Hidden deep in the Mid Forest lies a city only known to the fairy's and a few other trusted individuals. It's citizens are as peaceful as the lake that rests beside the city. It's culture rich and pure. It is the City of Wilwarin.

"Wow," Havenleigh said to herself as she sat in her new office."This is nice.' She looked around her new office that was lavishly furnished with everything she could ever need, including a plate of fresh cookies that sat at the corner of her desk.

Today was her first official day as Governor of Wilwarn. Although her family had been involved politics all her life and knew what to expect, she had to admit she was nervous. Thankfully the community supported her taking the office after her father decided to retire from the position.

Now Havenleigh sat at her looking over the reports from the intelligence fairy's the she sent out into the forest to learn everything that was going on. Although they were a peaceful species, there was no harm in learning what was going on. Especially with the rising number of the Tratiors in forest.

Just as she was finishing up the report about the colonies in the southeast forest, there was a knock on the door. Her new assistant's head poked through the opening of the door," Um, excuse me miss. There is an issue that has come up down in the square. "

"Thank's Millie. I will down shortly". Havenleigh carefully stacked the reports neatly in her drawer and headed into the hall where he assistant was waiting for her. "What's going on?"

Millie said, "You will see once we get there."

And with that, they both headed out into the town square.

All the nature she passed strained their stems to feel near Muirne as she walked the path to the little house she called home. Coming up behind the house, she unclasped the wooden gate and closed it gently behind her. Turning on her tippy toes, she set her feet down flat and smiled wide and bright as her eyes fell over her garden. "I'm hooome..." her voice sang out as she walked down the center of her garden to the house. She turned to look back at her garden, now up and glowing from her presence. A quick scrunch of her nose, a wave, and into the house she skipped.

Once inside the kitchen, Muirne stood at her work table and pulled out from the sack around her shoulder the small collection of buds she got from the water. She laid them out on a piece of cloth to dry. These little pieces would be used in a tea for curing sore throats that take your voice away; the equivalent to laryngitis. Once all the buds were placed neatly on the cloth, Muirne made her way out of the house and headed to town to check on a few patients.

The town square was filled with faeries as Havenleigh exited the building. Angry voices were heard as she drew closer to the center of the commotion.

"What exactly is going on here?" Havenleigh used her loud authoritative voice. Everyone grew still as they turned to look at her. Deep inside her, Havenleigh had butterflies growing restless. Nothing had prepared her for things like this.

When no one had spoken up, she looked them in the eyes."No one wants to tell me? Harold, would you care to share what was going on here?" She had addressed the shopkeep who had his head bowed.

"Well miss, we just saw the post on the board. Some felt that we shouldn't be hiding here like a scared rabbit. They wanted to take a stand and put someone else in your position. "

"And others," a lady said from the other side of Harold. "Felt that you are the best thing to happen to Wilwairn. And would protect us."

Looking into the eyes of the citizens, Havenleigh knew this was the chance to prove herself to those who oppose her. " As you all know, there has been attacks accruing in our area of the forest. But have no fear. I know we are strong enough to keep our families safe.

" I am going to the Queen herself to seek an alliance with her which will make us stronger. With her help, I know we can defeat those who wish us harm. No I expect you all to help each other out while I am away. I want no reports of fighting going on between us. " With that being said, Havenleigh turned from the crowd and headed back to her office with Millie by her side.

"Millie be a dear and send a messenger to the Queen letting her know I will visit her shortly."

"Yes M'Lady"

After gathering her things that she needed for her trip, she made her way tword the main office of the Town Hall. Havenleigh made sure that all was in order with her staff as her trip would not be a short one.

"Millie, you know how to reach me if anything should occur. I should be back in two weeks time. "

"Yes, M'lady. Have a safe trip."

Havenleigh smiled at Millie as she roes up in the air. A rush of joy filled her as it did every time she flew. It was one of the simple joys that she held dear to her. But she knew that this was no time to dally and she headed North to the Castle.

Muirne stepped her way across the town square and listened closely to a couple of faes standing near the fountain. Her ears perked up a bit at the word notice and her eyes quickly darted, noticing right away the new parchment. Coming up to it she read over the words three times carefully. With a hand on her hip and cant of her head a moment in thought, she turned and headed on her route once again.

The attacks have been all too familiar to Muirne already. While she's never been personally attatcked, she's treated people who have been. The first stop of the day was an elven man who left his house only once a month to get necessary provisions. He wasn't paranoid, but bitter and had no friends. He tolerated Muirne because he thought she was beautiful.

She rounded the corner and headed down the long uneven stone path to his cottage. There were three gates along the path, the front grounds separated into three yards. What for, she wasn't quite sure, and never asked. The cottage had three floors, the top one much smaller, make shift, and obviously built by him. Three windows in the house, three sinks, three singing birds in their cages...Muirne discovered his compulsive sets of threes more and more each time she came over. Her knuckles knocked softly on the front door and a mere moments later the sound of the three locks unlocking went one after the other.

The door opened and there stood Aeson, rushing her in as always, so quick to lock the door behind her. "Good day to you Aeson," she said as she hurried her feet in and headed toward the kitchen, where they always conducted business. She set her bag down on the table and sat in a chair to wait.

Aeson was tall, at least in these parts, and had beautiful long hair that fell straight to his waist. He was immaculate and every hair looked precisely the same length. She admired the way they moved in unison, in perfect rhythm along with each of his footsteps. She smiled and stood as he entered into the room and he only nodded. He didn't smile much, his attitude was always cold, but she could see the nervousness in his eyes-and so long as she could, she'd always smile in front of him. "Hello Muirne, you're late as usual." He cleared his throat and looked away with a single blink of those dark blue eyes before finally turning them to her. Muirne watched as his face relaxed only slightly.

"As usual. Now, on to the important stuff. How're your ears feeling?" He sat down in the empty chair just as she stood, walking over to him and standing at his side. She put a finger under his chin and pushed lightly to tilt his back as she listened to him complain about the pain. Aeson has always had problems with his ears, one hated water, always in pain, and the other never wanted to work, was losing his hearing. He didn't look old, just very distinguished. Muirne turned his head to look into the infected one, "The redness is back, have you run out of drops or are you just not remembering to use them again?" He said he ran out, which was a lie of course. She reached into her back and pulled out a smaller sack tied with string. She handed it to him and waited for him to hand her the drops. "Now the smaller bag, " she said, now pouring a pinch of powder into the liquid. She put the palm of her hand over his ear. It was moments before his eyes closed and a long sigh of relief from the elf. "Better?" She smiled at his nod.

The other ear was getting a bit more difficult to handle. There were several different things she had tried and while they all worked in some magnitude or another, nothing was permanent. She hadn't the heart to tell the poor elf he may just have to accept being deaf in that ear. Muirne poured her latest theory into his ear and sure enough, he thanked her for the improvement. Inside she knew however, it wouldn't last either.

"Aeson, join me at Lakespure pond for a swim one day?" She said as he escorted her to the door. "Absolutely not, Muirne." He handed her his form of payment and hurried her out the door just as fast she came before hesitating and saying with a nod, "Good day." Muirne smiled quietly at the door as the three locks were locked and turned to head through the three gates back to her rounds.
