There is a set procedure which must be followed regarding the banning of NCS members - primarily that the council be consulted and an open vote from amongst the 5 taken (or the whole guild). Gracchvs has violated this procedure and banned 3 members without consulting any other member of the council.
I move that in retort to his irresponsible use of "crew" privileges he be stripped of these privileges until they are awarded again via future elections.
Procedure: The 5 council members vote accordingly (either to strip or not to strip) other guild members may add their input and thoughts as they see fit.

But we continually stress the fact that we are not Stalinists, and so we ought not to conduct Stalinistic purges without following the procedures outlined in the constitution.

As far as I know this is the standard procedure. I could pull out my old copy of that is what you're remarking on. Otherwise I clearly am in support of your posting.

I banned known fascists.
I have no idea how they got in here, and banned them (while conferring with the guild members in the chat at the time: Hero, Raz, Kotka) without crew knowledge because there were no other crew members around. Rather than have them spam the place and possibly have more be invited, I took drastic measures as were needed.
Rather than have me demoted, I request that I maintain crew status until the result of the election is known so that I may continue to do this.
I am responsible with these powers, as is known. I am not banhappy, and those banned are the only people to have suffered such a fate.
Even in heated arguments in the Chat, rather than ban anyone, I myself leave. When I last left, I even gave Co-ownership of the Chat to Tank and Mann.
If that is not enough to prove that I am in fact responsible in my use of crew powers, I have no idea what is.

My vote is that Gracchvs may retain Crew status until the election. However, I would also stress that this scenario must not happen again. No more banning without the standard Crew vote.

I'll support that Gracchvs and Mere so long as it's explicit that procedure will be followed in the future. I would likewise note that we ought to create rules, should it be decided that the guild be open to all ideologies, that some members may be allowed to be members but without voting rights.

He stepped up to deal with an old enemy of ours that had infiltrated our guild via a corrupt or stupid mod.
He had the backbone to do something controvercial to deal with them, that none of the other mods or members stood up to do. For that, I salute him.

However we are a democratic guild, and due process was not followed. In order that the guild remain democratic, we must abide by the procedures outlined in the constitution. By breaking from the rules, we undermine our own credibility.

When faced with enemies, the Romans would suspend the republic and institute two Consuls who would defend the republic with dictatorial powers, without needing due process. Gracchvs' actions may be necessary to hold off Fascists that try to infiltrate the guild.
