A Private Peaceful Place.another crazy kaze rp. Brought to you by Kaze.Did you ever wonder if ants talk to one another? If worms argue about who should get the best dirt? Or, if the crows have affairs with their best friend's girlfriends? Of course you do, unless you're an old stick in the mud. Everybody wonders about mindless things every once in a while. Well, I wonder about the dead. And, don't tell me that you don't, as well! What do they do all day? Do they spy on their neighbors or complain about the trimming of the hedges? Do you think they sleep with their best friend's girlfriend? I suppose if they did all those things it would be something like this... - Navigation - - Intro - Setting - Profiles - The Inhabitants - Extra -

SettingThe Sleeping Garden is a beautiful little non-descript cemetery located behind a quiet old church that never had any kind of trouble or scandal. That whole situation is to be found on the outskirts of a small village in a country of the Western cultural influence and with the ethnicity being mostly Caucasian, with a good ten to fifteen percent being ethnic. Though the town is not memorable or noticeable in any way to the passer through, any number of locals could tell you the place has had a bloody past. Plagues, witch burnings, religious persecutions, lynching... The list goes on and on. If you could name something horrible that could have ever happened, it probably happened there. The little town mostly makes up for its colorful past by being sleepy and uninteresting in its old age. But, the dead have long memories and long teeth, if you're wondering. In the Sleeping Garden, the bodies of murders lay beside babes dead at child birth. Old grandmas sleep beside young murdered highwaymen and the like. One can only imagine the strange dynamics that would occur in such a varied group, can't one? Late at night, when the parson has gone to be and even the caretaker does not care to watch over the silent gravemarkers, the inhabitants below the ground crawl out in ethereal bodies of mist and light. To meet one another, chat about the new neighbors, and mutter about those terrible, terrible hedges... - Navigation - - Intro - Setting - Profiles - The Inhabitants - Extra -

