybe another star was hiding in there.
Nozomi cautiously entered the cave, holding the stars before her to light her way.

Nomzomi went into the cave. From the light of her star she could see a entrance to the right, one to the left, and one continuing on straight ahead.
