((Because of my... carelessness -.- Instead of deleting a post I accidentally deleted the TOPIC... so, this is me rewriting the environment. Dreadfully sorry everyone. On the bright side, we're practically out of the area and it's doubtful we'll be back.))

[brief event summary: Jessica's truck is en route out of the farmland, with Neon up front, Smith, Artemas and Bradley up on top of the trailer, and everyone else inside. The truck is about to hit the densest portion of zombies, and Artemas has told Smith to prepare to throw his propane tank out over the front of the truck as Jessica slows it down]

Surrounded by an acre of fields is a single farmhouse, two stories tall and built out of wood. There is a porch that leads to the front door, and a screened in back porch outside the other door.

On the first floor is a living room, a bathroom, a kitchen, and small lounge. On the second floor are three bedrooms and the makings of a small library. Various closets dot each floor. Out back is a moderately sized tool shed, nailed shut. Inside are a handful of infected dogs.

The fields surrounding the farmhouse are filled with armed proximity mines, hidden in the dirt. In the field north of the farmhouse, concealed in the wheat that's growing there, is a hidden bunker leading down to a Darkeye Syndicate Mainframe. Booby traps guard the length of tunnel that descends from the manhole above, posing danger to anyone unaware of their presence.

Cutting through the horde of zombies that came from all sides at the semi Jessica was had only caught some of what had been said by the man on the roof of the trailer but she was quick to put it altogether as begin to slow down but damn if she felt safe in doing that after all those things where everywhere now. However, she did let off the paddle but she did not press the brake, as the semi would slow on its own added with the mass of bodies in front of it. Moving now at a much slower rate of speed Jessica shoke her head as she stared out the front of the windshield. “Damn it I hope they got a plan or we may not make it out of this mess.” Having to nearly yell now as the zombies that had surrounded the semi where starting to scrap their fingers across the metal shell their moans filling the darkness of the fields added to the effect of terror that threatened to burst from her mind and over take her body.

(((OoC: It was actually Bradley on top of the roof of the Semi. With Westley inside.)))

Bradley held on tight as the Semi hit the first wave of zombies. He squeezed off the last of his rifle ammo and groaned as he heard the click click click of him squeezing off the empty gun. Slinging the rifle back over his back, he switched to his pistol. "Anytime you wanna get us outta here would be fine by me!" He said, starting to fire off shots into the sea of heads below. He now had 24 shots left. 23. 22...

Westley brought his legs up onto the seat and curled into a ball as the sound of fingernails scraping the sides of the semi started. He whimpered a little bit and squeezed himself as tight as he could into a back corner. He took his hands and plugged his ears with them, but could not escape the grinding noise.

The fingernails clawing at the side of the semi made a noise he had never heard before. It sounded like nails scratching a chalkboard, but there was an elusive tone buried within all of the moans and scratching. The noise at first startled Reese, no matter how old you get, the nightmares of when you were a kid still remain. And they still loomed within Reese's head. Even with these feelings, Reese could not show them. If Westley saw him being scared, he might lose all hope. And he looked pretty bad at the moment.

Reese picked up his rifle almost instinctively, and he held it at the ready, keeping his eye on the door. The door would probably hold, but one could never be too careful. He then looked at Westley, who was now in the fetal position. Reese then saw himself back when he was that young. The level of fear and hatred, all wrapped in the unknown. The coming of the apocalypse would bring most fully grown men to their knees, in yet Westley still resists. Reese had not seen a child of such strength in years. Especially with the recent events. Any normal person his age would have probably had a full mental breakdown by now. But through the struggle, Westley was still scared, and that was a fact. Reese had to reassure him that is was safe, that all hope was not lost.

"Westley, don't worry, if they do manage to get in here, they will have to get through me before they get anywhere near you." It wasn't much, but sometimes a small reassurance was all it took. While Reese continued to think, he remained at the ready, watching the door for something that would probably never come.

((OoC: Well, Westley's kinda already had his mental breakdown when he was shut in the School Kitchen... He managed to piece back together his sanity somewhere around the time his dad came and saved him.))

Westley looked across the Trailer at the man he had just met. "I-I'm scared Reese..." He said, trembling. Of course, that pretty much just summed up what everyone was feeling. Of course, he still felt a tad worse than the rest because he had a bit of food poisoning still in him. And it was acting up now. Joy for him. Looking over, he saw a trashcan behind him, perfect. He turned around and bowed his head over it, giving a big retch and out came stomach fluids. Ugh... when will all of the bad food go away?

