Yep, the title says it all. I just had the weird notion to make a Gaia Crashers video game in RPG Maker, just for kicks. Post here if you want to be in it, and tell me about what you want your character to be like, as well as posting the plainest and simplest avatar you have (or make one that's simple if you don't have any). As a note, this can be a silly game along the lines of Disgaea, but it also can't be completely wacky and ridiculous. I'm afraid to say that I enjoy having some semblance of a cohesive plot.
Speaking of plots, here are my two ideas:
1. Playing off of our connection to Spirit Week, we have to travel through several different worlds, each connected to a day of Spirit Week, such as Grey World, or Animal World. I was thinking something about how we are stealing the "Gaia" from each world (the earth's life force), and taking it with us. It will seem like we're bad guys, but actually in the end we use all the different Gaia Spheres (or whatever) that we've collected to build a world of diversity that unites all the different worlds.
2. Alternately, I could go more with the Crashers theme and have us all be characters on the internet, perhaps in an online game. We'll discover some evil plot that the makers of the game have, such as using the players as guinea pigs in some cruel experiments or something, and set about trying to crash the whole game one bit at a time.
Anyway, please help me brainstorm ideas for this! The Crashers have to be involved in their own video game!
I will also be posting the sprites here as I make them, so be on the look out!
