Highway 105 is the largest highway around Takaba Academy, and one of its many exits is sure to get you wherever you need to be.

Madoka continued his smooth driving, glancing at the familiar speed sign that said '50 MPH'. He sped up to exactly that, noticing that the SUV that was behind him had changed lanes, and that a sporty-looking red convertible was tailgating him quite closely. "I wonder if they think they're close enough..." he mumbled with a smug smile, and it he had half a mind to slam on his breaks.
((HAHA. My mom totally slammed on her breaks one time when we were out, because this kid was RIGHT on our butt. It was so annoying. They got so pissed off and my mother and I both flipped them the bird as they passed us. xD))

  Nathaniel blushed a bit and laughed nervously. "It's not that I really don't know... I just kept getting really nervous before the big test, and I kept failing." he said sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders. "So eventually, to save myself from further embarrassment, I stopped trying and just gave up. I got a bunch of crap from the oldest of my sisters when she got her liscence, and she still rubs it in my face..." he continued, pouting a bit.
Rasing his eyebrows at Madoka's last statement, he looked over to the side of his seat to see the drivers in question. "They are fairly close..." he said, getting a little nervous.
((Heh! I'm really neurotic, so I worry about running things over.
Oh jeez, that's great! My mom just yells at people when she drives.))

Madoka sighed. "These sisters of yours... they sound like they were raised by wild animals, not people," he said with a sigh, reaching his left hand over to rest it on Nathaniel's thigh. Looking in his rearview again, he took his foot off the gas a little and watched the convertible behind him almost slam their breaks to avoid rear-ending him. He smiled wickedly and looked back at the road in front of him and laughing a little bit. "Oops," he said, but he obviously didn't mean it.

Nathaniel rolled his eyes. "Let's just say that my arents were never around too much, and when they were, they all acted like sweet little angels." he said, distain dripping from his voice, his small blush returning to his cheeks when he felt Madoka's hand on his thigh. He was about to say something else when he jumped and yelped when the people behind them had to his tthe breaks. Trying to hold back his laughter, he swatted his teacher's hand half-heartedly. "Madoka!"

"Oww," Madoka laughed jokingly when he hand was slapped, and he removed it, putting it back on the wheel. "Fine." He laughed a little more and sighed. He hit his turning signal and switched lanes, letting the person in the red car speed up, and he smiled and waved out the window as they passed. "We want the next exit anyway." As the next exit came into view, he turned on his turning signal again and took the exit, speeding onto the off ramp of the highway.

Nathaniel couldn't hold back his laughter anymore and put his hand over his mouth to stifle it as Madoka changed lanes. He even gave a tiny wave himself to the angry looking driver of the red sports car. Still giggling, he leaned over carefully and kissed the spot below his teacher's ear that he knew was sensitive. "Sorry for slapping your hand..." he said softly before sitting back in his seat again.

Madoka chuckled as he was kissed in a sensitive spot, mumbling, "I forgive you," with a smile, and as he pulled into the parking lot of the super mall, he found a spot to park quickly. "Here we are," he said, turning the key to turn the car off, and putting his keys in his pocket. He got out of his side and walked around to Nathaniel's side quickly, and opened the door for him.
((I totally just realized we're still at the highway... you can post first at the mall entrance, if you want.))

Tomoko smiled. "It was fun," she said, bringing her legs up onto the seat and folding them criss-cross. "You don't need to thank me." She felt a little more comfortable now that she knew what was going on, but just barely.
Madoka sighed softly as he got off the highway and pulled onto a less mainstream road, driving until he was in front of Tomoko's house. "Here we are," he said, putting the car in park. "Tell your dads I said hi." He smiled, and he had a little desire to go inside and tell his friends of his plans, but there was no time for that.
Tomoko unbuckled herself as the car stopped, a little sad to be leaving. "Bye, Mado-chan, bye, Na-chan!" she said, giving Nathaniel a little wave before jumping out of the car. Madoka appeared to have rolled his window down, and Tomoko leaned in and gave her godfather a kiss on the cheek, whispering, "Good luck," as she did. She skipped into her house, giving one final wave.
Madoka nodded as Tomoko's wish of good luck, and he pulled out of the driveway as Tomoko went in the house. "We'll have to have her over again sometime," he said with a smile and he rolled the window back up. Soon they were on the Highway again, driving north toward Kawasaki.

Madoka thought for a moment. "Another forty-five minutes, probably," he responded. "The place is called Ohane. It's not a mainstream restaurant, but I've been there before, and it's really nice." He took one hand off of the steering wheel and grabbed Nathaniel's hand, lacing their fingers together. He was beginning to feel just a little more confident about himself.
((That is weird. ;__; and yay, I can use Madoka's format again.))
((Also, I might've shed some light on what Madoka told Tomoko when she dragged him into the kitchen, but even I haven't figured out much of what I'm gonna do yet. xD))

Nathaniel blushed lightly and squeezed Madoka's hand, bringing it up to his lips and kissing the knuckles. "I'm really excited about tonight." he admitted, giving his love a shy smile.
((I am very curious about what Madoka and Tomoko spoke about. That and yay! Madoka post format!))

Madoka laughed lightly as they passed a sign on the highway that gave distances from the current point to several different places. Under Tokyo was Kawasaki, and it read 24 miles. "Not too much longer," he said softly, smiling back at Nathaniel. He knew, whether things went good or bad tonight, things would definitely change, and he was half anticipating it and half scared.

Nathaniel didn't let go of Madoka's hand and only lowered it down from his face. Looking out the window curiously, he stayed quiet for a moment. "Hey Madoka.... While I'm pretending to be a girl, call me Natalie, okay?" he said, looking back over at the other. Natalie seemed like a good choice, since it was close to his actual name.