User Image((John, if you don't mind, after you post we should time skip out of the farmhouse thread so that we can unite everyone back in Buffalo. The faster we do that, the faster we can get everyone out of hee-uh.))The truck was practically wading through zombies now, and all around the three men on top of the trailer, arms were struggling to reach up and grab them. They couldn't though. Artemas knew that much. The trailer was too tall for any creature without the brains to climb it to get them. The sound of bodies hitting the front of the semi was almost as loud as the engine itself, and Artemas kept low to the trailer's roof as the wheels rolled over numerous corpses. Jessica was slowing down though, as he'd said. That was a very good thing. Had he any sort of empathy, he might have even been impressed with her ability to keep her cool. He didn't, though. So he wasn't.

"Anytime you wanna get us outta here would be fine by me!"

It was time. They were approximately halfway through the densest portion of the undead. Two propane tanks away from freedom, and they had two.
Artemas shouted over the endless groans of the undead, yelling into the back window of the semi.

"WHEN YOU SEE THE EXPLOSION, ACCELERATE!"

With the truck nearing its slowest speed, Artemas rose up off his knees with
Umbro in one hand and the other curled around his propane tank's valve. He looked to John and gave him a simple suggestion.

"FOLLOW MY LEAD!"

With that, Artemas swung his right arm, holding the propane tank, in a full circuit clockwise, building up the tank's momentum. He did it once more, and as it crested in front of him he released the tank. It sailed far through the air, nearly twenty-five feet, before it struck a zombie in the chest. The heavy metal tank knocked the shambler off its feet, and in the second that followed Artemas had
Umbro's stock to his shoulder and his eyes glancing down the rifle's sites. Had the truck's floodlights been off, it would have been an impossible shot, but in the garrish light Artemas saw the glint of polished metal.

He fire one shot. It missed the tank and struck the shambler under it in the neck. It gargled curiously. He fired a second, and as he hit the roof for stability the area in front of them exploded in flame. A deafening sound rippled through the forest as it leveled zombies past the hood of the semi with its shockwave, the tightly packed undead suffering the consequences of the explosion's domino effect. Those shamblers that had been near the point of impact were no longer their, either incinerated or blown to pieces,

There was now a gaping hole 35 feet wide and 35 feet long in front of the semi, opening the way to their escape. All that remained, if Jessica sped up as she was told, were four shamblers clinging to the front of the semi. They'd meet the wheels in seconds, and after John's propane tank was lit there would be no chance for the undead to recover. They hadn't even begun to attempt to strand again. Perhaps their vacant brains had yet to even process that they were on the ground.

((Sorry about not posting for a while... Just have been flogged with school and other things, trying to keep up with other parts of this guild, and I thought this place was already through... I will just take a few moments now to be hardcore ninja ))

Smith lifted the propane tank with one hand, doing almost the exact same thing as Artemas did, releasing it into the crowd. The tank slammed into the head of an undead, taking it clear off and smacking into the one behind it, the shambler going to the ground within moments as Smith took his aim with the revolver, putting his other hand under on the hilt to get a good aim before firing off a succession of two rounds, one hitting through a zombie in the way and slightly impacting the canister, the second one igniting it with good results.

Yet another deafening boom came from the area, he could feel the heat coming from this one, and burning corpses were lying on the ground with torn up bodies from the explosion and the shrapnel. "Lets get our damn asses out of here!" he tried to yell over all the noise, sitting back down on the trailer waiting for them to finally get through this sea of corpses.

"They better have a plan or I swear I will kill them." She said to Jessica, crossing her arms as she looked around at the zombies surrounding the truck. Neon was horrified about being surrounded by zombies, who wouldn't be. The only exception were probably the daft bastards on top of the truck who were probably having a grand ole time. 'I hope they get eaten' She thought before two tanks flew out a few yards out and exploded, destroying a very large portion of zombies in front of the semi. "What the-Son of a-!" Neon started as zombie pieces and bits flew onto the truck and on to the side of the road, the path in front of them clearing. "s**t! Step on it!" She yelled, trying her best to not freak out in front of the hot chick sitting next to her.

((Time skipping us back to Buffalo!))

The truck lurched forward, Jessica doing what any sane person would do. The zombies clinging to the semi's bumper were crushed beneath its wheels as the vehicle sped ahead, knocking aside the few zombies that remained in its path. In less than a minute, the truck had cleared the wave of undead, and was speeding onward towards its destination.

Back to Buffalo.
