The pitter patter of raindrops seemed almost like white noise to Leena as she raced down the streets of London. She couldn't believe she forgot her trunk at home like the dimwit she was. Luckily, by the time she sent an owl to her mother she received one that informed her her mother would send the trunk to the train station and everything was going to be perfectly okay... not.
"Mother!" she cried, "How could you do this to me?" Leena stood face-to-fabric with a polyester bubble pink suitcase that said Barbie! in bold, hot pink letters. "You sent me the wrong luggage." She could picture the entire school pointing and laughing at a severely depressed Leena. "I'll become a social outcast for the rest of my career at Hogwarts." She heaved a sigh, and decided better to take the embarassing muggle suitcase with her than nothing at all. She could owl her mother once she made it to the platform. She entered the station and carried on until she came to a sign that informed her of platform nine and ten; a brick divider between the signs.

Kali stood beside her best friend between platforms nine and ten. She could see her worried expression...probably about that silly pink luggage her mother gave her. She leaned in so only Leena could hear. "We still have time...I could 'fix' it over there, if you'd like..." She said pointing to a conviently located phone booth, not too far away. Kali always had a knack for transfiguration...be it changing a rock into a mouse, or the color of a trunk. She couldn't let her best friend go to school with that. "Why do you still have it anyway?"

"Eep!" Leena squeeked, surprised by the sudden appearance of her friend. "Oh, Candy." she said, using her friends nickname, "You surprised me." She considered taking her up on the offer. "You know how my mom is... she's a packrat and a ditz. Its not a good combination."

Kali giggled at her friend's comment. "Hey, be glad your mom's not a drama queen. But really, do you want me to take a look at it? It'll take just a second."

"Be my guest." she said, motioning at her disgustingly pink muggle bag. She smiled at the thought of Kali's mother. If it wasn't for her, Kali wouldn't be with her at this moment. She silently thanked the ridiculous woman.

Kali glanced around. There weren't too many muggles at the moment. She quickly took the pink trunk from Leena and headed to an empty phone booth. "Watch my stuff." She whispered, motioning to her suitcase, owl, and travel bag.
She entered the booth and took out her wand. She covered the trunk with her long jacket and taped the trunk gently. In an instant the color was no longer bright pink, but a soft charcoal, and the big Barbie! sticker was replaced with a much smaller sticker, with Leena's favorite band logo on it.
"Here you go." She said, handing the trunk back to Leena. "I hope you like it."

"Thanks a bunch." Leena said, taking back the once embarassing bag. "You're a lifesaver." She turned from her friend and looked over he shoulder. he motioned to the wall between the two platforms. "Shall we." she said, not making it a question. Leena took a look around, timing the best moment. There were few muggles today, but you never know. She tightened a hand around the bag's handle and took a deep breath. Charging towards the wall, she didn't flinch as she passed through the portal. She opened her eyes and smiled. There she was... on Platform 9 3/4.

Angel cast a glance at the new people who walked in and gave a sly grin before walking over a straightening her face. "Well if it isn't my two favorite pals in the whole world" She smiled pleasently.

"Yes mother, I can go through on my own," Draco drawled out for the millionth time since arriving to Kings Cross Station with his parents. He didn’t even see the need of arriving with his parents in tow, but Narcissa had wanted to see her son off and had somehow, though Draco didn’t know how, gotten Lucius to come along.
“Will you be coming home for Winter Break?” He heard his mother ask.
“I don’t know yet. I’ll write to you when it gets closer. Now I must get on the train before I’m stuck in a compartment with some idiots from another house,” Draco replied, knowing full well that he would have a place in any Slytherin compartment he chose. After breaking away from his family, the young blonde wheeled his trunk and owl cage through the brick wall that hid platform 9 ¾.
“Really, muggles are so stupid to never get wise to that,” the young boy replied with a scoff, looking around the crowded platform. Everyone was still in their normal clothes, having no need to change into their school robes yet. And even so, the Slytherin boy was able to pick out whom to avoid and who would be a decent person to strike up a conversation with, if he chose to.
“And here we are,” he said to himself.

Not that Leena had any personal problems with the Slytherin girl. She talked with her a couple time to share some notes, but... she was a Slytherin. Weren't they supposed to be so full of themselves not to associate themselves with someone of another house? 'Exactly why no one wants to be one.'
"Umm... hello, Angel?" she said, raising an eyebrow. 'Well... this is awkward.'
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed another person walk through. It was Draco Malfoy. Leena wanted to scream. 'Not another Slytherin.' Maybe, if she was lucky, he wouldn't come over here...

Granted, she didn't exactly trust the girl, but she didn't hate her either. She had her sweet moments... "You want some candy? I picked up a bunch from Honey Dukes." she said, motioning to her carry-on.

Seeing the small crowd, Draco heading in that direction, grey eyes sweeping over the three people, “a Gryffindor, a Ravenclaw and a Slytherin. It sounds like the beginning of a very bad joke,” the blonde commented with a cold laugh. “Why is a Slytherin talking to these two anyway?” He asked of Angel.

Upon seeing Draco, Angel casted a small frown before, with a small flick of her wand, causing the chocolate frog to explode while she swiftly closed the cabin door as chocolate shot every which way in the cabin, staining the gryffindor and Ravenclaw's face and robes. "A welcoming shot from me to my fellow Americans" she clicked her tongue sliding the door open as she spoke "Have a wonderful day" she beamed as she closed the door and turned to malfoy with a smile. "A prank and nothing more, honest" She chuckled holding out a hand and turning on the slytherin charm "After you Draco"
'Sigh...the things one must do to be accepted among her peers, peer pressure truly is a harsh thing' she tsked herself
