Suzuyuki Jewelers is a jewelery store with plenty of silver and gold jewelery everywhere, with all sorts of stones. They have quite a few cases of rings, both wedding rings and regular rings, along with necklaces, earrings, and just about everything else jewelery.

Madoka made his way into the jewelers, trying to be inconspicuous about it, and immediately made his way to the case with the mens' rings in it. He looked around the glass case with a small smile on his face, his eyes flashing from ring to ring. When he found a section of the case with the simpler, but still very handsome rings, he bit his lip for a moment before speaking to the person who was standing behind the case. "Excuse me," he said. "Can I see that ring?" He pointed to a certain ring, which was beautifully shining, a nice 18 karat gold band, thick and very nice. The woman behind the counter took it out for him and he observed it up close.
Madoka looked at the faux velvet case it was it at the price sticker, which read ¥51,000. He breathed slowly and smiled. This price isn't bad... he thought, and on a whim, he decided to get it. "I'll take it," he said happily, taking out his check book and writing the check for the right amout. The woman behind the counter, though surprised, seemed happy enough and peeled the price sticker off the case, put it in a small bag with the jeweler's logo on it, and placed it on the counter. She punched in some numbers on her computer in front of her, and she took the check from Madoka. A receipt printed slowly from the small printer next to the computer and the woman handed it, along with the bag, to Madoka.
The teacher was thoroughly happy. Though the ring was cheap for its kind, it was still a chunk of the money he had in his savings account. However, he smiled and walked out of the jewelers, shoving the ring and bag into his back pocket, and the receipt in the other.

Sakiko nodded and she walked in first, looking around in awe at all of the jewelry in glass containers. "So, I take it you're going to look at wedding bands, then?" she asked, still looking a little distracted, probably due to the fact that she liked the expensive gems and precious metals.

 "Well, that or engagement rings, but I'm not sure there's much of a difference..." Emiel said with a very thoughtful expression. Was far outside his comfort zone, being in a room filled with something he had about no knowledge of made him feel slightly uncomfortable. Even so, he managed it and kept his cool as he looked around and took a general observation of the store.

Sakiko smiled softly. "Mizu-chan really likes silver, so a white gold would probably be a good choice," she suggested, walking slowly to a case full of all sorts of wedding bands. The prices were moderate, not too high but not incredibly cheap. She tucked her hair behind her ear as she looked over the shiny pieces of metal.

Emiel followed Sakiko, feeling slightly out of place. He looked down at the rings, just observing the details and differences between the them. They all seemed so alike to Emiel, so he was having trouble looking at just one ring at a time. "Hmmm..." he said with a thoughtful glare. He knelt down to look at the jewelry at eye level, but he didn't have to look far. Right in front of him sparkled a two-tone gold wedding band, the two sides of the ring white gold, and the middle striped with a light yellow gold. Emiel blinked a few times before mustering up the courage to give word of his discovery. "Sakiko-san...Do you think he'd like this one?" he said pointing at the ring and raising his head with wide, curious, looking up at Sakiko like a small child that had just found the perfect little puppy.

Sakiko, when addressed, turned to look at the ring Emiel was referring to. She gazed at the piece of jewelry in awe, licking a little at the lip gloss on her lips. "Wow, it's beautiful," she cooed softly. "I think he'd love it." She smiled to herself and looked down at Emiel, who was crouched down looking at the ring. "But, you know, I don't think it matters what it looks like too much... I think he'll be pretty blown away with whatever you choose."

Emiel smiled at Sakiko's repsonce, deciding right then that that was the ring he was getting. He giggled and nodded his head in agreement as he lost his balance and fell backwards onto his bottom. Emiel smiled nervously and got back onto his feet, brushing off his pants. "You have no idea." he laughed.
Of course the people on staff had been watching him and Sakiko like hawks, and at the mention of a possible purchase, a woman walked over to the case and offered to show it to Emiel closer. He agreed and the woman took the ring out of the case. It didn't take any convincing to get him to say yes, and it was even within his price range! "I'm so excited I feel sick." he said, his smile glowing with anticipation as he payed for the ring. "Thanks for coming with me, Sakiko-san." he said, thanking her warmly.

Sakiko watched excitedly as Emiel paid for the ring, the ring being handed to him in a black velvet box in a small plastic bag. "Mizu-chan is going to be so happy!" she exclaimed excitedly, clasping her hands together. She couldn't believe what was happening... it had all happened so fast. But she definitely approved of Emiel, that was for sure. But they haven't been dating long... she thought troubledly. I wonder if Mizu-chan's really in love.

Emiel thanked the cashier and walked out of the store with Sakiko. He was smiling brighter than ever before, and he felt so excited he could barely breath. "And I haven't even proposed yet!" he thought with a deep breath. Emiel held the bag up so he could look at it, thinking how he couldn't keep it in the dorm room where both he and Mizu lived. "Ah, Sakiko-san, I have one more favor I'd like to ask you." he said, letting his arm fall back to his side. "I can't keep this at the school, would you mind holding onto it until Mizu's birthday party?"

Sakiko raised her eyebrows. "Oh, sure, I guess so," she said, a little surprised. She took the bag from Emiel gently and studied the thin plastic for a moment. "So I take it that means I'm invited?" she asked with a little laugh.

"Thanks." he said, glad that he didn't have to worry about hiding it from Mizu. Emiel could see the mall entrence from where he was, and felt a wave of excitement rush over him. "The party is tomorrow." That one thought filled his stomach with butterflies and gave him a smile bright enough to blind anyone who looked at it. "Well, Mizu said that you were going to be taking him out somewhere for his birthday, so I can't see why you wouldn't be invited." he said, trying to remember to breath through the chaos that was filling his head.