The Inhabitants
All of the Inhabitants of the Sleeping Garden! (All deceased, of course) ~ . ~*~ . ~ Username: KazeYami. Character's Name: Aaron Roe. Character's Age at Death: 28. Character's Age Currently: 32. Character's Means of Death: Run over by bus. Character's Life: Aaron had to grow up quickly, when he was a child. His mother had father had been deeply religious, catholic to be precise. This normally wouldn't have been any kind of problem if it weren't for the fact that Aaron's mother was very ill. Her health had never been good, but having children heavily aggravated her weakness of health. However, because Aaron's father and mother believed heavily that they should not use birth control, despite the best efforts of physicians and clergymen to convince them otherwise, they kept having children and Aaron's mother finally died after her fifth child.
Of course, there was a media uproar. Though the catholic church had not endorsed what Mister and Missus Roe had done, everybody seemed to miss the fact and blame it on the church. Mister Roe, eventually, lost his job and was tried for murdering his wife via neglect. Though acquitted, he had no means by which to support his children and Aaron, who was roughly 13 by the time his father hit rock bottom, had to step up and take care of the family. He fed and clothed his four younger siblings. He went from church to church asking for hand outs and explaining their situation. Not to mention watching after his father, who was slowly sinking into alcoholism.
Eventually, Aaron turned the age of fateful 18 and escaped from his father's home with his siblings in toe. His father was ill enough that Aaron was able to intern him at a retirement home. Aaron got a job through an old friend at an office and worked there for nearly ten years. He paid his rent on time, had baby sitters lined up for his younger siblings, went to parent teacher conferences, and completely through himself into taking care of his little brothers and sister. Tragically, Aaron was killed suddenly while crossing the street in front of a bus that had lost control of its brakes. He was killed instantly.
Aaron, the young man who spent most of his teenage life living for others, was dead and with nothing to do; no one to take care of, save himself. Alone, confused, and terrified, Aaron watched himself become interred in the Sleeping Garden by the oldest of his siblings and their father. Then, was left all alone... Character's Appearance: Aaron Before or After Death: Before~ . ~*~ . ~ Username: Ayanami_Elena Character's Name: Roxanne "Roxy" Maye Character's Age at Death: 20 Character's Age Currently: 21 Character's Means of Death: Stabbed through the heart.
Character's Life: Rozanne left home at the age of 16. It wasn't that her family was bad or anything, they just didn't understand her. However, Roxy did not realize what she was getting into until it was too late.
Greg was the kind of man who thought of only himself. Everyone else was just a source of money. Roxy was no exception, she was pretty and men would pay high door for someone with that pretty face. He found Roxy on the streets, hungry. He offered her a meal, which she agreed to immediately. After that, he made a deal: to give Roxy a job and protection.
After accepting the deal, Roxy met the other girls and learned how to separate her emotions from her actions. It took a while, but Roxy was lucky to get good first clients. Within a year, Roxy had learned the tricks of the trade.
The deal that Greg offered was a good gig. Roxy lived in a pleasant flat with the other girls. She was paid well and since Greg had high standards and a large desire for money, his girls were "escorts" and "companions" as opposed to "streetwalkers."
However, that changed when Greg ran into trouble. His greed got the best of him and he owned someone money. To cover his debt, he sold some of his merchandise. Roxy got transferred and her new employer was not as nice as Greg. Under her new employer, Roxy had to walk the streets and found a knife in her chest after her first client.
Roxanne was buried after an empty funeral. Her family did not know that she had died and her killer got away.
Character's Appearance: <-- Before or After Death: Before~ . ~*~ . ~ Username: razorbladelove666 Character's Name: Elizabeth Stone Character's Age at Death: 18 Character's Age Currently: 25 Character's Means of Death: Gun to the head. Character's Life: Outsiders to the Stone family would say that they were perfect: trophy wife, susccessful businessman for a the father, smart, beautiful daughter and a son who always achieved anything he set out to do. So, why would anyone think there was something to worry about? Then let me ellaborate. Elizabeth's father and mother, Kevin and Sarah Stone, were arranged to be married around the age of 18. The whole thing was organized for mostly money and power; however, Sarah Stone's parents, along with Kevin, critized her for slightest of things after the young couple were married. After a short while of three months or so, Kevin became very abusive towards Sarah, even as she was carrying Eric Stone, Elizabeth's older brother. When Eric was born, Sarah began to heavily drink and would almost pass out at the end of the day, or any time really because some days the abuse wasn't so bad as others. When Sarah found out that she was pregnant with Elizabeth, she lightened up on the drinking, though she didn't stop completely. Elizabeth was born and at the time Eric was four years old. Elizabeth grew up in a relatively short time, having the that she did. Once Elizabeth had entered into the junior high years, she began to catch the attention of both Kevin and Eric's attention. So, in short when Sarah passed out, Kevin and Eric would have their way with Elizabeth. After a few years, Elizabeth began to fight back, but, whenever she tried, Kevin and Eric would work together. Elizabeth knew she had to get out of it all, but she wasn't going to take the easy way out. On her eighteenth birthday, Elizabeth snuck out of the house when Kevin and Eric were out and went to a motel. She knew that keeping quiet about the whole ordeal wouldn't help her so she organized a meeting between she and a detective. On the night the meeting was supposed to take place, Elizabeth never showed. Her father and Eric found her, raped her and put a bullet through her head before she destroyed their reputations. Though she died, Elizabeth continues to haunt Kevin and Eric and never gives them rest. However, she watches over Sarah and even helped her to escape from the two. Morally, I'm destitute In the Tomb of Ill Repute. She's a rotten kinda cute For a Zombie Prostitute.
Roxanne's coffin had been placed in a cold crowded sepulcher. No one was there to pay for a nice funeral, coffin, or small lot of land. No, Roxy was forced, even in death to be homeless and stay in the apartment housing of the land of the dead.
When night fell, it was similar to being in a coed dorm hall or a chicken coop. The noise, noise of people talking, moving, signing, attacked your sleeping ears and forced you to wake. However, Roxy was used to living with other people. In the last four years of her living life, she had stayed in the same flat with six other girls.
Roxy yawned and stretched as best she could in the small confides of her coffin before removing the lid. It swung up and she climbed out. The swarm of other waking residents flew around her as she dusted off her dress. Like the coffin and the apartment complex, Roxy was still wearing the dress she had on when she died. It had been cut to be removed, and now had a haphazard seam down the front. Luckily they had enough sense to merely remove the corset.
As the last of the flock left the sepulcher, Roxy exited to the night sky. She had not gotten out much in the year she had been here. She was still getting use to the whole dead and not-so-dead thing. But she was now bored and thought, hell, with an eternity in this place, might as well get to know some people...

Aaron sat, leaning haphazardly against the wall of the mausoleum of which so many new people were filtering out. A new girl, whom had only been set into the concrete shelves within a few nights ago, was mingling with many other friendly neighbors of the mausoleum. Aaron kept back, vaguely interested, but not really.
Lately, his siblings visited his grave less and less. He supposed he should have been happy, seeing as it meant that they were finally getting on with their own lives and no longer thinking so much about their dead and selfless older brother. But, it still left him lonely.
In all the time that Aaron had spent within the Sleeping Garden, he had made no real effort to get to know the other dead that stayed there. Sure, there were all kinds of interesting people he spoke with on a regular basis to get out of his own head for a short while. But, in the end, introspection had been the basis of all his time in the Sleeping Garden. And, really, despite all the good it had done for him as a human being, it had done nothing for his socializing skills. It was probably best to make some friends. Real friends, not just cool highwaymen who were missing hands and s**t.
Just as he was following this line of thinking, a pretty young girl in a corset came stumbling out of the mausoleum. She looked disoriented and seemed to be looking intently for someone to talk to, perhaps?
"Miss!" Aaron called out, standing up and away from the mausoleum a little bit. "Hello, hello! Very nice to meet you, I'm Aaron. Aaron Roe," he explained enthusiastically, his best salesman smile on.

Roxy exited into the crowd of people who were fortunately dispersing. Some of the residents here were quite old and along in the decay process. Not that Roxy's sense of smell was intact; but some things were more mental really, and decay had a horrid mental smell.
Roxanne watched the madness around her in amazement, while looking through the forest of people to find, well, to find anything of interest. That is when, a young man entered her line of vision. He greeted her. At first, Roxy turned her head, continuing to look around, but then she walked over towards him. She quickly glanced over him, and then looked around once again. Roxy bit her lower lip, it had been so long since she had even talked to another person, much less one that wasn't a client.
She turned back towards him, her messy light brown hair falling from its haphazard bonds. Her hazel green eyes smiled as she said, "Pleasure, Aaron. My name is Roxy Maye."

Aaron felt his smile settle into a warmer and more natural position on his face as Roxy acknowledged him and approached him. She looked small and fragile, and he didn't necessarily think this with just her physical appearance in mind. Her shoulders were hunched slightly and her eyes seemed to dart nervously, rather than settling easily onto one area or subject of interest. Aaron, of course, had no idea what had brought another person to die as young as himself, but he deduced from her nervous nature that it probably wasn't pretty.
"It's nice to meet you, Roxy Maye," Aaron replied jovially, still somewhat engrossed in the mode of speech and body language that he had used in his previous life as a sales/business-man. "I apologize if I sound forward. I don't usually come to this part of the graveyard. How are you doing this evening?" he continued on conversationally.
((Sorry. ;o; Writer's block...))

Roxy looked at the young man. He looked only a few years older than her; but she could see the slight signs of decay. He had obviously a resident here for quite longer. He seemed comfortable and at ease; and Roxy was not sure if that was a good thing or not.
Not like he can do much to me. I am already dead... Yeah, but that doesn't mean he cannot harm you. I blade won't kill you (again), but a fire will put you out for sure.
Roxy pushed her thoughts back, Aaron was talking to her. She nodded her head politely. "I am doing... fine. What parts of the graveyard do you attend, Mr. Roe?" Roxy's hand absently went to her neck and grabbed hold of the red beaded chain. She twirled it in her fingers, forcing the chain to grow shorter. She then let the chain go and the beaded necklace fell upon her chest next to the dark scar and stitches. The scar was several inches long before it disappeared beneath her corset.
((It is okay. ))

Aaron watched the dangling crucifix swing back and forth distractingly before being jolted out of his reverie as Roxy dropped the trinket into her corset, directly between her cleavage.
Slightly ashamed of himself, Aaron felt his face flush red as he drew his eyes back up to Roxy's face.
"I'm glad to hear you're well! As for me, I live just over there," Aaron indicated, pointing in the general direction of the little add on the church had bought from a nearby farmer during the eighties. "But, it gets pretty boring over there. It's mostly little old biddies and their husbands. I suppose it's nice that nothing too tragic happened to anyone in those years, but its something of a downside for me. All my neighbors want to talk about is the hedges..." Aaron trailed off, looking distasteful.

Roxy, whose eyes had finally come to rest on Aaron, noticed him turn red (well, as red as an undead could) when she dropped her necklace. She smiled, falling back to her old habits. So, even in death, man's desires remain the same, she thought. She began playing with a loose strand of hair.
"Ah. Well, what do you do for entertainment around here, Mr. Roe? Do you bustle the hedgerows?"
Roxy walked to the other side of Aaron, where the wall grew lower. She put her hands on the ledge and lifted herself on to it. Her black dress swayed in the wind.

"For fun...?" Aaron muttered, a little dazed. He hadn't expected to see such a rueful, yet playful look from Miss Roxy, but he supposed that he didn't know her at all. At least, not well enough to be making assumptions about how or how she might not look at him.
"Ah, well, I have to admit there isn't much!" Aaron exclaimed, finally jerking himself out of his dazed self. And, here he thought he had graduated from puberty. "I mean, I listen to the old war veterans, they're all kinds of fun, even if they keep telling the same stories over and over again." On that train of thinking, Aaron was pretty sure that he couldn't even get a boner anymore! "In fact, talking to interesting people is most of what I do," Aaron explained, babbling mindlessly while his mind pursued the same internal strain. Thinking about how, maybe men just naturally appreciated that kind of beauty, sexual or not. There was such a thing as aesthetic appreciation, he was pretty sure. Pretty sure. "I think you're pretty interesting, anyway. I hope you don't mind."

Roxy giggled. "Of course I don't mind." Roxy was getting more relaxed in the conversation. Unlike her last patron, Aaron did not give her that horrible gut feeling that something was going to go wrong. Rather, it was the complete opposite. He seemed like one of those sweet boys who would be so nervous on a first date they would drop their keys. Well, maybe not that bad. But Roxy was pretty sure his thoughts were not malicious.
"Well," Roxy said as she jumped off the low ledge. She spun around, her dress, hair, and necklace continuing their momentum around her. "How about we find something to do?" Most of the other residence had set up spots on the lawn, while others walked around the abandoned path.

Aaron's face lit up as Roxy spun around. He was so very happy that she had lightened up. Maybe she had just needed someone to talk to, to lighten her mood. Either way, he was happy that he was able to help her be happy.
"Why, I'd be ecstatic to take you on a stroll, if you'd be so inclined!" Aaron returned, offering his arm for Roxy to hold.
